Thanks for the well done comparison video. Having owned both, I ultimately decided to keep the X-Pro 3. I enjoy the overall shooting experience the X-Pro3 affords and it feels so much better in the hand, even the shutter sound is so much more pleasing giving better feedback. The hidden screen doesn't bother me at all and I actually prefer shooting that way as apposed to chimping after every few shots. It allows me the opportunity to better concentrate on creating images. The X100 was nice in that the lens was attached and simplified choosing a lens to use. Overall I'm a Fujifilm fan and love the ability to use film recipes that emulate different film stock.
Since you mentioned X100V as a travel camera... I've got a pretty wide array of Fuji gear, but when I get on a plane I just take my X100F and a couple of extra batteries with me. I used to take one of the interchangeable lens bodies and a 3 lens kit, but I found I was changing gear too much and not enjoying my trip enough. Also because of the lens changing, I took fewer photos because it was just a pain. I started traveling with the X100F and counterintuitively I found the limits *liberating*. Rarely did I feel like I didn't have what I needed. As you say, for those tele shots, it's just not going to work. Similarly for really wide shots. But your style of shooting adapts to the limits of having just one lens. Whenever we can travel again, I might try the same approach but with the X-Pro3 and a 35mm lens like the Fuji 2/35 or Mitakon 0.95/35.
Hey Terra, great comment. I am in a very similar boat as you. I am not new to photography (lived in the Canon World). But now I am selling everything. I want to simplify because frankly I am not enjoying my photography as much because I always feel compelled to make the decision of what lens to take, or filter sizes and so forth. It actually has hampered my enjoyment and when I went on a Euro trip I felt like the Canon Mark IV was a rock in my shoe taking it everywhere with me with a telephoto lens. Thankfully I dont do photography for work, rather I do video production and operate cinema cameras. So my personal Photography is just that. Its personal. However if I really needed, I could take side gigs. I usually turn them down because I want to enjoy photography and would like it to be separate from secular work. But I am extremely stuck. I like the thought of being limited to one focal length. But at the same time im afraid that it might be a "phase" and in the end i really should go for the xpro3 for the slim 10% chances that I really want a 35mm (50 fullframe) for special portrait sessions. Or maybe im over thinking it and I need to just get a x100v and have my fill with it and sell it down the line when i need something different. Or sell it when a Xpro 4 releases. I DONT KNOW haha. Any insight now that its been a year? Have you found moments where you wish you would have gotten a Xpro 3? How frequently do you wish you had a different lens? Thank you,
@@cokerfilms2901 I have an Xpro3 and X100F. To be completely honest, I still reach for the X100F more often than the Xpro3 just as a matter of convenience. Since I posted this comment I also picked up a Sony A7 III. I enjoy it more than my Xpro3, and usually leave with only one lens attached. Most often a vintage Minolta Rokkor MC 58mm f/1.4 or a modern Voigtlander Nokton 40mm f/1.2 in E mount. The Voigtlander has a really nice modern rendering with a little character but I enjoy the Rokkor 58mm 1.4 more. Yes, I'm enjoying manual focus lenses now more than modern autofocus.
@@cokerfilms2901 Interesting. Sounds very familiar. „Ambitious hobbyist“ here as well. Been with Nikon for some 10 years. Two full frame bodies and all the 2.8 goodness at the end. And I hated using it. Holidays quickly became „how do I get which gear to the site most conveniently?“ rather than enjoying the actual holiday. Started only bringing a DSLR with one smallish prime. Made it better but I still needed a dedicated bag. And it still was one chunk of a camera. I semi-switched to a Fuji XT20 and several lenses years ago. But it didn’t do much. Rather a smaller version of the same problem (several lenses and stuff to manage, never really happy with my gear decisions on the day of shooting; plus missing the fullframe advantages) - so I ended up with „well, I might just stick with fullframe then…“ 1.5 years ago, I sold parts of my kit (only kept one body, 24-70, 85mm, flash - for „events“ and portraits) - to get a FUJI x100V. I’ve taken 30 photos with my Nikon ever since. And thousands of pictures with my Fuji. I shot whole holidays, my son’s school enrolment and so much more. Could I have gotten better pictures in any situation with a fullframe DSLR? Absolutely. But I wouldn’t have been a guest, friend, father at these events then, but the photographer. And that makes all the difference for me. As for your 35mm / 50mm equivalent lust: totally get it. I’m getting the tele converter „TCL“ from Fuji and a reasonable flash unit. For those rare occasions where I’m not happy with a 35mm look, it does the job sufficiently well but is clunky enough that I won’t take it everywhere. X100V all the way.
