    What is funny is I got XPro3 exactly for recreational use, coming from film it's a beast, regarding reliability I disagree, mine is 20K pictures taken and still works well, although I don't use LCD in most of the time

    I love my X-Pro 3 and mine is mainly paired with the Voigtlander NOKTON 35mm/0.9. I’ve personally used it on many portrait shoots and at events, weddings and concerts as well and the camera has been rock solid for me.

    Love seeing this kind of content. I've been shooting with the Xpro3 for a little over a 9 months now with the voigtlander 35mm f1.4 and I would be lying if I said that the honeymoon phase ended. This camera keeps me enchanted with photography. Also allows us to shoot more like a film camera without the cost of purchasing and developing film.

      Very well said! 100% agree - thoughts on the voigtlander??

    • @fuzz-head
      @fuzz-head 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Jay_DuckerThank you!
      With regard to the voigtlander, i’m absolutely in love with it. I suffered from gear acquisition syndrome when it came to lenses, and tried so many that ended up being sold until i got my hands on the voigtlander. I’ve never looked back at any other lens. It’s sharp, but not clinically so and offers a good amount of character. Combining this with an Ilford film simulation, in my case, has been the most fun i’ve had shooting digital photography. I cannot recommend it enough!
      I would recommend getting the Leica M-Mount variant and adapt it onto the fuji, that way when you eventually get your hands on a leica, as is the fate of many of us, you’ll have a lens ready and waiting!

    This is a 5 year old camera at this point, priced like it's new cutting edge technology. There's no defensible case to make for buying this over the much superior and cheaper X-T5...unless the prime imperative is rangefinder aesthetics. The X-T5 is a far far better and much newer camera, for less.

    • @Pfuetzenspringer
      @Pfuetzenspringer 5 месяцев назад +2

      You are absolutely right! It was expensive 4 years ago and is now wayyy overpriced for the technology it delivers in comparison.
      But…. ;-) you know.

      I’d love to find a friend who owns one so I could hold it, check the rangefinder style and see what all the fuss is about. I’m also glad that I don’t know anyone who has one since I may end up having to have one if I do.

    The LCD longevity issues made me return my XP3. The OVF is also very had to trust for autofocus, which had me looking at the screen quite frequently. If the price was lower, I would reconsider it. It felt like a bad compromise between a true rangefinder and a mirrorless camera. With my Leica MP, focus is almost guaranteed. It felt difficult to get that guarantee with the XP3 in OVF mode.
    I'm looking forward to see what they do with the XP4 though. I have an XH2 and XH2S, so I am still excited about anything Fuji.

    • @Jay_Ducker
      @Jay_Ducker  10 месяцев назад

      Thank for sharing - I've had similar issues missing focus with the OVF which is why I don't use it for professional work. It is expensive but an exciting camera to have. Looking forward to the XP4

    Love my Xpro3! Have several of the f2 primes and they are all great, still experimenting with different focal lengths and film sims. For some reason i choose this camera over my Olympus and Leica 90% of the time. It’s probably the aesthetics and simplicity with the design but also the versatility and fun with the film sims. Whatever reason; having a camera you love makes you want to go out and shoot more pictures and that’s the main point when enjoying your passion ❤️‍🔥

    I overcame my GAS and avoided the X-Pro3 when it came out. I'm pretty sure it's a great camera, but as a committed enthusiast I saw nothing that made it more attractive than my existing XP2 (apart from the ability to hide the back screen - love that).
    If the 4 isn't over complicated then I'll maybe go in for one of those. Hopefully Fuji are holding back on it because they KNOW they have to get it right!

    Thanks for being so honest about potential issues with the camera. I had my viewfinder break on my pro2 and my XT4 had to send back twice.

    That battery is fine, I'm always amazed how long you can keep shooting with it. It's more efficient than a X-T1 or X-H1 (topdisplay). Professional work has also possible. I hate those, 'it's my hobby/holiday camera' statements.

  • @eagleeyephoto8715
    @eagleeyephoto8715 4 месяца назад

    Not sure what are you doing with camera but I get 1100 photo on a single battery charge. Ofcourse I never plug in any charger via USB port since port is never meant for battery recharge ( unfortunately all camera producers pushing this idea cause it is cheaper for them to not include proper charger)

    Ironic that this is/was Fujis flagship line...which has the word Pro in the name, yet you can't seem to clearly verbalize why it isn't good for professional work.

    I bought my X-Pro3 5 months ago.
    I was using a LUMIX GX9 for my street photography and that’s a fine camera (and only £500 new) but I coveted the X-Pro3 and then I saw a Dura Silver version for a very good price on line (reputable camera store) and so I bought it and then got a used 23mm f2.0.
    I have been very happy with it although the fragility of the electronics ribbon (to the Screen) is concerning, I have never folded the screen all the way down and now I pretty much avoid folding the screen down at all (I use the EVF for everything).
    Mine did suffer with the (other) problem of the shutter button becoming sticky (will it fire once, twice or not at all) but I managed to (science the shit out of the issue) Fix that and the shutter release has been good as new for the last 2 months.
    I also bought The Travelling Artisan (TT Artisan) 27mm AF lens and that’s a sweet lens for the money and now I have just taken delivery of TT Artisan 35mm f1.8 AF

    I think the XPro line is for us few that are as passionate about photography as a whole. Where the Process is adding more personal value to the Keepers. More of I did not take this photo I created this photo. Or at least that is how I feel. I grab my xt5 when I want to get this photo, and my XPro 2 when I want to create a photo. Let blow the comments up with this.
