Here's a little fan theory from back in the day - Jake Juniors face is so... well messed up compared to her siblings because Ricardio kneed lady in the stomach when she was pregnant.
That's messed up 😢😢
Oh shit
This should have been best kept secret.
it was debunked tho, Jr's face is like that cause of Jake's alien half, its the same mouth as the blue alien
Wouldn't it be more messed up if it was Jake sticking his thumb into the belly like Jack Horner?
Lemongrab socking the rat in the mouth and eating the Apple Pie from it is one of my favorite moments in Adventure Time! His "Acceptable" just makes it even better.
That rat scene disturbed me so much as a kid😂cuz i hated rats
i love how none of them commented on BMO dancing on Finn with his controller in Finn's mouth. They just accepted it
😂
boom probably wants to say something but was just left speechless xD
Yeah most ppl ive seen are disgusted with that scene😂
Is it supposed to be looked at *that* way?
@@yellow_flash813 nah theyre just goofing around but at first sight it looks weird
Let's be honest, if we were given miniature versions of everyone we knew, most of us would do what Finn did eventually. The whole episode is a pretty interesting psychological case study for Finn, and trust me, the things his mind is capable of only get creepier.
Also, I really love "Jake the Dad." It's adorable seeing Jake be a parent, and it's a good lesson about overprotective parenting. Also, pretty crazy how rapidly Rainicorn children grow up.
Got that right.
Both rainicorns and dogs age rapidly
It's a good case study on toying with people's feelings
And also a meta commentary on the writers and characters, shipping, etc.
Only if you dont have a girlfriend
yeah DEFINITELY don’t watch the new fiona and cake series
until you’ve finished adventure time or you’ll be HELLA confused cause of lots of new characters and lore sprinkled in throughout each and every one of the seasons going forward
Release order all the way except for the option of flipping the last two Distant Lands
Yeah thank God they didn't fuck it up and watched fionna and cake out of order💀we would've been pissed
not to mention the pretty major thing that happens in the finale episode of this that's relevant to distant lands
Bro, the Fionna and cake show is literally a continuation of the series, ofc they need to watch this first
Fiona and Cake is a direct continuation of this show. If you watch it too early it will spoil up to to the last episode of season 10. After season 10 you should watch the Distant Lands specials and then Fiona and Cake.
I read a comment somewhere that theorized that Finn needs to be busy with adventures all the time becuause when he is not, his intrusive thoughts win and he starts doing sh*t like that of All the Little People
Spoilers for Fionna and Cake:
"Fionna and Cake" kinda proves it by showing how Finn desperately uses adventures as a way to cope with his stress after loosing Jake, to the point of being delusiinal and clueless
Honestly I'd be just like Jake if I was a parent at least until they were a few months old. I've literally freaked out about my puppy not breathing while he was sleeping when I first brought him home.
I love how adventure time executed bringing in the kids, and avoids annoying cliches while also addressing the weird situation that Jake has to deal with being a father of magic puppies that aged so quickly, he didn't get to experience the initial stages of fatherhood.
- “All the Little People” while it through Finn seems to represent fandom like using “Shipping”, but also the little people do interact in interesting ways (very much like in The Sims) like how Gunter seems to notice Finn’s hand
- Magic Man's incantation "Do what thou swill be the whole piece of log" which is a reference to the phrase "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law" by early 20th-century occultist Aleister Crowley
- The sword that Jake is holding while sleeping is similar to the ones used on stage as the band GWAR & the book “Baby Eating Foxes & the Babies” seem to be based on the Grimm’e fairy tail called the “The Wolf & the Seven Kids” while “Mom’s Manual Knows Best” is a play on the phrase Father Knows Best
- Finn's backwards shirt “Best Unkle” writing is a reference to the character I.R. Baboon from the cartoon “I Am Weasel”
- At the end of the episode the pups say "수학 !” which means "Mathematical !"
