Probably one of the best and most informative technical videos I've seen on RUclips. Valuable and concise information, and well presented and produced. Really helped me get my 2000 up to snuff. Thank You. Saved me money and I learned a lot. You have , 'the knack'!
This is the most comprehensive maintenance video I've ever seen. Clearly an above standard production. The high quality points are: (1) The concise spoken words of the narrator, excellent flow and tamber. (2) Pre-points of diagnosis and his order of disassembly. (3) Down to earth perspective of the affected components. How to acquire them and tested methods of remedy. (4) Miking technique: Clear audio of consistent levels with no background noise. (5) Videography: Crisp focusing from macro to Infinity. Well-centered and field of view. (6) Lighting: Evenly diffused indoor luminance with minimal shadowing. good outdoor compensation. (7) Post production: Seamless video editing. Tasteful video effects. Smooth audio throughout duration.😄 I hope to see more of your presentations.
This the best Honda generator video I’ve seen on RUclips. Your definitely a New Yorker most likely Long Island wish I new you when I lived in Brooklyn.
Amazing! Thank you for lending us your knowledge and explaining everything to us like we're 5 year olds😂 It's nice to be able to hear and see the little details make all the difference thanks again.
Excellent video sir. Your explanations were clear and concise. You didn't annoy the viewer with unnecessary processes yet clearly explained all which was necessary. Great camera angles. Your cadence suits me perfectly. Thank you.
Great video. I purchased a new Honda oem carb for my EU200i and it still surges, have to keep the choke closed 3/4 for smooth running. I will be testing the fuel pump and checking lines next. Also, mounting gaskets did not come with new carb so will replace if that could be cause of the problem. Thanks for your help!
I have just bought a brand new carb off "Ali Express" £15, took just under 2 weeks to arrive, I swapped over the white bit at the top and the generator works lovely now. Hardly worth messing around with the old one at this sort of price
I had carburator cleaned and gen would not start but using your funnel feed method the gen started immediately indicating fuel delivery problem. Tried again to start w/o the funnel tank and no go. tI then took fuel hose out to a jar and pulled the cord 4 times and not a drop came out again indicating fuel delivery problem from the pump back to tank. But before I embark into the complexity of the pump check and tank filter removal i need to test again because I'm not sure if switch on gen had to be on and the Eco off before starting with Funnel tank. I did not observe this so I need to do again. I did not disconnect any electrical wires as you did which leads me to question how did gen start w/o the electrical wires connected. I would appreciate if you could shoot me a quick answer and also direct me to any video you may have done on removing pump and tank filter. I noticed you have a totally undressed gen which allows you to do many things. I'm not a pro and all I have taken out is the front cover and the carb but for the pump and fuel filters I can see you have to fully undress the gen which may be an additional complex job. Ialso want to comment you on this excellent video its by far the best i have ever seen and has taught me many things specially the funnel tank! Super idea to eliminate checking other areas. I have seen it over 10 times and with cc on so i can stop and read what you say which sometimes I miss. Keep up the good work!
Hi can you maybe help me please. I have an older eu2200i companion I say is older I got it the years ago, it came without a rectifier any way I was wondering if you could tell me what position the spark unit wires go also there's four little wires that are in a 8 wire connector on the back of the inverter that goes from the very back of the inverter, to the front of the inverter that is four of 8 wires that goes into the spark unit can you tell me what position the four on the back of the inverter going to the front where they are on the back of the inverter to please
I bought a brand new 2200i, 02/2023, would not start. it would turn over with starter fluid and continue to run if I continually sprayed it into carb. the bowl was filling with fuel so I knew the pump was working. Turned out that the emulsion tube was installed upside down from the factory!! once installed correctly, it started first pull. That was a tricky one to figure out.
Just wondering how many o-rings should be on the pilot jet? The replacement comes with 2. There looks like 2 slots on the jet for o-rings. Your video only shows one being replaced. I am working on this issue to correct a no idle condition that runs only on choke, or half choke. Thanks for your concise video.
Excellent video......good camera work....narrative is superb, really excellent. I might suggest that you slow the narrative down a little so that I have a little bit of time to process and understand what you are saying. I haven't seen any videos on this type of material that were better than this one.....really
I have cleaned the carb up and I got it started but it wont stay running all the time when I put a load on it, the gasket looks good in front of the carb? haven't cleaned the gas filter yet will do that and see if it needs it , the generator is only 5 years old and I try starting it a couple times a month year round because I need it in spring to run sump pumps , what do you recommend I do after cleaning the gas filter? change gaskets?
What a fantastic video explaining for rebuilding this carburetor. I have an EU 2200 that has a slight hiccup or miss. Any idea what that could be? It otherwise runs flawless
Quick question I’m wondering if this sounds familiar… I bought a used eu2000i…. Issue I’m having is that when I get to 1600 it wants to die out it kicks out and then tries to send power again… does it sound like a fuel issue

