This performance should be everyone's introduction to AC/DC; This is pure Rock and Roll!
Just thinking the same. Great live sound in this one just like '70's at Colston hall Bristol where I saw them
Was ok!
Nobody asked for a refund that night.
This should be everyone's introduction to rock n roll full stop!
Hardcore!
Angus is a guitar monster man, the man could fall down a mountain and never miss a riff
just imaining that haha
Angus could probably go skydiving and play TNT.
These new guys riff in one spot trying to look sexy and then I watch Angus and he’s like - hold my beer ! These mofo’s are losing shirts there so hard !
👌
Same with Malcom the metronome
When they invent a Time Machine…
I’m going to THAT GIG.

Хорошая мысль!
I was there and it was amazing
This show, this rendition was perfection. That night, the stars aligned. Angus was in the ZONE. These guys are rock.
Angus has never been out of the zone, nor Malcolm for that matter.
Yep the best!
Have you seen them do Whole lotta rosie on the same night?
What an incredible gig that must have been, with about 500 people watching.

Nowhere to hide. No pyrotechnics, no light show, no video screens. Just a bare stage and 5 guys up there. As good as it gets.
Something so special about no theatrics, and just the band delivering the song. Absolutely love it.
I think when you overtake the 20000 people mark it's hard to make everyone able to see you well enough without a screen. And a bit of show is not bad at all IMO. But this clearly shows it's not necessary in order to convey the song.
And no backing tracks , auto tune etc
Yeah I was lucky enough to see them in the ol’ days I guess…it actually took me a while to like them again afternoon died…sorry how do you top Bon ??? But to be honest after a couple o’months Brian hit me ! And so it goes….Best Rock and Roll band EVER !!!!! AC⚡️DC 🎸🎶❤️
Yep
Bon Scott....the best hard rock singer ever!

I guess Robert Plant, Freddy Mercury, Ian Gillan, Axl Rose, and others could easily argue that
+ThePsychedelicCinema

Bon is perfect for this type of rock and roll. Freddy wouldn't fit with the sleazy tone. Just like Bon wouldn't fit with the more elegant and operatic tone of Queen.
Angus has the stage presence no other guitarist has
Моторик!
This band was tighter then Bons jeans! Best band I've ever seen live ever!
Now that's tight!!!
Bon Scott died 41 years ago today and watching this brings back so many memories. The man had so much presence when he walked out on stage. Great days indeed.
Bon Rock Scott
So true👌
he was the best....no one like him...what a tragedy....
Thinking about the moment i heard still stopps me in my tracks every single goddamn time.
Him and Paul Stanley are my Kings of Rock n Roll
Angus is getting all the camera time, but back there behind him is the greatest rhythm guitar player ever. RIP Malcolm \m/
Don't forget the drummer an bass player killin it too !!!✌

35 years without Bon, he was a fucking legend!
+Heitor Brentan is
+Heitor Brentan Easily a legend. What makes Bon awesome wasn't him hitting this note or singing in these octaves, what made him special is he "just had something"...and great art can NOT be defined. Bon left some amazing work and Brian did a nice job taking that spot, but man we can only speculate just how big an icon Bon would have become....he was so awesome because when you watched him sing you immediately got the sense, "yea....this cat belongs on the planet doing exactly what he's doing"....Bon's voice rules forever.
But Brian is also a legend
+Ramona Kienbacher Shit he is not even a drop of sweat off Ronald Bonn Scott rest rip (rocking in hell)

Hello ACDC fans, I'm from Australia 🇦🇺 and I have a story you might enjoy. It was the early days when the boys were just starting to break ground in the Australian music scene, even at that early stage the band was well known by young people such as myself (back in the day) one day a bunch of us (girls and guys) were in a pub in Katoomba, NSW (all underage) anyway a bus pulls up and out jump the band & road and rock into the pub for a beer, needless to say we were all stoked. They were on their way to preform a concert in a town named Bathurst, by the time they got to Bathurst the mayor had banned them from playing because he thought they were a bad influence on the kids. I'm 64 yrs old now and its something I've and will never forget.
Minha primeira cassete..dada por um amigo que a encontrou tirada numa obra de construção civil... deu-me porque sabia que eu gostava deles... era ACDC ao vivo..blood

"a bad influence on the kids"
Wot, and talks of thermonuclear war, plagues, corrupt leadership, piss for schools ain't bad influence enough?
We need more o' the original rattle & hum from Angus, Bon, Malcom. Maybe then we'll all just head bang in peace, "all in the name o' Liberty!"
Only 50 here but, damn it, grew up on Aca Daca in the States. Do believe Bonn knew once he came in that they were destined to be exactly what they are today, the world's greatest band.

