Okay, so here's the explanation with no spoilers. The war that made everything messed up was between a number of countries. In the last few days, one side had developed something called a mutagenic bomb with the (unknown to them) essence of the Lich in it, the Lich was already on the planet from something in later seasons. It mutated almost everyone, caused the whole collapse, and the Lich was released to be beaten by Billy. In this timeline, the bomb never went off, Simon actually stopped it and died, but the whole world was frozen for a period of time as well. So the Lich wasn't released.

Yeah but it wasn’t actually the lich yet before the bomb went off. That’s reason that the wish didn’t wipe out the green comet essence in the bomb out like it did with the lich. The lich came into existence the moment the bomb went off.

I think it was hypothesized that the Lich was once a general or some sort of officer in the war. Might be totally wrong about that or maybe it was just someone's theory
What I find most amazing about these Farm World episodes is the fact that Finn and Jake became their main antagonists from the first seasons, Finn became the Ice King and Jake became the lich

When prismo said the litch was a ghost wearing a dead guy is the moment u realize how dark this show can get. The Lich was able to exist because Finn wished that it never existed, not that it will never exist. As Prismo said, gotta be specific.
Idk he wished it “never, even ever existed” which linguistically means the lich should never exist ever. So it shouldn’t exist at any point in the past or future.

I'm not sure if you guys noticed, heck, it took me a longtime time to figure it out, but the way Shelby was positioned on the statue in the "Grayble" episode made it look like the statue with flipping people off, that's what Tree Trunks was freaking out about.

At last, you finally met Prismo. Easily one of my favorite characters in the series. I love how he and Jake are just chilling out in a hot tub shooting the breeze while Finn's going insane, turning his alternate reality into frozen nightmarescape. This premiere was wild.
One of the most important characters ever
"Hey Jake, you see that? Monkey's Paw." might be my favorite Adventure Time line.
Its so badass, bros casually mess with space time
The Litch was born from someone being affected by the Nuke, so what Finn's wish did was stop the Nuke. Therefore the Litch was not born, but because Jake went into Nuclear waste, the Litch was born with Jake's body.
The Mushroom War happened 1000 years ago, the mushroom bomb that created the Lich was dropped during that war
In Farmworld, the reality created through Finn's wish of the Lich never even ever existing, the war still happened 1000 years ago, no time travel, Simon just stopped the bomb that would've created the Lich from going off all those 1000 years ago (except when he died crushed beneath the frozen bomb his crown caused an apocalypse anyway, just a frozen one that lasted for 400 years rather than the irradiated wasteland one the bomb caused in the original timeline of Ooo, hence why Ooo has all sorts of mutant and/or magic people while Farmworld seems relatively free of magic and weird creatures)
Also the reason why Marceline became an old woman in the Farmworld universe but not in the original Ooo timeline is that she never became a vampire in Farmworld, she's born a half-demon, but in the original Ooo timeline eventually got bitten by a vampire (hence the two red dots on her neck) and that's what kept her from aging, she's still around 1000 years old in both worlds
One thing I love about Prismo the Wishmaker
Is that unlike any other Wish Making beings like Genies or Fairies that will just grant your wish with probably a downside whether they realise it or not
Prismo is actually careful for others wishes making sure they know what they're wishing for
Also technically telling him what to wish for is Illegal so that's why he wasn't telling Jake the entire wish to make at once
Also he will come back in next episodes and everytime he appears he's just the best Homie
He only did it for Jake tho

Squirrels can survive some pretty crazy falls due to their size. He might not have been harmed even if it just landed normally.
I think it's interesting to remember that the lich never had his own physical body. He's the force of death given consciousness and every body, including the one we see originally, is a body he possesses. His first body was likely the closest person to the impact zone, probably a random commuter waiting for the subway. Really dark when you think about it😂😂😂
Interesting how I Remember You gives the first tiny glimpse into Simon and Marcy's relationship, then it comes up again (well, an alternate wish altered universe's equivalent) so soon after. Like, The Lich, Finn the Human, and Jake the Dog are essentially a three part episode that happened to be separated by a couple weeks at premiere, that's nuts how quick they followed up on that thread even a little.
I do hear people often say the beggining of this season is a 2 part, when it's actually a 3 part, bcause the whole deal with the lich is set on the final episode of previous season. And those episodes even have matching intro cards. "The lich > Finn the human > Jake the dog"
Also, this batch of episodes kinda hit different after fionna and cake.

I remember watching the Finn the Human cliffhanger back when the episode realesed and its the best cliffhanger in adventure Time ever imo. Founding out that the adventure time world is post apocalyptic is still one of the craziest things ever. I legitimately remember that being the headcannon of 99% of the fans until that point, it's so cool that actually happened.
Finn and jake weren’t born during the Great War that made earth OOO they were born many years later after the war by then talking dogs and rainicorns were already a norm

I love "Jake the Dog", we have the disturbing and dark story of Farmworld Finn seeing the born of the Lich and going crazy because of the crown while Jake is just chilling and chatting with Prismo.

It will always remain amazing to me that this show explained and explored the in universe lore and timelines within an alternate universe storyline. How many shows have done something like that.

2. When Shelby was reading, he was sitting on the middle finger of the statue's fist. It was only heavily implied due to censors.

So abt the timeline. I feel it was explained pretty clearly in the show, but many reactors stumble on these eps for some reason. Finn's wish was for the Lich to never exist. So that universe is our OOO in modern time if the Lich didn't exist. We heard from old Marceline that in alternate OOO the mutagenic bomb didn't explode a 1000 years ago and thus the Lich wasn't released, but OOO also didn't become magical. Or rather as magical. This tracks with our OOO, where in s1ep12 Marceline said she's a 1000 years old (she repeated it multiple times since) and she was little when the apocalypse happened. Thus in our OOO Finn and Jake r exactly as they r supposed to be. And in alternative OOO they r as they would be if not for the apocalypse and the Lich. What's interesting is that Lich did end up existing in alternative OOO, as Finn exploded the bomb. Whether it is because of the "Monkey's paw" rule or due to Lich being too powerful of an entity is up to debate. Though I always thought it's the 2nd option.

I don't remember watching this episodes of Adventure Time, I watched it a little. Anyway, I heard of the trailer that you never heard of. It's called "Migration" which is the animated movie about a ducks, it was made by Illumination of Universal Pictures, and it makes my heartbeat fast.

It's not that complicated, this is another timeline where the bomb never exploded, in other words magic never existed, in the original timeline Jake was born magic, he was never a normal dog and Finn never has a nose.
Jake might not be immortal entity, but he's definitely the most chill dude to ever live. Spent like half an hour with celestial entity and Prismo immediately bolded so much he [SPOILERS] got depressed after his death

Prismo is one of my favorite characters and the whole wishing of new realities comes in play remember that. Seeing what ooo looks like without magic and certain characters was cool but this told the audience how the Lich was released into ooo during the mushroom war with the dropping of the mutagenic bomb. The Lich of the new reality using this version Jake’s body was freaky. The destiny gang were trash.
I hope the next adventure time upload includes ep 5x11 I’m so excited for it