- Finn … I mean Davey Johnson is voiced by interestingly the real life Davey Johnson who also voices Xergiok
- When Davey walks to the dead-end in the bad part of the Candy Kingdom you can see ".- - 4EVER" on the wall which means "AT 4EVER" & another one says, ".-.-" means "?" both in Morse Code
- In the “Mystery Dungeon” title you can see Finn (on the left) & Jake (on the right) hidden in the hieroglyphics which speaking of you can also see The Eye of Horus appear in the computer mainframe along with a man with a sword in his abdomen, a hand grabbing a key, & an hourglass
- “Mystery Dungeon” is said to be inspired by the Cube film series which is about a group of people who wake up in a maze with each room having a trap from Jesse Moynihan, but it could be also inspired by the episode from Star Trek: The Next Generation called Allegiance
- Lemongrab opening his mouth wide is not only quite an image but also similarly to Jennifer in “Jennifer’s Body”
I mean there is a little bit of a difference, shipping fictional characters although often, especially at that time, would get out of control is mostly fine, shipping real people on the other hand always has been exceptionally creepier, there is some element of social coercion when done by a group of people that they managed to represent with Finn well enough be it intentionally or not
Shelby was such a savage in this episode, I loved it! XD
According to some theories, they mature fast because of their hybrid genetics. Lady Rainicorn can age rapidly, and so does Jake the Dog. In the episode “Jake the Dad,” in a span of two days, Lady and Jake's puppies grew from newborns to young adults.
When I was younger I was never a really big fan of the Davey episode, but the one thing I did love to see is the callback of Finn using the small computer he swallowed to change his voice.
Finn with the little people was a weird Finn coming of age episode
It foreshadowes his worse tendencies and what he eventually does in Frost and Fire.
Finn with little people is him creating his own harem
10:00 well, no, nursery rhymes are meant to be teaching tools. You can't tell a child the details of why going near someone with certain symptoms is dangerous, but nursery rhymes can be used to give instructions in a way that a child can understand. Although, it's not just for the dangerous things. For instance, rhymes like "red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Red sky in morning, shepherd's warning" are about typical phenomena a person will experience through their life and help them remember information when it's relevant.
Love how you were talking about seeing Jake's kid's and it was literally right around the corner! XD
The thumbnail is nightmare fuel
“Who in this world is sadder than the Ice King?”
I love the portrayal of split personality that happens in the Davey episode. It’s actually fairly accurate
Little people is always quite the episode 😂😂 one of my favorites
All the little people as an episode is burned into my head, puberty really hit finn like a truck at least in the brain side of things
0:03 OMGO MGO MGOMG TESSSY ESS
show meeee starting with the Jake-Simon jam sess
2:10 ...part of me wants to see those two though
Waitin for those reactions to Jake Jr. aaa
17:43 I was gonna say
He gets so immersed
(...the pillows)
22:39 wait that sounds familiar
(I love this dungeon. Lemongrab's punch and just...he's so functional? I love it
30:47 the ones who finished :) and saw the finale
9:43 I used to watch Kindergarten Cop as a kid. Rewatching it as an adult, I gotta say my Grandma was wild for letting me see it. I’m surprised I never realized some of the stuff that was said or implied throughout the movie 😅
7:40 the way he just picks up beemo xD
Btw im starting to feel Finn a little older, more mature already, might be Jeremys voice changing
Jeremy's voice does change once he gets older
I just noticed finn solves the little people issue by telling all the little people hes not coming back, which is what magic man said at the beginning when he handed it to him. Another stupid lesson in jerkitude, this one is, never be afraid to abandon things
30:00 I dont know where u guys are at rn but there is actually a story on the whole show as you guys are noticing and would be the best if the whole Adventure Time is watched before Fionna and Cake watching. So you can actually understand and so on
Episode 5 and 6 must have happened at the same time since in episode 5 Jake stayed Sixteen weeks away, he was probably taking care of his kids as shown in episode 6.
Nah pretty sure Jake the Dad happened in 2 days, those 16 weeks aint related
doesn't finn do different things at home while waiting for jake in ep 6?
