I played in bands and Bon’s death just gutted me. Each generation has that one musical hero they look up to and for me Bon was it and still is.⚡️⚡️⚡️
@@grimmsleeper9475 If you were a Bon Scott fan it was crushing, because he was one of a kind, and those of us who were really into AC/DC in the US at that time were still few and far between, and so we tended to heavily identify with the band, because we were outliers, basically. And most of us identified with Bon in particular, because of the vocals and the lyrics being so unique, and his personality that came through in the songs. After his death I was in a deep depression for a while. Not seriously, like clinical depression, but it was a few degrees this side of losing a schoolmate or maybe someone maybe in your extended family. Because I always wanted to sound like him on vocals, and like Malcolm on guitar. Years later people told me I sounded a lot like Bon, so perhaps I succeeded. The mass popularity of AC/DC after Bon died was sort of a bitter pill to swallow, though. After a while I got back into the swing of things, I think Brian did a great job, and fit the band really well.

Well, I met her in the garden
Underneath that old apple tree
Sitting with a handful of flowers
Looking as cool as can be
We talked away a couple of hours
Then she laid her hand on my lap
Oh, I thought I got to be dreaming
I didn't know I fell in her trap
CHORUS:
Then she made me say things I didn't want to say
Then she made me play games I didn't want to play
She was a soul stripper, she took my heart
Soul stripper, and tore me apart
She started moving nice and easy
Slowly getting into my spine
Killing off this nice little feeling
Ooooh, everyone she could find
And when she had me hollow and naked
That's when she put me down
Pulled out a knife and flashed it before me
Stuck it in and turned it around
Very nice lyrics!