@@franzst.664 Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am happy to say, I picked up a 100v! I havent had much time to use it this past week. But the moments I have, has been pure bliss. Its simply fun, not cumbersome, and I have been asked multiple times if its a Leica Film Camera hahaha. Special Gem of a device that so far, is worth every penny.
You can just take one lens with you with the Xpro and it would be just as liberating. Lucky for you you have the budget for both camera. But if I were to pick one I would pick the xpro
Both are really great cameras but I can’t afford either which is why I went for the X-E3, a nice little compromise between the two. I’m just waiting to see if Fuji will update it to an X-E4 with that same flip screen on the X100V and processor & sensor, that would do me 🙂
I have both xpro and x100, they are great. Fundamentally though if I had to pick one its the xpro. It does everything the x100 does, size and weight very similar, yet xpro can do far more with different lens. Leaf shutter and nd filter don't mean so much to me. X100 makes things simple though with a fixed focal length.
I have the 100v and like it. I noticed if I have the hood on and use the flash: the hood blocks the flash from the bottom quarter of the photo. Fortunately the hood is easy to takeoff when you don’t need it.
I use a square lens hood that does not get in the way of the flash. I like the aesthetic touch it adds to the camera. It is supposed to be compatible with a filter, given you buy and use an extender. For the life of me, I could not get that work. At least the square shape of the lens hood should help keep dust away from the front lens element.
the reason i bought FUji xpro3 is exactly what you eplained in this video, I really really love the sub oled screen and xpro's design, as well as the FUji film mode
I am in the process of deciding between the X-Pro 3 and the X100V. I am thinking of leaning toward the X-Pro 3 because of the wider choice of lenses, as well as the flip screen which kind of forces you to use the viewfinder. Also I have the X100F so I am not sure I can justify upgrading to the X100V at the moment.
Great cameras, both. In the end, I went X-Pro3 as I have an X-Pro 2, frankly, I just love the form factor and design of the-Pros, reminds me so much of the Leica M6 back in the 80s, when I all too briefly owned that red dotted jewel. Don’t get me wrong, the X-100V is one helluva sexy camera (especially the silver/chrome), but the fixed 23mm, well...That said, I may rent one for a week and see what I am missing.
Both seem like amazing cameras, which I’m unlikely to ever own. Although, having had an xpro 2 with a line up of lenses and x100f. I’ve eventually settled for the x100f simply because I wanted something to carry around all the time in my pocket (Without adaptors). I know the 100v is a decent upgrade and perhaps in 2 to 3 years when it comes down in price I’ll think about it. Anyway, always nice to see you producing new content, especially when its a system I love.
I may be the only person ever to do this, but I actually traded my XP3 for a XT3 and a 16f1.4 because I didn’t enjoy the XP3 like my XP2. I added a X100T recently and that filled the joy of the Fuji rangefinder. The X100V may be on the list in a couple years.