I really liked your video, and I subscribed as soon as I was done watching. The link for parts you posted is only for minor tune ups, what about links for part numbers for the float and needle valve "O" rings and related parts? I talked to two authorized Honda dealers and ordered oil/filter/spark plug/fuel filter/ & gaskets, but they claim you have to purchase the carborator and the internal parts are not available. Numbers please
the fuel valve is not working. I disconnected the wires to the ignition and closed the valve. The generator kept running no problem. So I guess mine is a dud
Question if anyone has a suggestion. Eu2000i runs smooth Eco ON/OFF, both, .. no load. Hair drier test load, ... Eco mode ON runs 3 levels 450/675/1200, smooth, no issues. ... Eco mode OFF, generator bogs, sputters, dies, on all levels. Culprit suggestions appreciated.
Try cleaning the carburetor idle bleed air screw (pilot jet - whatever it’s called) Very fine orifice, maybe .001”. Use a fine wire pricker. A light gauge high “E” guitar string will be correctly sized and should work.
Heh. Now I need to figure out how to take that whole red cowling off the thing so I can get at all this stuff. Edit: That was easy. ruclips.net/video/4YgCZSP97ao/видео.html

Great video!. Wished every tuber would learn from you. To the point and succinct without wasting minutes of dribble and useless information.
This the best Honda generator video I’ve seen on RUclips. Your definitely a New Yorker most likely Long Island wish I new you when I lived in Brooklyn.
Glad you enjoyed the video. I left the N.E. a lifetime ago...
This is an incredible resource that took time to record and produce. I for one thank you my man!!!

I try to stick to the subject..... I also watch RUclips videos and dont like all of the fluff added.
From Australia 🇦🇺 - you are a Champion ! Comprehensive and on point! Thankyou - I'd buy you a round of beers if I could ! Cheers 🍻
Thank you! Glad to help you get it running.
This is the only video that shows how to adjust idle speed. Thanks!
You’re welcome
Extremely informative, one of the best I have seen! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent, well done video..Thank you very much. Either the idle adjustment was missing or I overlooked it.
I really learned a lot from your video. Such an efficient and clear way to present info. A lot packed into this video. Thank you. Nice De Lorean

Great video! I have four of these at work that may need this treatment soon… Thanks Jordan!
Hey Dave, More to come soon in this series, once editing is done..

Glad to hear the video helped!

I took my brand new, 0 start Honda 2200i apart to clean the carb. I think mine was backwards as well, but the main jet did have crud in it.

This is great.
Learned a lot.
Now I go to work on it.
Thanks so much.

Best eu2k breakdown on youtube! Do you have any video or tips the metal fuel screw adjustments? Some of these eu run rough fresh out of the box.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. Very good information! Talented !
Glad it was helpful.
Great video, very easy to follow. Have you any idea what the second over flow on the top of the carb is for?
Thanks for a very informative video! Just what I needed!
Great video. Very detailed and explained nicely. Could you give us the parts #s for the carb rebuild, please?
I have cleaned the carb up and I got it started but it wont stay running all the time when I put a load on it, the gasket looks good in front of the carb? haven't cleaned the gas filter yet will do that and see if it needs it , the generator is only 5 years old and I try starting it a couple times a month year round because I need it in spring to run sump pumps , what do you recommend I do after cleaning the gas filter? change gaskets?
Thanks very much for that great video.
I really did enjoy it and learned several things I did not know about. 👍
I’m subscribed !
Thanks for the sub!
You make great videos. A little bit of everything i have around my house
As I fix it, I document it
Thanks awesome video , just a question what if i forgot to count those turns? Each carburetor has diferent adjustment?
The shop manual specified the default settings
What a fantastic video explaining for rebuilding this carburetor. I have an EU 2200 that has a slight hiccup or miss. Any idea what that could be? It otherwise runs flawless
Great video. No BS and get right to the point with everything.
I pride myself on no BS or extra filler.... I have enough to do to put quality content in other videos.

Thanks. That's what I'm looking for. There are lots of these online, but a link helps find one that is known to work.@@delorean1
Great video. Would suspect carburetor for 2200 same?
If not identical... close to it.
Amazing, you're very knowledgeable, great help. Thanks
Glad you found it helpful.
Outstanding video!
Thanks.
Question: my choke moves on its own, do you have a fix for this?
Thanks for breaking it all down
My 20 yo 2000i runs fine with "Small Engine Pro" additive. It cured the same problem.
No additive would cure the horrors I pulled out of this fuel system.

Mate the spring, does it need to be on or not? And where is its location?
Great video thank you
Glad it was helpful!
the fuel valve is not working. I disconnected the wires to the ignition and closed the valve. The generator kept running no problem. So I guess mine is a dud

"Echo" mode? I thought it is "eco" mode as in "economy".
What could you possibly think it meant?
Rem oil is not safe on o rings. Should use silicone spray instead.
Thumbs up
Thanks!
Yeah, that throttle spring, don't launch it. Finding it would be a pain.
I was careful, but it was already gone.
