"Recall" tells the story of Winston-a genetically engineered gorilla and brilliant scientist who longs for the days of heroism to return. In this episode, we explore Winston's thoughts and memories as he wrestles with the decision to recall the agents of Overwatch, all while the forces of Talon stage an attack on his laboratory in the abandoned Watchpoint: Gibraltar.

They've had Sojourn planned for over six years. You can see her at roughly 7:21 if you go frame by frame. It's crazy how far OW devs think in advance.

No, its not to each their own. You're just plain wrong. Throwing a shotgun away and grabbing a new gun is not and can never be considered re-loading.

They actually show Sojourn in the recalled agents. Would be interesting to see how many characters they already had designed since the game's release that we just haven't seen yet.
Echo is in the very first trailer (the very first video in this channel) from 2014 and she was added in 2020.
For a split second you can see Sojourn as Winston looks at all the agents, 6 years before Sojourn was added to the game.

They would make a ton of money from it. I wonder why they havent done it yet. A lot of new lore could also help revive the player base.
Maurice Johnson I’m sure the reason they don’t is because the more heroes they add at once, the harder it is to balance each one out. Plus, we get 3 heroes yearly so it’s not a big issue.

Every time I watch a trailer for Overwatch I wish they'd make a movie about it. Definitely would prefer an Overwatch CGI movie over a Warcraft half CGI/half live action movie.

+ZeitLan Inc. you know that a cinematic like this take around 7 months to do for only 5 minutes and all the money put into this ? for now is actually impossible well is possible but the movie would take 10 years to make and would cost billion to make lol
+ZeitLan Inc. WoW has a following behind it and an extensive lore so it's indefinitely more profitable than Overwatch. Making a CGI movie that sells well isn't easy (well maybe with some marketing, but the movies would have to aim for a PG rating tops to be successful). I'm not even too sure that the Rachet and Clank movie will do well, but I hope it does because then we might start paving the way for hopefully good video game movie adaptations.

OW devs put so much effort into fleshing out the story of this game, every character has such a rich backstory and every character has a fair amount of depth. Especially winston, I honestly felt for his story about being the heart of overwatch who misses his family and yearns for the good old days, those stories always get me in the feels.

I think it is becase winston is behind his computer 24/7, he would notice that he was being hacked. And if it came to a fight, winston would probably f*ck sombra up, so they sent reaper, who could theoretically win from winston (if he wasn't so cocky).
Sombra probably made the virus, and then they sent a highly trained mercenary to upload it in the middle of a gunfight. Seems legit to me...
What is funny though, is how Reaper, who's been pimped into a super soldier/weapon since forever just swooshes in, stuffs a usb in a computer and is just sitting there chilling while like a dozen plebs get their skulls smashed instead...

Well, the game comes from all the way back from 2010 if i'm correct, and they had tons of designs, even some for today's heroes, so there's a lot of material to check if it fits with lore, personality and gameplay. Still, Soujorn comes all the way back to the events of Storm Rising where she lead the team to search for Maximilien, so the character was already established, just not given an appearance

Having just seen Warcraft, I believe they're gonna make at least another movie, which basically follows the story of Warcraft 2. The ending definitely laid up for another movie. I'm certain they can profit from them, and then create a series with similar style as this.

They maybe are, but you got to consider that, according to the lore, Talon current mission is to kill all former Overwatch members, so most of them could be already dead by now (ergo we will probably never see them in game)
