I agree with your views of the XPro3. I own one and enjoy using it. I specifically purchased it because I wanted the rear screen to be less accessible.
I've used Nikons for decades and I switched to Fuji mainly because of the size and weight but also the controls on top, the film simulations and the recipes. The lenses are sharp and less costly also.
The X-Pro3 was my all-time favorite camera, but unfortunately I had to sell it last year, so I recently picked up the Ricoh GR III HDF. The Ricoh provides a unique shooting experience that I really enjoy, but I still find myself captivated by the photos I took with the X-Pro3. Now, I'm dreaming of the X-Pro4.
The silver top plate on my XT-4, the retro dials, the old school 1960's / 1970's aesthetic was a head turner for the first day I saw it. I totally agree, the Fujifilm camera lineup are some of the most beautifully designed machines around.

I believe I put mine into vidiq for this one, I wonder if it picks up on other vids. I don’t find it misleading at all though, clearly alludes to Fujifilm’s popularity which seems pretty undeniable.
Fujifilm just feels right in the hands. Dials and buttons plus beautiful design makes you want to use it all the time. Results / outcome are really good. I have been using X-T2 for some years now and it just performs ⭐🤓👍
Fuji cameras are just amazing. I shoot on an R6 and I still love whipping out my old Fuji XH1 every now and then. They feel incredible to use and the image quality from their lenses and sensors is actually AMAZING. Frikken LOVE their lenses. The Fuji is now my travel/every day camera.
Same, retired my little Sony A6000 that has made me thousands in the last few years. She's my 100% work-only camera (5,000 automotive dealership photos per week). Lots of use and abuse. However, my XT3 is my TRUE camera. The one I trust and enjoy using fully. Im used to the knobs and metal build of my 80s Olympus cameras and the XT3 feels spot on. LOVE IT. Not putting it through the punishment the SONY takes, and does it no problem, but the other is where the heart is.
Haha thanks my man! Still like 100 vids to edit 😂 We need to go back so we can go to tk nightclub. Thanks for the thumbnail broooo, it goes alright ay 😛
I still use my X-Pro 1 and it holds up well despite its age and is a great “manual” learner’s camera, especially with the extremely limited autofocus. Would love a new X-Pro or an X100 but can’t quite justify the upgrade yet (for my purely amateur purposes).
I have been using the xt3 for a little while and i got the xt5 now, not only do fuji cameras look attractive and give that retro film camera look but the versatility, image quality, film simulations but it's a great and compact camera overall
I'm one of them. I bought XE4, used it for 4 months and I love it so much, but eventually have to sell it due to the auto-focus. but I will still looking forward to any up coming small size FujiFilm camera that has improved auto-focus.
I love my Fuji camera. I shoot raw+jpeg. I keep the raw files but mostly use the jpegs for sharing and printing. The used markets for the fuji cameras have gone pretty insane in prices. :O
If you don't mind clunkiness, slowness to focus and lack of wi-fi then the original X100 and X-Pro1 are still very good cameras and pretty cheap second hand. They have a very strong filmic quality. gXACE has some very compelling videos on them. They'll make you tear your hair out if you're photographing kids racing about, but the files they produce are gorgeous if you know what you're doing. :)
I adore the X-Pro3 and X100V, though after three years of use on both I'm having to send them in for repair owing to power issues. They're tremendous cameras, but Fujifilm still have to crack things on the reliability stakes. Anyway, I couldn't imagine shooting anything else now - except a Leica, and I'll never be able to afford one of those. If you're looking at either the X-Pro3 and XE4 as an alternative to the hard-to-find X100V, and really want to use it for lifestyle / gigs / low-fi 80s NY punk & hip-hop fashion aesthetic then pick up the EF-X20. It's a dinky flash that looks pretty cool on top of the camera and blends perfectly, and it pops out a really nice direct flash. Marry that with the under-rated 18mm f/2 and a 35mm f/1.4 and you pretty much have a kit that with a bit of practice can do everything you need. For new Japanese street-shooting ideas, check out Jacob Aue Sobol, Shomei Tomatsu and of course Moriyama. Great video, thanks!