Hopefully the X Pro 4 will have the sharper lines to the body that are now on the X100 V . A friend got his X100 V yesterday , and I’ve had a quick look and it’s stunning
I currently own an x-pro2 and an x-h1 with a wide array of primes and the 16-55. I plan to swap my x-pro2 for an x100v, as the x-pro2 in capabilities is very similar to the x-h1. With the x100v I have at least no excuse anymore to leave a camera at home. The biggest issue I have with the x-pro3 is that the dual magnification of the OVF is gone. That will make anything wider than 23mm or longer than 50mm useless in OVF mode which is the main reason to have an x-pro. With the x100v and the x-h1 I have a more flexible setup with best of both worlds...I hope...
I do have the exact same set up as you for the moment - x-h1 and x-pro2 with my only zoom being the 16-55. I am torn between 100v and x-pro3 as well. What did you upgrade to?
Hi, I’ve switched to the X100V and my X-Pro2 is now for sale together with a few primes. I really love the X100V and carry it more often than I did with the X-Pro2. I also decided to move to a high res full frame camera for my portrait and fashion work. Most likely the SL2 now that Sigma released a wonderful 85mm lens with L-mount.
I personally think that the rear of the x-pro3 is not as attractive let’s say as the front - which I love. The excessive amount of plastic around the viewfinder and thumb-rest area could have been designed with more refinement in my opinion. I also don’t like the small screen on the outside at all.
I just bought an X100S to see if I like the X100 style of camera...but that X100V with the flip screen is calling my name...I use the flip screen on my XT1 and XH1 quite a bit for street photography. Plus the leaf shutter...and the silver top...the built in ND...the new lens is sharp at f2...oh my
Andrew, great discussion, comparison & summation between the V & 3. I agreed to get both. 💰well worth the therapy from life’s bitter arrows🏹. Also, beautiful images of your children & the gorgeous Utah landscapes. As a XP3 owner with a 23mm f2 combo, I never felt a need for a limited focal length of the V. Then...a bad case of GAS stricken my inability to resist another Fuji 📷(6 thus far), I made a stupid impulse purchase for a V. 💸😑🔫 ...a month in & I cannot stop shooting 📸 with it. The V is just stunning & addictive to 📸(true of all Fuji 📷). I still 📸 with my XP3 with other lenses & the V is always there as well.
Really enjoyed the video! I agree and found myself working an event where I used a GFX with the gf110 portrait lens to shoot closeups of the singer and the x100v for photographing the room and other candid shots. Worked great!
Great comparison video, Andrew! Terrific arguments for both... That shot @ 15:11 is a beautiful example of why I have the X-T3/X-Pro3 - It's nice to have the flexibility of being able to change lenses. Oh, yeah - and that hoodie rocks!
Right now I’m shooting on an XT3 and an X100V. Love both. I shoot studio portraits and headshots, personal branding photos and the occasional family session. I used to shoot engagements and weddings, but now it’s almost entirely portrait work. I have fallen in love with the rangefinder style of the X100V, and I am eyeing the XPRO 3. I’m having a hard time deciding if I should sell my XT3, and get an XPRO 3, keep the XT3 and get an XE4, or just wait and save for the XPRO3 and have three cameras (XT3, XPRO & X100). I’ve also considered the XT4, but I don’t do video, don’t care about IBIS and I just don’t see the upgrade. I like to work very minimalist, and I only have a handful of lenses. I would love your thoughts as to what you would do in my shoes. I think I’m also feeling kind of burnt out and bored and there’s something about the x100 that just makes me want to shoot more, which is why I’m leaning towards the rangefinder minimalism found in XPRO series. I want the camera to get out of my way, and my work is about connection, simplicity and closeness. Even in the studio, I keep one eye open. I am finding myself shooting in studio with the X100! Would you sell the XT3 and get the XPRO, keep it and go XE4, or just wait and save and get the XPRO as a third?
My first good camera was the X100T. It was such a good starter camera. I didn't plan to make this a hobby, but I found myself consistently shooting about 3500 pictures a month.
