Yes. They meant that a sequel doesn't necessarily come with new comtent, it can be just the resumption of updating the game after a period of abandonment of 3 years and putting a 2 in the name.

With PVE officially cancelled, this cinematic is the best thing to come out of OW2.
Considering that OW2 is just OW1 except without LFG, without workshop, and overall a worse experience in every way possible, this is literally the only think that OW2 actually produced rather than destroyed.

It's crazy what OW2 couldve been. I remember my very first time when I finished watching the OW1 opening back in 2016 I thought "theres no story mode". Like characters settings conflict an active antagonist, legit everything was there. When OW2 was announced I was like finally we have a PVE campaign. Now we have nothing and being a tank main makes it worse.

I remember seeing this in 2019
It was late night in my timezone, but I knew there were a chance of having something of OW in the blizzcon, so I keep watching the stream, and just when my eyes were getting sleepy, they reveal this cinematic
I was actually jumping when I saw this! I absolutely loved the OW lore and the Arquive events, and this was bringing both! I remember seeing the few testers of the PvE with so much hype. And then the years passed and… yeah
I truly loved this game, and I may be picking it a day or so, but I don’t think I will ever get as passionate as I was before
....pve is canceled now. At least the original vision of it..

He could’ve easily solo’d that robot but you know you can’t make one character too op
I saw someone say using his dragon blade puts a large toll on his body, which is why in the Dragons animated short he needs to "let out steam" after using it (not actually sure if it's steam). He also probably didn't want to risk destroying the buildings and killing innocents by blowing up the robot. But hey, doesn't change that he could've destroyed that thing no problem.
Its a lot of robot for him to Samurai Jack through. I think sharing the moment was the move.

@@jessesprankle8606 the dragon doesn't take a massive toll on his body, the steam he releases is because his body is created in a way to let out excess pressure build up most likely due to some form of compression mechanic built in. The dragon itself may wear him down but not to the extent you're thinking.

It’s such a punch in the gut. I love this game so much because of the amazing characters and the lore they have made. We want to learn more and PvE would have made it so great. It is so upsetting that they are going back on what they promised us.

Every time I see this video I just break down crying man I can't help it. This represents the end of Overwatch for me. Almost like a "Thank you for playing"... @@somethingdifferent9024OW2 was fully hyped with pack of story modes. Sure it is still a multiplayer game, but what OW2 is trying to sell at first is the huge story mode features. Turns out it goes the opposite way when it’s released.