I've been shooting Fujifilm for about 8 years, I always buy used, and recently the markets across the whole range have doubled. Back in 2018 you could get and X-E3 for about $400 USD, now you'll be hard pushed to find one under $800. Honestly I don't think you could do anything on a Fujifilm that you couldn't do with a Cannon for example. In fact some of Canon's in-camera look features are better once you incorporate the Camera Window software they give you in the box. Either way, I wish this trend would die because my X-T2 and X70 are on their last legs and I want to replace them, but not for double the price I bought them for years ago. Unfortunately I have too many XF lenses to just jump system, but if I could, I'd go to Canon or Nikon, and Ricoh. They seem to be on trend for innovating more than Fujifilm over the past couple years. Fujifilm has always been slow off the line with that stuff. For example, the X-T5 is the first photo camera to really out perform the X-T2. Everything in the middle was like a mild upgrade to video features like Codecs and IBIS. The AF has barely improved too, leaving them in the dust behind even Panasonic with the new S5II. Not that it's unreliable, but it's definitely at the back end of the pack.
Yeah I share some of your thoughts. I've been shooting Fuji since 2015, at that time it was still uncommon to see people using FujiX, the hype right now is a lot, most of my equipment was used and the prices were fairly good, now is crazy. Back in 2019, and even 2020 you could find XT1 with lens included (XF18-55) from 300 to 380 usd. In 2020 I bought my X-E3 with lens included XF23mmf2, from Amazon (open box) for 648 USD. My X-E3 still has some life in it, I hope in 2 years the trend goes to a more normal state if not, I would have to move to Nikon. The good side is that if I sell my Fuji year, I would make a profit.
@@demetrio3d239 I feel you. My problem is that my X-T2 is absolutely savaged. I bought to be a tank and I think it did a respectable job, but I couldn't sell it in the condition its in. The mechanical shutter has failed, and it randomly turns off when you tilt it slightly. 😂 I have been looking at the Z30 and weighing up whether to get that, wait for the Canon R60, or just buy a Ricoh GRIII and stop pretending I'll use more than one lens.

I was sick of sitting behind the screen editing raws. After shooting so many 35mm film shots I got used to, and looked forward to using my Olympus OM1 film camera more and more. Using the new Sony felt artificial when jumping over again, even though its a phenomenal camera I dedicate to my daily work. The Fuji JPEGs look how I intentionally edit my photos, so Im looking forward to just running and gunning with it in Manual. Spend more time finding clever compositions and enjoying my day, rather than being chained to my desk with RAW edits all the time.
I use the xt100 with an 85mm f1.8 xf lens and seriously the shots you can get from this setup are stunning. I bought this setup as a holiday camera I guess and now I use it for everything even put my 5d mk3 aside because the fuji can do it all and can fit in your jacket or a very small camera case/bag
I picked mine up from Kitamura, a camera store in Tokyo! Brand is Yosemite. Only downside for me, this style of strap seems very overpriced for what it is. Another brand I came across with similar if you want to check out is COOPH ✌🏼

Nice to see someone who has deviated from the hype surrounding the X100V. I could totally see myself purchasing an X-Pro 3 or even X-E4 which I see as a far more practical and cost effective option than the X100V. I think the X100V has benefitted most of all from the unaffordability of Leica for most people, clever marketing by Fuji, and the phenomenal amount of RUclipsrs jumping on the 'I love the X100V' bandwagon. I have owned one (before the crazy price rise), and though it is a very capable camera and is aesthetically pleasing to use, these are alternatives that can be found at a significantly lower price with other brands/options. You have taken some very nice images which goes to show that it is the photographer, not the gear that takes the photo. Cheers John Pouw, NZ
Nice one! Depending how big the upgrade is / if it's worth it for you, you might even be able to pick up a good deal on the X Pro3 once it comes out. I find if I'm shooting a lot with the screen open, I do drain the battery quite quick. I carried a power bank though and it's quite easy to give it a quick charge with that so it hasn't been a big issue for me.
An interesting video which confirms many of my thoughts too. I originally switched from Canon 5D family to the Fujifilm because of the proper aperture ring on the lenses. I use my X-Pro 1 daily and don't feel like switching. Also owned the X100F (also an excellent camera) but sold it as I prefer the X-Pro 1. Only feature I miss is a viewfinder diopter.
bought myself a used X-Pro2 last month. When they come on for sale, they are mostly sold within 2 days, so i guess i got lucky. I am sure I can get my money back at any time if I would ever put it back up for sale. lenses: 23 f2, 18-55 (used), 70-300 and 56 f1.2(old model, outlet, new for half the price) I found back the fun in fotography, wich somewhere got lost since my Nikon Film times.
Kitamura it's called. Few locations but this one is in Shinjuku - great range, not really where you're likely to find a big bargin but certainly worth checking out! I've purchased a few secondhand lenses here as well. They are always well tested and very transparent of any issues - I just needed google translate to read the info cards.