I got the x100v yesterday and there is a big issue with it when pairing and using the fuji app. It disconnects every single time and 99% of the time, the camera locks up and have to remove the battery to fix. Only one time did the camera return to normal operation on its own. I emailed our regional Fuji rep here in Oklahoma City about it. Other than that so far, the camera works flawlessly that I experience. As far as the camera getting hot. It gets a little warm but being a small body, it’s also understandable so, not an issue there.
As an X-T30 owner I really want to get a rangefinder style camera. The X-Pro 3 is so very tempting but that price is a bit hard to justify. I'm actually surprised the X-Pro 3 is still priced similar to the X-T4 with image stabilization.
Titanium and hybrid viewfinder add a lot to the price. But it is a bit overpriced. But the market for that camera is definitely creeping toward Laica territory, so it makes some sense from a pricing perspective.
Really good video. I loved my XPro2 and now you have me seriously thinking about the XPro3, my poor wallet. The Fuji 14mm f/2.8 is a wonderful and extremely under appreciated lens.
Another difference. I did not see you include. Is that the ISO dial on the X100V clicks up into posotion and becomes an ISO dial that you can rotate until you like the setting. And then click back down into its flush position. The pro does not click up into position. You have to pull it up and rotate it and let it spring back down.
The x100 series is incredible it just gets better with each iteration while largely keeping the stunning form factor. I’m using the F love it like no other camera I’ve owned it just never fails to impress. I use the camera for almost everything especially landscapes you have to work on your shot but the results are worth it the WCL is on the shopping list too. I’m fighting like mad not to buy the V as in all honesty it’s only the flip screen I fancy to save the dodgy knees a bit I’m getting ever closer to shelling out the readies for the V then last week I shot a vid on my chan using the F to capture all the stills and just like that I’m sticking with the F until it passes away or the V1 or whatever comes out next. Cracking review mate calm easy listening all round top video. New sub is a no brainer regards paul 📷📷❤️

Thank you for your informative videos. I have abandoned Canon for x100v and now you have soon tricked me into buying an x-pro3. Continue with your great movies!
The X-Pro 3 is just a better camera, but I can’t seem to get over the fact that I can put the X100V in my pocket. I already have plenty of much better cameras, but I’m really looking for something small and easy. It’s not even like the XPro is very large with a small lens like the 35mm, so it’s a hard choice! I do really like the XPro not having it’s screen exposed. Feels like shooting film.
I use eshutter for outdoors , mechanical for indoors, I don't really think too much about that. It's nice to have a grab and go camera, my father wants to learn photography I definitely suggest the x100v for him, I prefer the lcd its more usable for him. I love your jacket Andrew 😭
I was choosing between the x100v and the Xpro3 but the only difference is around 200$ so I picked up the Xpro3. I'll invest for an X100V when the prices go down because the X100V is so gorgeous... Unless fujifilm releases a X100VI with removable lense haha
Great video. I love and adore my X-Pro3. It's by far my favourite Fujifilm camera to date - apart from maybe that dream period of exciting experimentation when I first hopped aboard with the X100 those many years ago. I really want to pick up the X100V to go with it, I'm even thinking of trading in my X-T3 to do so, as I don't really shoot much video at all. I shoot weddings, street, documentary and theatre and dance. Here's the game-plan... X100V: For Medium and WCL wide shots, and silent moments that would be spoilt by shutter clicking. I might get a TCL just in case I need to push that silent mode further. (Electronic shutter is too risky I find with indoor lighting.) X-Pro3: 50mm f/2 for dance work, 56mm for theatre and weddings. 35mm for that happy medium. I don't think I'll be able to part with my 18mm f/2. I did so once before and missed it desperately. For the days when I just want to take my X-Pro3 out for a walk and do some street, that's the lens I put on it. The 23mm f/2 I'll probably have a harder time justifying keeping, but it is a lens I like. Oddly, once again, the lens that is most under threat is the 16mm f/1.4. I just find it too heavy and big for my to have fun with, and 16mm is not something I often enjoy. If the WLC keeps the crispness of the X100V 23mm then I may just... erk... trade it in. Anyway, thanks again. Looking forward to the lens comparision!
