My first experience with the show was kinda bad, just watching bits and being confused about cut off story but after i looked up an episode guide i binged the whole show and can say that Adventure time is probably one of the best shows in terms of planned out plot that i have ever seen. it is insane how many things connect and the plot twists on plot twists make it pretty great to see play out.

I think the reason Finn exists in farm world is because a some random person reincarnated as him instead of the catalyst comet. It crashing originally made the spirit that released eventually reincarnate multiple times, and randomly became Finn at one point, but when it missed it's just a regular soul instead
also there was a theory it was much more dark then the litch just possessing billy like it was clear in the imaging that they straight up killed billy and we've seen what it looks like when the litch controls someone they have black and green eyes and even if they couldn't speak before they gain the ability to but with a sinister voice but that didn't happen to billy so what was thought to happen was the litch killed him skinned his corpse then wore is like a suit and it only showed the litch under him when he was attacked by someone who could sense the litch inside of him

my opinion on adventure time is really fluctuating the more older i get, i like pretty much all of it when i was young but now reflecting on it i only like the first 3 seasons because it felt like a diet 'xavier renegade angels' with the whacky stories, then the rest of the show kinda fall off imo because it took the "leave no stone unturned" mentality of story telling that just such a whiplash of difference compared to the first three seasons, i was so glad it ended with the 10th season but then when the 'distant lands' mini-series was released i was irrationally upset at the franchise because really they just can't finished what they started by just stretching the story thin even when its clear they're creatively bankrupt, took me so long to just finish that mini-series, i was that upset but then the 'fiona and cake' spin-off got announced and released, at that point i can't be bothered to be upset, just disappointed that they still can't let things go with this franchise, i just watched two episodes of this spin-off and i must say i'm surprised they went with a much more mature rating compared with 'distant lands' but i'm not holding my breath for the rest of the spin-off i would give the first 3 seasons of adventure time a 8/10 rating, but the rest of the show makes it more of a 6/10, distand lands was like a 4 or 5/10 imo, and the fiona and cake spinoff so far is a 5 or 6/10 anyway nice reaction dudes