EyE could care less about video or action photography. That being the case, I own & use a pair of X-E2 Fujis (paired with the 27mm pancake when street shooting), the sweet spot for me.
hello is it worth buying x pro 3 at a good price today?? I have xt5 but I still feel that I have too good equipment for my needs. I recently left sony for fuji. I still feel that xt5 has everything to the point of being boring. I really like x pro 3 visually and I know that it will be a sacrifice. I know everything about xpro 3 but does it still make sense today a 5 year old camera? I think the wind is carrying me away from simple photography. maybe manual lens is best from leica.
Great video.... thanks. For me the X-Pro 3 is a far better camera than the X-100V.... I would love to have the Pro,- but it is to expensive to me.... so I have the X-E3. The small brother of the Pro..... I love Fuji. It has given me the love to photo again.
Thanks for the comment 😊 I think Fuji has plenty of great options! The only unfortunate thing at the moment with the popularity is that second hand prices are high, making it harder for many to get their hands on one!
I have a x100f and also the wcl to give me the 28mm option also and to be honest it’s all I use these days the 100f takes stunning pictures and the jpegs all just beautiful , I was a canon user before going over to Fuji now I don’t think I will switch back I’m hooked on Fuji cameras 😊
Hi I do videos so I am searching for a small and light camera to shoot only photos and have just fun. I can’t shoot whith my work horses . Maybe the xt 20 or xt 30 it depends don’t care to be full spect out. Thank you for your thoughts
Hi there! I only purchased mine second hand back in December last year, so still relatively new to it. Definitely no issues yet but will keep an eye on that
That really is the question! Haha ultimately depends on your patience I guess 😂 worse case if you wait you may even pick up the 3 cheaper once the 4 comes out
Problem is Fuji doesn’t have any lens close to the quality of the 100v 35mm 2.0. The equivalent isn’t that great of a lens. Getting the 100v almost a year ago I didn’t realize how much I would like that camera
The Xt series and X Pro series are really great. I love the XT4 and produced great results and a joy to use especially as a travel and all day photography. But for me as a nature and wildlife photography, the offering of the XH2 and XH2s miss the boat. The ergonomics suck. the AF system is good but could be better, but the big let-down is that lens collection. The 150-600 at f8 is a dead horse, the 100-400 needs an urgent update, the 200 f2 is to short and expensive. If Nikon can make a 400f4.5 full frame at the cost they do why can't Fuji do it? or a 150 -500 f5.6 if OM can make a M43 top end lens. Last, the processing of the files is a double process, and the details suffer. But I will keep my Xt4 for travel.
We live in a golden age of digital photography and so many brands are great. As for this video, there is something called reality that we can't escape. Fujifilm cameras, though great, are a very distant FOURTH in digital camera sales. No amount of brand tribalism will alter this fact.
Just picked a X-Pro 2 and I love the images. But I want to know why no one is talking about the awful battery life. I came from Sony so maybe that’s why

You have taken some very nice images which goes to show that it is the photographer, not the gear that takes the photo. Cheers John Pouw, NZ
Love my X-Pro3, best thing in a very long time.
Ayo, 35 1.4 too. How do you feel about it? That's what I am going after too. I just got my X-T4 and that's gonna be my first lens I think.
I’m trying to wait on a X pro 4, if not I’ll be grabbing the pro 3! I just dislike the battery
Fuji sells dioptered viewfinder rubber rings. I think old Nikon ones fit as well.
bought myself a used X-Pro2 last month. When they come on for sale, they are mostly sold within 2 days, so i guess i got lucky.
I am sure I can get my money back at any time if I would ever put it back up for sale.
lenses: 23 f2, 18-55 (used), 70-300 and 56 f1.2(old model, outlet, new for half the price)
I found back the fun in fotography, wich somewhere got lost since my Nikon Film times.
what store did you find that camera at? im going to japan next month and love to check out cool camera stores especially for used stuff
@TKNORTH thanks for the response! I will definitely check it out since my hotel is in Shinjuku
@Shiegao oh perfect! Enjoy your time there 🙂
Love the photos took by X-pro 3!
Not everyone is buying Fujifilm in 2023 ... I'm finding the M43 platform more interesting in 2023, but did dabble very briefly in the X mount in 2020.
I've been using Fuji for many years but its a bit annoying that the used prices have been driven up by the surge in demand.
EyE could care less about video or action photography. That being the case, I own & use a pair of X-E2 Fujis (paired with the 27mm pancake when street shooting), the sweet spot for me.
