It is a lot about the bass line!! , but sadly they have veered away from any real bass line wi current albumns, disproving my point, but hell put a bass in
Awesome. Put on a pair of headphones, brace yourself, and prepare to be transported into Rock n Roll heaven. One of the greatest bands of all time. Without question!
@@ritchieblackmoresrainbow1977 I've been having ear pain really bad for the last 7 months, this on top of decades of ear probs. Dammit man. I've been missing out for years on this one. The fukn joy of discovery. As excited as I was when I found the live video of "Dreamer/Deceiver" by Preist earlier this year. From the '70s also.
This among many other AC/DC songs has to be my fav ones! I remember my mom telling me a cool story about her first time hearing AC/DC, she’s Scottish like they are and she said she played Malcolm as a kid (no joke) soccer (USA and I think Canada) or foot ball (in Scotland and the UK I think they call it that) and she said she remembers doing some miscellaneous stuff with Angus lol she said he was cool guy and truly was. Problem child. Lol. Gotta love him!
saw AC/DC in 79...Highway To Hell tour...makes me old i guess but that was an awesome show and night.....glad i was there ...wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere eles ...RIP Bon Scott!
1980 was a bad year for rock-n-roll. It started with Bon’s death and then “Bonzo” Bonham from Zeppelin and the year ended with the murder of John Lennon. I’m 56 now. I was 15 in 80. I played in bands and Bon’s death just gutted me. Each generation has that one musical hero they look up to and for me Bon was it and still is.⚡️⚡️⚡️
@@grimmsleeper9475 If you were a Bon Scott fan it was crushing, because he was one of a kind, and those of us who were really into AC/DC in the US at that time were still few and far between, and so we tended to heavily identify with the band, because we were outliers, basically. And most of us identified with Bon in particular, because of the vocals and the lyrics being so unique, and his personality that came through in the songs. After his death I was in a deep depression for a while. Not seriously, like clinical depression, but it was a few degrees this side of losing a schoolmate or maybe someone maybe in your extended family. Because I always wanted to sound like him on vocals, and like Malcolm on guitar. Years later people told me I sounded a lot like Bon, so perhaps I succeeded. The mass popularity of AC/DC after Bon died was sort of a bitter pill to swallow, though. “Soul Stripper” is my favorite AC/DC song. Second favorite? “Squealer”. Two underrated songs that’s not on anyone’s list of favorites. Most people, even fans, haven’t heard of either one. This song ( and “Squealer”) has Mark Evans on bass guitar, not Cliff Williams. When live music at a concert sounds like the album you have true musicians instead of session musicians.
Wow... I remember listening to this broadcast live back in the 80's. It was on a TV show called "The Beat" on local Detroit TV. Doug Podel was one of the biggest DJ's back in the 80s. I remember him on WLLZ,... Detroits Wheels!
Bon Scott and Chuck Berry , the two greatest Rock n Roll poets in Rock n Roll history . Not many could match them as showmen either . Bon tips it in my opinion . That cheeky , dirty little voice of his was every bit as crucial to the sound of AC/DC as Angus’s feral and savage guitar sound was . RIP Bon .