Also there is Adventure Time: Distand Lands too!!! 👏👏
The legendary solo Hman promo, a momentous day
Damn Finn called Marceline a C lister
How dare he
Loved the reaction as always! I want to share some shows you guys definitely need to check out!!
Green Lantern: The Animated Series
The Batman(2004) (people say this might be the same Batman from the Teen Titans show!)
Transformers Prime
I recommend all of the them obviously but I would personally start with Green Lantern: The Animated Series because it's shorter and I just think it's EXTREMELY underrated.
i thought jake the dad was just a dream episode at first
this is a lot darker than i remember is very meta
Kristan Schaals voice is so recognizable
Mystery dungeon is essentially an escape room episode
LMAOOO THE OPENING WITH MAGIC MAN
Though they get their episodes, I think almost everyone was disappointed how brushed to the side Jake's pups got. Like the show must go on, sure, but one of our main characters HAD CHILDREN for Glob's sake. You could show a bit more commitment narratively.
17:04 *SHEEP XDXDXD*
Ah... All the Little People, AKA Finn plays the Sims and gets *too* into it.
I love Mystery Dungeon, fun episode with interesting character interactions. God though, Lemongrab...
Lemongrab punched the shit out of that mouse ☠️
Well, I'm not sleeping tonight after that classic thumbnails.
these are great! I really feel like the show ramps up from here on out in basically every way. there's gonna be some odd episodes here and there but the good outweigh the bad easily. on the discussion at the end, it's best to watch all of the original AT, then AT: distant lands (in episode 1, 2, 4, 3 order) and then Fionna and Cake, so the order of release! any other way would be a really odd hot take
24:00 instant change 🤣
Oh hey the little people episode I completely forgot about this one lol
4:35
It does feel like Finn's mind was taken over by an overweight middle-aged withdrawn Japanese man in this episode. (And it won't be the last time)
no one:
Finn: *"I T ' S* -ADVENTURE- *N T R T I M E"*
17:04 *OVEJA XDXDXD*
Came to youtube thinking, humm...🤔🤔 time for Adventure Time Sorta Stupid reaction innit?? 😁😁😆😆🙌🥰
28:28 hes just so 😂😭😭😂
Squirrels don't have fall damaged, this isn't a joke :D
27:10 omg simooon! 😭😭🤣
I feel like the main thing people should of told these guys is that the show is designed to age with it's audience.
The story progressively grows, the VAs age through puberty, more areas and history gets covered... there's plenty of clues in season 1 and 2 but yeah there is a story, its just told long
Shelby's the real ice king cos that was cold.
If I remember correctly magic man never shows up again after he says he won’t be back
There is a definitive chronological order to Adventure Time and its spin-offs/sequels which goes: Adventure Time -> Distant Lands Specials -> Fionna and Cake
If you guys don't at LEAST finish Adventure Time before moving onto Fionna and Cake, you will not only miss some things, but you will also get majorly spoiled for the Adventure Time finale
I went into Fionna and Cake only having missed the last of the Distant Lands Specials and I still ended up missing some context because of it, so I definitely recommend finishing Adventure Time first, then watching the Distant Lands Specials (BMO, Obsidian, Together Again and Wizard City) and only then moving onto Fionna and Cake
Fionna is canon now recently, guys, there's a tv show about her
for the discusion at the end, we are all just dirty liars and were trying to get you off the trail.
yea definitely dont watch fiona and cake til you finish adventure time and the distant land specials. adventure time is mostly made up of small stories with just a handful of major overarching ones, but the progression of time is definitely recognized within the show. the world doesnt reset after each episode and things that happen may appear again later, so skipping ahead will definitely spoil things and leave you very confused.