I saw Gogol Bordello when they opened for Primus a few years back. I'm a fan now!
They’re rock solid, along with Malcom of course. Can’t recall any of them noticeably missing a single beat or note in any of their filmed performances, and I’ve probably watched every one available to the public at least 10 times over lol. Sure what they play is relatively simple as far as technicality goes but not many bands have a groove as incredible as AC/DC’s one.
45 years later and this song still knocks me on my ass every time, raw ass-kicking rock and roll, absolutely amazing!!!
One of the best of all time!
Absolutely amazing! My favorite band is Rammstein, but AC/DC cannot compare! Angus Young’s guitar prowess is unmatched and will continue to be so! I had to listen to this three times as it was so “f’n” amazing!
Just watched this video for the 652nd time.
PURE ROCK AND ROLL.
AC/DC at their absolute PEAK, in my opinion.
There was never anything like this before it, and there will never be anything like it ever again.

Malcolm was the DC

Is that why Flash is Flash? I dont see him even reachin Angus Ankles by the way media brings him up. I said it before ill say it again. Theres only one guitarist that had Angus Youngs Enenergy. Sadly, not anymore. He can still do his famous duck walk, but he can't stand on top of an amp thats about half his size and jump down. All while headbanging as hard as he can and getting really dizzy and not falling off.

I was there at the Apollo back in 78... did not realise just quite how lucky I was then.....still as fresh today as it was then,... a soundtrack for my life!
Bon Scott is, in my humble opinion, perhaps the better of the two great front men to have lead AC/DC, but there’s no denying that Angus Young’s riffs are the powerhouse that drive the band. A true legend!
I would have to disagree. It's actually Malcolm's rhythm playing that serves as the driving force that Angus is propelled from.
Bon is up there with the Greats
No doubt that Bon Scott is the greatest frontman from the band, however Brian is also fantastic.
@@williamlamb43 There is a little bit of truth and fantasies in what you say, no doubt that Malcolm leaded the band rhythm behind the courtain and eyes of the spectators, but what the post originally make reference to, is that Angus is the soul of the band rhythm and show all together, and in this song, he made that two minutes apotheosic ending in which one Malcolm don't even touch his guitar. That is just one example, but in many AC/DC song, happens the same, Angus is the pilar of the band!
Kind of a no duh statement...never been able to handle Brian Johnsons voice
Bon Scott was simply one of the greatest front men to ever grace the stage.
I sang this to my son, he was like 5 or 6, on a bus ride somewhere. His eyes were huge and was listening so intently. When he was 7 we saw them. Angus was doing his big extended solo, son on my shoulders and my boy starts screaming, "DA DAD, HES LOOKING AT ME!!!". Brought tears to my eyes. Not to mention my uncle Gerry was at this show. Saw them this same year for the first of very many times. Dio opened the night with Richie Blackmore and had the place on fire. Then AC/DC hit the stage playing Let There Be Rock and burned the house down. Felt like we survived a cage fight. Hell of a show.
I can not believe how good the sound mix was from 1978. That's the best I have ever heard!
Think I agree
My father saw them on this tour in Bristol in his words. "Fucking loud as fuck and joyful" even quo has trouble beating this shit !!!
@Geoff Morris '78/'79 were excellent years for live recordings and sound quality - Whitesnake's "Live in the heart of the city", Judas Priest's "Unleashed in the east', UFO's "Strangers in the night", Cheap Trick's "Live at Budokan".... or even Kiss Alive 1975 (and way better sound quality than Alive 2 in 1977)
Yes it does sound wicked. This sounds to me like the same mix as appears on the 'If you want blood' album, which I believe was recorded at the Apollo Glasgow, in which case ( I would imagine) it will have been a full multi track recording of all the channels coming from the stage split and sent out to a mobile recording studio parked out the back. This recording could then be mixed and mastered to produce the album, and also synced to this fantastic footage. There is also a video of Riff Raff from the same gig here. ruclips.net/video/ErXbMB9R5-0/видео.html
@@juwbone it’s the same mix. It was the first album I ever bought, on cassette tape. I wore it out.