Body/Lens mounted access to all elements of the exposure triangle & film simulations..... ‘nuff said ✅
nice video, shot well, with nice soundscape.
Appreciate that!
@@TKNORTH The intro was great!! likked the voiceover and b roll.
hello is it worth buying x pro 3 at a good price today?? I have xt5 but I still feel that I have too good equipment for my needs. I recently left sony for fuji. I still feel that xt5 has everything to the point of being boring. I really like x pro 3 visually and I know that it will be a sacrifice. I know everything about xpro 3 but does it still make sense today a 5 year old camera? I think the wind is carrying me away from simple photography. maybe manual lens is best from leica.
Which lens or lenses did you attach to the X-Pro 3? Were all of the images straight out of the camera except for minor cropping? Cheers!!
What lens did you end up using the most with it?
Unmatched shooting & viewing satisfaction/experience..... ‘nuff said again ✅
its a joy to use... that`s all
Great images!
Thanks so much dude!
Is the body water/weather resistant as that is essential for my line of work.
18mm 1.4 or 33mm 1.4 plus T5 or wait for Pro4? I have a Z6II which is great, but not for street.
Hi I do videos so I am searching for a small and light camera to shoot only photos and have just fun. I can’t shoot whith my work horses . Maybe the xt 20 or xt 30 it depends don’t care to be full spect out. Thank you for your thoughts
What lens is that
Thank you for your video, how does it handle sensor dust? I got rid of my X-T3 because of that issue
Hi there! I only purchased mine second hand back in December last year, so still relatively new to it. Definitely no issues yet but will keep an eye on that
XH2s can be any other camera in their lineup and much more
Your shots are great man God bless you.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it 😊
Shall I buy x pro 3 or wait for the x pro 4 ?
That really is the question! Haha ultimately depends on your patience I guess 😂 worse case if you wait you may even pick up the 3 cheaper once the 4 comes out
Xpro2 is even more versatile, having the possibility to switch on and off the LCD screen ;) plus is cheaper
Problem is Fuji doesn’t have any lens close to the quality of the 100v 35mm 2.0. The equivalent isn’t that great of a lens. Getting the 100v almost a year ago I didn’t realize how much I would like that camera
Could you tell me the lens hood brand / type? I really like the design of these hood. Thx!
It’s a Fujifilm one! I had 3 second hand 35mm’s to pick from in decent condition, only one had the hood! Unsure how easy they are to find
@@TKNORTH thx man! Hope you enjoy the camera and more good vids in the future! Cheers
Would you mind telling me which second-hand camera store in japan you got your camera from?
Yeh of course! It's a popular one, Kitamura. Shinjuku store.
Any suggestion you can give me?
Just a beginner with a budget of 1k to 1.2kusd. Thanks in advance
Did you happen to hit up Kitamura Camera in Shinjuku?
Sure did! Great place 👌
@@TKNORTH I know those aisles from anywhere!!!
Everyone?
nice pictures! want to see more of them?
i totally agree with you....
Food for thought 📷👍
We live in a golden age of digital photography and so many brands are great. As for this video, there is something called reality that we can't escape. Fujifilm cameras, though great, are a very distant FOURTH in digital camera sales. No amount of brand tribalism will alter this fact.
I’d sell my x100v and buy a xpro3 however there hard to find now too
I thought everyone was going for one of the sony a6000 variants.
Just picked a X-Pro 2 and I love the images. But I want to know why no one is talking about the awful battery life. I came from Sony so maybe that’s why
Fuji uses small batteries until the XT4. Buy some 2nd party batteries. They are cheap.
Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
Only thing that can come close to Fuji's film sims are the Ricoh GR camera's
Beautiful photos. I definitely prefer the X-Pro 2 over the 3 as do a lot of people. But I do like what Fuji was trying to accomplish with the 3. I feel they should have made the screen be able to completely flip around
Why does everyone on RUclips have misleading video titles? Is this statement true?
New drinking game: take a drink every time he says "For me / To me" 😂
Very important qualifications. No one should deign to speak for others in this context.
My sub monitor and lcd died 2 times on my xpro3 in 2.5 years now im done with this camera.
Instagram and tiktok are full of "influencers" showing picture of themselve wearing the x100v, but no actual photos taken with the camera 🤣🤣🤣
Because of all these videos on you tube . Lenses are to expensive for me I just sold my XE3
I never see Fuji anywhere on the streets. Lots of other brands, but not Fuji.
I didn't!
nice thubmnail haha
Mr Carlo haha
I’m wondering how Fuji are coping with everyone buying one.