I've never noticed this but the reason lady was making out with cupcake man was because of what Jake said in the beginning of the episode. So that's why when little Jake found the affair lady tried to defend herself by arguing with Jake
4:30 😂😂😂
Yes, please wait until you finish this series this series before you watch Fiona and Cake. There are a lot of spoilers in Fiona and Cake
8:30 babies will actually do that shit, some parents get ptsd from it
Hear me out, but Lemongrab is my favorite
Nice, I'm hoping the last of regular show season 3 will be posted soon.
Lemongrab i dont even know what to say im just so something by him disgusted or angerd or whatever
the puppies never team up like that ever again and that frustrates me
You guys will be surprised if you see what they can do in the near future😂 09:12
All the little people traumatized me as a kid ngl
Kristen Schaal, national treasure.
"all the little people" its just, The Sims: the episode
I forgot about the time finn played god with mini people
Man, whoever said to u guys AT doesn't have a big story is so wrong. Every AT episode is important to the plot, because it either advances some storyline, introduces a new 1, explores some of the characters or explores the world and its philosophy. U can't skip any episode. Speaking of story, these episodes were great for Finn and Jake's characters. In s5ep5 we saw just how neglegible Finn can be of other people's emotions and feelings when he doesn't realise he does harm. Which is honestly scary, because his "profession" is being a hero, so he's a last hope of a lot of people. I think it's mostly his immaturity that makes him do those things, and so far he's been able to fix his every mistake, but how long can it last?.. And in s5ep7 we see that Finn actually wants to live a normal life deep down inside, yet his identity and sense of self is tied to his adventuring life. It's a beautiful metaphor for how we can lose ourselves in our secret desires. And s5ep6 was a beautiful exploration of Jake's sense of responsibility.
10:32 sound like she said get the fuck out of here
You guys absolutely need to finish the Adventure Time main show before Fiona and Cake. There’s is definitely tons of continuity that’s in this show that will be carried over to Fiona and cake. It’ll make zero sense if you don’t finish the main show S well as the spin offs before Fiona and cake. Love you guys’ reactions
Who ever said there wasn't much story absulutly lied to you.
Oh my the thumbnail
oh no yeah you guys ABSOLUTELY NEED to finish adventure time before watching fiona and cake. SERIOUSLY
I need frozen 2 👽
Ah, the episode where Finn becomes a toxic shipper.
Do not watch Fiona and Cake befor finishing this series because you will not only be confused and not understand the references it makes but you'll also witness huge spoilers
first one, here loving your videos from Brazil 🥰
Not a good idea to watch Fiona and Cake before finishing Adventure Time
Tv is my favorite
Please, DO NOT watch Fionna and Cake until you've finished this one and Distant Lands
Lol don’t remember the last episode also u gotta fhinsh this show before finnona and cake and there is an over arching story but it sorta feels out of no where and the ending to me was not super satisfying finnina and cakes ending made more sense and felt good where as this one was like what was the point of that? If that makes sense idk it’s been a while for me but also the random ship at the end through me off
Fionna and cake has spoilers for end of adventure time
Yeah no. You guys NEED to finish Adventure Time BEFORE you watch Fionna and Cake. Cause if you go into Fionna and Cake without having watched all of Adventure Time, you're gonna be very confused.
Fionna and Cake is one of those spin-off series where you need to have watched the previous show to understand most of what's going on.
hi
You guys should watch meatcanyon
🇵🇸💚💚💚🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
Hman
That’s not totally true about babies and children. Their brain is a sponge from 12 and they don’t develop until they’re 25 so you’re brain is a child still I can tell if trauma experiences are not fun when you’re a child, my family watch, horror, movies, and walking dead in front of me and I turned out really messed up and have schizophrenia so I can say from life experience that’s not good to trauma child especially when they’re young very young when their brain is still a sponge.
you were thinking off watching fionna and cake before finishing adventure time!?!? absolutley do not do that. fionna and cake has spoilers for the adventure time finale and for distant lands
VIOLA
There is a story you just haven't really gotten into the story yet
:D
Are you guys gonna watch the Sonic Fan Film “Project Shadow” it’s about shadow’s origin story. It’s really good