Yes. This is just fantastic footage for 78! It's especially wonderful to see Bon live. I had just watched the original Jailbreak film clip. No frills , just amazing stage presence and raw talent.
You HAVE to check out Beat club's channel then, as any 70s live vid they did was top of the line for sound.

This is actually a different mix to the original version. I’d give my left testicle to hear the entire record remixed like this lol
@@User-jk8wq No sir, I believe this IS the same mix used on the LIVE album, "If You Want Blood You Got It" that was recorded from this exact concert.
@@michaelyolch79 It’s definitely the same performance, no question about that, but if you listen closely the bass guitar has a lot more hi-midrange aggression in this version. Also, the snare drum is a lot more aggressive and in-your-face if you know what I mean. Either way, If You Want Blood is a masterpiece of live rock n roll!

I gotta agree. And I'm a huge Keef fan.
I still put Keith at the top of that list but it's totally different. Two wonderful guitarists. Let's call it a draw!
Keef is lead guitar
@@tonywright8294 well not exactly..Brian and Ron have always handled the solos..but he is not strictly just rhythm, agreed...so Malcolm wins
When a reporter suggested to Angus that he was one of the best guitarists in the world he would reply that he wasn't even the best player in his family.
Thankfully I saw them 3 times live between 78 and 79.The band killed it every time. Bon was a pirate and a force of nature!
THE KING OF THE GUITAR ANGUS YOUNG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGF WHAT A MASTER A GOD TOUCHED BY STARS WE LOVE YOU AND BON SCOTT WE MISS YOU
I wonder if any bluesmen liked AC/DC. Because they were basically the heaviest blues band ever.
I have been playing blues and blues rock in bands for around 30 years. I love Angus's guitar playing. Even Eddi Van Halen said "Angus is so underrated, he does some wicked stuff in the blues realm".
I once told an Australian that, at its core, AC/DC was blues metal. He thought I was crazy and figured because he was Australian he knew better. I proceeded to list a number of songs to make my point. He didn't know 1/2 what I know about AC/DC...or about music.
@@rickl5596 When I was really young I thought AC/DC was southern rock. I didn’t know where they were from, but I was hearing the blues.
@@rickl5596 A lot of the Bon era had tonnes of blues rhythm in their songs as Angus loved the blues guitarist that he was brought up with, I absolutely love his blues solo's in The Jack as that song is definitely a blues rock song.
My god they play tight.
Tighter than Bon’s jeans.
R.I.P bon scott
That’s pretty tight.....and dressed to the left if you uh know what l mean

Бон Скот на!!!!
It just may get there.
what ever you do, please don't say they're underrated......there's always a pea brain that says this or that is "underrated" in every video
Let's go for over 20 million. Now it's at 17 million!
@@gtamediaproductions1 17000001, I just watched! 😁
The finest rock and roll band ever, they just sound better and louder and pure as the years go by
BEST Rocksong EVER! RIP Bon!
Angus seems like an introvert when he does interviews but on stage he is Babe Ruth and hits 714 home runs every time.
And only uses 3 strings to do it lol
Agreed very shy...but on stage is a human dynamo
At least use analogies of real mens sport
AC/DC have always been low key outside recording and touring. That’s why they’re an interesting band. More bands should follow their lead.
and.......never touched drugs or drink....!!!
I feel like I burned 500 calories just watching that.
Cuz forget my food in the Kitchen
Screw lifting 20 pound weights, I'm gonna listen to this on repeat for the entire day.
Bon was the man no question about that this is real AC-DC
😱💪
There's a thing here on youtube where Angus's guitar tech talks about how much Angus sweats and just rusts out all of his guitars
