After hazbin hotel, i would also watch helluva boss here on youtube. It takes place in the same universe, made by the same creator and studio (prepare for angst and laughter). We are all hoping that there will, eventually, be a crossover episode.
True, it is basically only about 2% canon, but does set up what the (initial) premise is all about. G would still recommend watching it, but be prepared for lots of changes.

My family were pretty lax with age ratings, I was playing Conkers Bad Fur Day on N64 around the same time for example, it was one of my families favourite games ngl.
While I agree that it would entice kids more to say they can't watch it, my family basically couldn't give a shi about age ratings, and I was allowed to watch/play whatever I wanted from around 6 or 7 years old, I was still enticed by things "above my age range," despite being allowed to consume that media.

Favorite Character by far is Lucifer. His duet with Charlie hit the feelings. He is such a relatable Character. As someone with depression and anxiety myself i could feel Lucifer like no other character in the show. His anxiety shows each time when heaven is topic of the conversation. The wheezing and the feeling of being unable to breath indicates an incoming panic attack. An i gotta say the show really showed it well ho much his banishment influenced him. That despite all that he tried to create a good place. But he isolated hmself because in Hell he was forced to see only the worst of Humaninty, and the gift he presented them with. So he locked himself up in his workshop and did the only thing that brought him a little bit of joy... creating toys. I find the circus theme quite fitting since a circus brings joy to people and sparks their dreams. It shows how much of a dreamer he was. Also the fact that he gets under Alastor's skin is pure gold...

The show doesn't properly cover this part, but Sinner-rank Demons (folks that were once human) that are killed by means other than angelic weapons will simply respawn after certain period of time, though the process of coming back from double death is extremely painful. Angel weapons are perma-death though. Come to think of it that might also be why the folks of Cannibal Town are accepted in the first place. Everyone they eat comes back in due time, so they basically developed an infinite food glitch with no repercussions apart from ruffling the feathers of their brief victims.
There is a parallel series called Helluva Boss on the creator's (Vivziepop) channel that takes place in the same universe (or Hellaverse). Even better is that due to her love for reaction channels and her fans, Vivziepop allows reactors on RUclips to post any of the videos from her channel unedited and uncut on their reactions. So unlike Hazbin Hotel which is owned by Prime and A24, Helluva Boss is still owned exclusively by Vivenne and her company Spindelhorse. So no need need to edit when you react to it.

Important thing to keep in-mind is this show takes place in ONE of the 7 layers of Hell, and is the only spot with Sinners. The rest of Hell is filled with Hellborn like Charlie, but the Pride Ring (the show) also has them here and there, and Sinners can't be permanently killed unless by an Angel
Something I don't see many people point out about the second episode is how unintentionally TERRIBLE Charlie is by having Angel (a drug addict who they're trying to help quit) play the drug dealer in that little sketch with Pentious. Like... that's actually insanely insensitive and does a great job of showing how incredibly naive and oblivious she is to what it actually means to help people improve.

There are a few things to note about how Hell works in this universe. Firstly there are two major types of demons. The first are Sinners, who are humans who have been damned to Hell after death. When they arrive in Hell they gain a demonic form that usually reflects how they died and is designed to make them hate how they look. Alastor is a notable example, seeing how his demon form is that of a deer, referencing how he died in a deer hunting related accident. Sinners cannot reproduce, are confined to the Pride Ring of Hell and are biologically immortal. The only way they can be killed is through the use of blessed weapons, which angels use during the Extermination, explaining why Hell is so overcrowded. The second type of Demons are Hellborn, which are exactly what they sound like. These are demons that were born in Hell. They vary a lot depending on how high up the hierarchy they are, but the lower classes are able to be killed with regular weaponry, whilst royals need the blessed weapons described before. Charlie is the only Hellborn in the main cast of Hazbin, but the sister series, Helluva Boss focuses a lot more on how the lower and upper classes of Hellborn live in this world. The Hierarchy of Hell basically works like this, from highest to lowest: 1. Lucifer. A fallen Angel. The King of Hell and the Sin of Pride. 2. Lilith. The First Woman and Lucifer’s wife. The Queen of Hell 3. Charlie Morningstar. Their daughter. A smol bean. 4. The remaining Six Members of The Seven Deadly Sins. Asmodeus. Satan. Leviathan. Mammon. Beelzebub. Belphegor. I’ve met almost all of the main cast at comic cons and all of them are such nice people. Erika is literally just real life Charlie and Alex (Adam and Pentious) is super funny. To quote him “All I do for the Adam voice is become more of a douche, and that’s it!”

I don't see any issue with kids watching shows with dark jokes in humor and guns and all that jazz to be honest, I mean I don't expect 13 year olds or older to be watching cocomelon until they turn 18 but to each their own