I would love to see a video or quick short with the xpro3 and zoom lenses like the 50-140 on it. I so curious about using more intense zooms with the xpro3 body. I currently have an XH1 but my style is more for Documentary/event and I'm not totally sure I really need the IBIS, so I'm thinking about getting the xpro3... I am worried about attaching zoom lenses like the 50-140 on it potentially or the 8-16mm and the possible obstruction with the range finder. If possible, I'd love to see a video with the xpro and those types of zooms and some sample shots!
I watch one video on Fuji cameras, great video though, its a really useful video for those who can't decide but love the three example shots you've got around 2:50
Hi and thank you gor your video ! Which one would you recommend for street/documentary/travel in complement of an xt30 + 16mm 1.4 + 56mm 1.2? Thank you very much for your answer!
I have XT3. Mostly I use 50-140mm but when i need wide angle i change to 16mm F1.4 lens. I think i am gonna sell my 16mm to get X100V for wide angles. I know its not wide much as 16 mm. But i think its gonna be easier than changing lens all the time.
I got mine a few days ago and gets hot just using the menus for 5 minutes. I know cameras can get hot as they are effectively mini computers but mine does not seem right. May I ask if you have experienced this heat on yours?
James Robertson I've not had any overheating or grating noises from the focus ring. I tend to switch on, take the picture and switch off so I don't have it on for long... Oh, I've had it on for a longer period while it set it up and made adjustments to the way it works, and didn't notice any heat issues, which I'm glad off.
Hello, I’ve been watching a lot of videos of both cameras and your vids are amazing! But I have a question as someone who never owned a camera before which one should I get first? I can afford either one of them so the price is not a problem for me. I love photography and I finally want to upgrade from my iPhone and I’m absolutely in love with both cameras! The style of photography I like is street/urban and architecture maybe some landscape! As a first timer should I get a fixed lens or interchangeable lens camera? Also portability is important to me too so if I use a lens on the xpro3 thats equal to the x100v will the portability be the same? I dont know tbh I need an experts opinion please!!
I don't know much about the way you shoot, so I can't make that call. In lieue of that, I usually just recommend the camera that gets you the most excited to shoot that you can responsibly afford.
I can’t get over the x100v lens, but the xpro3 gives me the versatility I’m looking for..can anyone suggest a great lens for the xpro that can match that of the 100v??
It's interesting to hear you say the X-Pro3 is not designed for landscape photography. You mentioned the problem of not being able to pull down the LCD beyond 90-degrees when using a bracket and overhead shooting on a tripod. I don't recall ever needing to do that. Thanks for the video -- I'm getting back into Fuji and these are the cameras (along with the X-E4) that I am considering.
@@AndrewGoodCamera Ugh! You’re right, that would be horrible. It appears you can fold the LCD 180-degrees depending on the QR plate, but I’m guessing a standard L-bracket won’t allow that.
I just shoot family and art, so the x100V is the clear winner, but I miss the ability to use a true manual focus voigtlander. Not because the VM would be a better lens technically, but just for the true helicoid experience. I just want shutter speed, iso, aperture, and focus to be at my fingertips. I dont want them to move without my permission. And I want it all connected to the very best lens possible. That is all. Really, I should be shooting with a Leica q2.... but, thats more money than my car and/or a really amazing family vacation. Someday.
I have the X-pro3 and I don't care one second about the X100 series... sorry, just fixed lens cameras aren't for my taste. I can do all I want with my X-pro and it's compact enough for me so... 😅😁
I've had a problem bumping settings with my Holga 120N, the B and N switch slide out of place, I tape it.😁 Seriously I'm considering the x100v as much as I like film photography with my Mamiya C330f and Nikkormat FT2.
Andrew is there a way to shoot the raw file in B&W, and use the monochromatic color mode in the menus? This adds a nice color hue to black & white images that I haven’t been able to duplicate when converting a color image to B&W.
