What you talking about? Overwatch 2 had more work, they putting alot of effort in PVE that they had to delay it. They even had to change some the graphics, animation and design in Overwatch 2.

Something funny, is that I always thought that McCree was just conveniently there when Ashe derailed the train, but then I thought about it and now I think that he knows the Deadlock gang so well, that he actually predicted that they'd rob the train.
At the beginning of the short, you see him pick up the chip that he uses to awaken Echo, as well as the fact that he was just chilling, eating pie and doesn't even flinch when there's an *EXPLOSION* above his head and he only stops eating when the dust has mostly settled. As well as the fact that he ONLY wants "That crate" and "everything else is yours."
I just really like the idea that McCree is so far ahead of Ashe that he knew exactly how she'd, not only not shoot him on sight, but also that she'd rob the train in the first place and blow it off of the tracks, so he could even get to it.
The lines "Well Ashe... I've been kind of busy" and "You've never been one to shy away from a good tip" just strengthen this even more

I still don’t get how they haven’t made a movie of this Game. The total time of animations is well over 2 hours at this point, I would pay a premium to see an Overwatch Movie in this animation style.
It's all logistics I think. The budget would have to be massive and video game movies don't tend to do well. These shorts work as marketing, but anything longer probably wouldn't fly because everyone knows how few risks Hollywood takes, and OW isn't that popular anymore.
Definitely agree that it was a massive missed opportunity that there was no movie at the height of Overwatch's popularity though. Literally EVERYONE was playing it. Definitely would've succeeded.
