Fun fact: Porcupine quills possess antibiotic properties. The antibiotic activity is associated with free fatty acids (but not neutral lipids) coating the quills. So even if you get jabbed by one, while it will be painful and an S.O.B to remove you won't have to worry about the wound(s) getting infected.

Exactly this. Pickle ice cream is a pretty common trope because pregnancy is know to create some really strange cravings.

I sometimes forgot english language can't just claim that some trademark words now is equal in meaning to other word and isn't someone propery, in other languages you can just use things like frisbee or guillette as a normal words even id adds with similiar product.
its entirely plausible that can change. Trampoline, Laundromat, even Dry Ice after looking it up, were all trademarks. Either abandoned for being made into a generic term they can lose the trademark.
Velcro is another example. They are called "hook and loop fasteners"

Episode connections:
Lady Rainicorn's baby bump can be seen, just as it was in "Five More Short Graybles". Her pregnancy was first revealed in "Lady & Peebles".
The way Finn screams when the porcupine jumps on him is the same way he screams in the episode "Burning Low".
Finn was interacting with the Snail, as seen when he waved back as he flew through the air. Finn had previously interacted with the snail in "The Lich".
At the same time, it is confirmed that Snail is no longer possessed by the Lich, as shown in "The Lich."
Cultural references:
The animals' chant, "In the tree, part of the tree," is a possible reference to the Pirates of the Caribbean series, in which the Flying Dutchman crew chant "Part of the crew, part of the ship."
When Finn eats a cursed apple to shrink him, it is reminiscent of the 'Drink Me' Potion from Alice in Wonderland and the Gravity Falls episode "Little Dipper". However, the latter was released at a similar time, and is unlikely to have any correlation with this episode.
Near the end of the episode, Jake is seen stirring a bowl of pickles and ice cream at Lady's house. This is likely a reference to the fact that women sometimes develop cravings for unusual foods during their pregnancies.

In the ending, Finn and the Squirrel are flying on a Frisbee when Finn waves to the Snail. Then in the next scene, Finn sees Jake in Lady's house and yells, "Hey, there's Jake. Jake!" and waves. This may be a reference to the film The NeverEnding Story. When Bastian is flying on Falkor he yells "Atreyu, Artax!" and waves to Atreyu who's riding his horse in the field.

Storyline analysis:
Finn never grows back to normal size in the episode, but in the next episode, "All the Little People", he is back to normal. This must mean the curse was temporary or that he found a cure somehow.

Errors:
When Jake and Lady Rainicorn left the area where they were having a picnic, they left the basket. However, in the next shot, when Finn is climbing the tree, it disappears, though it can be implied that one of them remembered the basket and got it while they were off-camera.
The size of the porcupine needles changed when Finn shrunk.
When the animals start chanting, the porcupine and a squirrel change places.
When Finn and the Squirrel jumped onto the disc, they did not spin with it, which could indicate the disc was not spinning. This is physically impossible for a throwing disc to fly without spinning.
Finn's hat appears to be bigger in some scenes.
In some parts when Finn gets shrunken, the needles seem to shrink with him.

Fun fact regular non flying squirrels in real life can fall really long distances and not be harmed, cause even though they don't have the skin flaps to glide they can still spread their body out to increase drag and basically work as their own parachute. Learned this from Mark Rober's video where he made a ninja warrior squirrel obstacle course in his back yard
Fun fact. They probably would've been fine even without the disk. Regular non-flying squirrels can theoretically handle any fall without serious injury. They are surprisingly light for their volume and they are also very fluffy which increases wind resistance, so their terminal velocity is actually pretty low. That saying about cats always landing on their feet is actually far more accurate for squirrels

Well I remember when it aired on this channel called Cartoon Network back in the old days, ah those were the times, I remember vividly that there was this talking yellow dog called Jake and his human friend named Finn and they went on several adventures like fighting an Ice Wizard King and his horde of penguins or climb a tree.

I remember when this episode first came out, cartoon Network WOULD NOT STOP showing the trailer, or commercials that included clips from the episode. When it finally aired, they'd show this one episode on repeat for weeeeeks! It was somewhat annoying. My young little uncultured mind had no idea of any underlying themes going on.

Thins episode reminded me that those good intentions often have ulterior motives, I've been around friends so much I forgot it.
I wanna see Nuxs reaction to the My Babysitter's A Vampire lore. Only a true KING could understand the weird and confusing lore of that movie/TV show. The pilot is "My Babysitter's a Vampire: The Movie" followed by 2 seasons of clowning on the series' Twilight and Supernatural.
I dont really like this episode, but the power of Nuxanor compels me!!

IDK much about adventure time, was more of my little sisters era, think around the time this show was airing I was playing runescape or halo. so watching it with you has been wild, the park scene is so sweet(im only 10 min in may have to edit this :P), and it completely makes sense to me that lady rainicorn would be okay with fin joining them, they talk about "throw and catch" as if its the remnants of the "mans best friend" advertising/trope from before the war. They could very likely think it, and or even going to the park overall important like the fairy tales, especially to her kids who would be half dog. Only natural to take an interest in something that will be a big part of your kids life.

Squirrels can actually survive falling from terminal velocity, and Finn was riding on the squirrels back, so even if they hit the ground they would probably have been fine.

This episode wasn't really one of my favorites when I saw it for the first time but I did like it and when I was watching Fiona and cake it was a big surprise that the squirrel guy and the tree gang as I called them appeared so now I have a lot more appreciation to this episode than I did back then