The iPhone 12 just blown me away! The images from the different focal length are not bad either. Is this the beginning of the end for Japan's camera industry?
I already have an x100f that i bought like a month before the v came out. But im tempted to get an xpro to have different focal lengths. I havent decided if i should keep the x100f though
Hey Andrew, I love your channel. I have a quick question that I hope you can shed some light on. On the X100F, if I used my filter ring adapter with a BPM 1/4 filter, and tried using the on camera flash at night, it would always vignette, sometimes 1/4 of my lower frame at closer distances. This was a deal breaker and I sold my x100f. My solution was to use the XF-8 flash that came with my XT-2 on the the X100F, but that pairing didn't work at all. (I have a Q20II flash, but I really don't like that thing) Can you please test if the XF-8 flash work on the X100V in TTL? Thanks in Advance - Sif
These cameras are so good (+ good looking ^^), but so limited at a time... If you are not using it for a very very precise type of picture photography, you'll better get an X-T or X-H line 🤷♂ I won't buy either of them like a main camera, this would be so frustrating 😅 Thanks for the video 👍
I haven't gotten my hands on the x100v yet, but I wiiiiiish that ISO dial cuff thing was on the xPro3. That was one of the few things that annoyed me about the xPro3. But dammit, the xPro3 made me feel things. I'm really considering buying one lol. But lemme tell you, those photos you made on the x100v are absolute fire my guy
Thanks Lou! I totally forgot to mention the ISO dial difference in this video, but agree with you. I don't use the ISO dial on my x-pro 3. I put it in C and use the back dial to change ISO. Works great and no more fuss. It's a gorgeous device. This pandemic thing is going to be big hit to me with the events I run on the side. I may end up having to sell some stuff. And deciding between these two cameras is something I'm not looking forward to :(
I don't really understand the use of ND filter on a camera with such a fast minimum shutter speed (except maybe for long exposures on a sunny day and landscapes). Why do you need it in bright sun shooting at f 2? Is electronic shutter's gonna cause rolling shutter problems at such high speed - let's say 1/16000?
Does this camera have only single focus? Does it have continuous autofocus too? (Thinking of shooting my cat with this one if it is possible to get clearn shots of my cat while it is moving)
Hello Andrew. Between the two, which would you say has the better build. The way a camera feels in the hand is really important to me and I’m looking between these two cameras as a walk around personal use option. Thank you for the video!
I have the x100v. What I love about it is I can move the focus point very quickly with my finger. However, with the xpro3, in a fast paced street environment, I would have to focus and recompose. I should auto iso so I'm wondering is there any way to make the metering update while recomposing??
Hi Andrew. Why would you choose X-Pro3 over X-H1 considering various shooting scenarios, including docu, street, events? I am really interested in your opinion. To me it seems as an elephant in the porcelain. A beautiful elephant though...

I enjoy the overall shooting experience the X-Pro3 affords and it feels so much better in the hand, even the shutter sound is so much more pleasing giving better feedback. 1.5 years ago, I sold parts of my kit (only kept one body, 24-70, 85mm, flash - for „events“ and portraits) - to get a FUJI x100V.
“Best of both worlds” is my philosophy too! Just bought the XPRO-3 to go with my x100 original. Great combo
The fill-in flash on the x100 series is very underrated. So useful.
🙏
I'm happy with how happy you look at the end of this video where you talked about how enjoyable was using both cameras at an event.
Got mine yesterday x100v in black, it is great and looks gorgeous
ahh! nice how would you compare it to 100f?
If you're someone who needs to use flash then get the X100V. It has a leaf shutter and you can sync the flash at any speed.
Hopefully the X Pro 4 will have the sharper lines to the body that are now on the X100 V . A friend got his X100 V yesterday , and I’ve had a quick look and it’s stunning
If EV dial is a problem in x100v, you can set EV to C mode on x100v and use back dial to change the EV value
Currently in serious relationship with pro 3 but 100v keeps texting me I might respond:)
😂
My best duo is : X100V and X-Pro3. Lens 35mm, 56mm ( X100V already have 23mm) :) best everyday camera.
What you think about this duo Andrew?
Sounds perfect!
I went for the X100V… Got to love that leaf shutter… And in black with an ugly closed in round hood it is very stealthy only loosing to the GRIII.
I just bought an X100S to see if I like the X100 style of camera...but that X100V with the flip screen is calling my name...I use the flip screen on my XT1 and XH1 quite a bit for street photography. Plus the leaf shutter...and the silver top...the built in ND...the new lens is sharp at f2...oh my
this is the much awaited review i was waiting for. thanks Andrew
X-pro 3 with the x100v screen.......my dream Fuji camera.
i'd like the exact opposite...
X-T3
XT3 DSLR type XPro3 Rangefinder type
I gave in and got both 😱
As an X-T30 owner I really want to get a rangefinder style camera.
I just switched to an X100V and XT3 from an Xpro3. I think this is a great decision. Love your videos!
Another difference. I did not see you include. Is that the ISO dial on the X100V clicks up into posotion and becomes an ISO dial that you can rotate until you like the setting. And then click back down into its flush position. The pro does not click up into position. You have to pull it up and rotate it and let it spring back down.
What I liked about your video is how gentel and we'll manersed you are when vloging 😄
Thanks, my friend. I do my best. :)

1 year later and Im craving for an x100v and theyre 2000$ new on ebay... compared to 1 year ago which was 1400$ hahaha what happened???
(Electronic shutter is too risky I find with indoor lighting.)
X-Pro3: 50mm f/2 for dance work, 56mm for theatre and weddings.
Video coming out soon on WCL / TCL compared to regular X lenses. Spoiler, I love the WCL, but not the TCL.
Yeah I have the Xpro 3 for all the reasons you mentioned.
I'd love to see the same hybrid veiwfinder in a much more affordable Fuji camera; like in the same price range as the XT30
The best in between is the X-E3.
Yes!!
I don’t know why X-E series never gets the credit it deserves !
I watch one video on Fuji cameras, great video though, its a really useful video for those who can't decide but love the three example shots you've got around 2:50
Just thought I’d mention the interesting Kodak wardrobe selection for a video about Fuji gear
Life's too short, just get out an enjoy using the X100V... I've been using my XF10 while I waited my X100V in black arriving. Got it today 🙂
Oh, I've had it on for a longer period while it set it up and made adjustments to the way it works, and didn't notice any heat issues, which I'm glad off.
i really cant decide which one to buy.
Got my X100v yesterday, and so far I'm impressed. For sure I'll be keeping my X-H1, but the X-T20 will be going up for sale/trade soon. 😊
Charles Reace I sold my x-t1, 28 & 35mm lenses xf lenses for one. Got it today... Black
Great, great comparison! Thank you!
You're forgetting vertical orientation
@@AndrewGoodCamera Ugh! You’re right, that would be horrible. It appears you can fold the LCD 180-degrees depending on the QR plate, but I’m guessing a standard L-bracket won’t allow that.
Too bad the xpro 3 didn't have the LCD found on the x100v . that would be for me almost the perfect camera.
That is a dope hoodie! Where'd you get it, if you don't mind me asking?
Don Laroza the same question 😁
Absolutely the most important question right now!!!
Screw the cameras. This is all we need to know! :)
I would also like to know this...
So...after some digging, it seems that this hoodie was sold by Forever21. Not anymore though.
I've had a problem bumping settings with my Holga 120N, the B and N switch slide out of place, I tape it.😁
Seriously I'm considering the x100v as much as I like film photography with my Mamiya C330f and Nikkormat FT2.
Logical sense tell me to get xt4, but I prefer the xpro3...
I went X-Pro3
Andrew, where did you get your hoodie? I’m interested!
From all the fujifilm cameras you tried, which is the best for you? please answer thank you!
Andrew is there a way to shoot the raw file in B&W, and use the monochromatic color mode in the menus? This adds a nice color hue to black & white images that I haven’t been able to duplicate when converting a color image to B&W.
Hi. If you add the adapter and filter to make the X100V fully weather sealed, does it protrude as much as an X-Pro3 with 35mm f2?
no
The iPhone 12 just blown me away! The images from the different focal length are not bad either. Is this the beginning of the end for Japan's camera industry?
I’ve got the xpro2 and trying to decide if I want to switch to the X100V.
Really, and really, and really nice video! Thanks so much!
Thx for the late night video Andrew. Good stuff (you read my mind). I look forward to the adapter lens comparison video.
I already have an x100f that i bought like a month before the v came out. But im tempted to get an xpro to have different focal lengths. I havent decided if i should keep the x100f though
Really instructive. I made choice: Buy a Leica!!! (No, I prefer the X100V ;) )
Question - what's the rational with using all this stuff vs a DSLR with a 24-70mm zoom? (i.e. talk me out of my gear acquisition syndrome!)
Nice review overall, but the complaints are absolutely ridiculous.
Complains are splitting hairs, sure.
Does the xpro 3 come with a kit lense? If so which one?
Good share. Loving the hoodie design. 😊
Hi, just stopped the Video after seeing 5 seconds, I have a question: where did u get that sweater? It’s beautiful 😍
I am having a hard time deciding if should sell my EM1-MkII and my pro 3 pro lenses....and buy an X-Pro 3.........
So next video X-Pro3 vs X-T3
These cameras are so good (+ good looking ^^), but so limited at a time... If you are not using it for a very very precise type of picture photography, you'll better get an X-T or X-H line 🤷♂ I won't buy either of them like a main camera, this would be so frustrating 😅
Thanks for the video 👍
How is the x100v iq on monochrome photo ? I’m only interested on b&w photography . Thanks
And deciding between these two cameras is something I'm not looking forward to :(
Great video with detail review! What if I love both cameras? lol... BTW, the Fittest made handgrip/L-bracket is cool for 100V and Pro3.
Love your content Andrew but i have to ask... where did you get the hoodie? I need it!
Not made anymore :(
Nah....but if it was Kodachrome 😎
Is the AF better on the X100V or XPro3 ?
No difference
Does this camera have only single focus? Does it have continuous autofocus too? (Thinking of shooting my cat with this one if it is possible to get clearn shots of my cat while it is moving)
Yes, it has continuous
Where can I get a hoodie like that? Love it
Hello Andrew. Between the two, which would you say has the better build. The way a camera feels in the hand is really important to me and I’m looking between these two cameras as a walk around personal use option.
Thank you for the video!
No question the x pro 3 is made of higher quality materials and has the better grip. But the x100v feels really great too.
I have the x100v. What I love about it is I can move the focus point very quickly with my finger. However, with the xpro3, in a fast paced street environment, I would have to focus and recompose. I should auto iso so I'm wondering is there any way to make the metering update while recomposing??
Is your x100v working still fine ?
Great video, Andrew. I ended up getting both, lol!
How do the EVF’s on both cameras compare with each other (resolution, refresh rate, coverage) ? Many thx!
love the reviews. decided to get the x100v . very nice ectachrome jacket btw , where do you get it ? i would love to have it!!
They don't make it anymore
Hi Andrew. Why would you choose X-Pro3 over X-H1 considering various shooting scenarios, including docu, street, events? I am really interested in your opinion.
To me it seems as an elephant in the porcelain. A beautiful elephant though...
Also, I can't imagine how you enjoyed that event you mentioned with 50-140 on the X-Pro3 with its non-existing grip.
Did you have any overheating issues with the x100v while filming 4K?
See my video on that
