Great honest review on the 2 cameras. I had the V months ago and just got the XE4, I was shocked by how much I like it, It's cheaper, can change lenses and its very compact. I knew about the smaller EVF but tbh I wear glasses and I haven't even noticed much of a difference when shooting.
Smaller profile, built in ND, leaf shutter, weather resistance, flash, more func controls, larger viewfinder, and OVF are worth a heck of a lot more than the $100 difference in price. Still I want an X-E4.
Thank you for all of these vids. Currently people are price gouging the x100v to the point of $1800+ I had one on order for $1600 and they failed to mention it didn’t come with a battery…. So I canceled and bought the exact x-e4 setup you had there. Very excited, going to Italy in 2 weeks!
I think fuji likes to use the X-e line to test out changes that may come down the line on other products.. like the xe3 was the first to get bluetooth, that later showed up on other cameras with a much improved experience. so the button layout maybe something they are playing with to see what works in the real world. Good video!

It has a drive mode button and and has a Fn button I use for ISO. You then have focus modes on one of the LCD swipes which is annoying but not the end of the world.
Hey Eric! What are your experiences with the TCL? Does it give you enough background separation for portrait usage? It looks kind of big too, how does the balance feel? I'm pretty used to the form factor as well as the bokeh of a 35mm film SLR with a 50/1.8 for reference.

You were talking about the button placement and we're confused why the designers hadn't put play button in the same place as on the X100V...well, one reason could be that it has allowed he joystick to be moved away from the bad place it's in, on the X100V (where my thumb kept landing on; moving the focal point off, until I bought a thumb rest) and has allowed the X-E4’s joystick to move out of the way...
Nice review Benj. I'm a Canon R6 user for Pro work but I adore my old and battered Fuji X100T (chomping to get the V) That Fuji 100 system teaches you a lot and is pretty small and compact too. I never thought of myself as a one lens one body type photographer but it works for me and would highly recommend it, simplifies the process. Cheers from Ireland.
Darn, the x-e4 was looking pretty good at first but the lack of some buttons is going to have me holding onto my x-100T for a little while longer until they improve that.
If one limits the X-E4 options to the f/2 Fujicrons, probably best to remember you have two additional FL options on the X100V also through lens adapters.
Great summary! What a tough choice - amazing that fuji is offering so many options with their great image quality in different bodies so we really can choose what we need rather than be tied in to a certain body to get a certain sensor.
Fantastic video man, you covered all the important differences very well. As someone who has wanted to upgrade from the X100 F to the V for a while now the XE-4 release did make me want to see a comparison video and your video certainly helps me in my decision making to upgrade to the V. I think the EX-4 is a great secondary camera like you said for weddings which I am considering but I am more tempted to lash out on a second XT3 or more likely the XPRO3.
Portland: rain. X100V it is if choosing between the two for use here. That being said, the X-E4 and 27mm V.2 would be a pocketable street monster on better weather days.
I believe that the X100V can already be used as a webcam via an HDMI capture card (which is better quality and control than the Fuji webcam software). I personally am leaning towards the X100V for the quieter shutter and the built-in ND (and soon a firmware update to enable the built-in ND for video).
That's what tickles me. Talking about edc cameras and not a squeak about the most important part of photography - the images these two cameras produce.
Great comparison! I learn somethings about the 100V that I might not have given the comparison. BTW, what camera straps are you using with the PD clips? Thanks!
Fujifilm will add X Webcam support for the X100V in a firmware update coming late february. I love my X100V, but I'm really tempted to add the X-E4. Pairing it with the 16mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/2 will make it a great dual camera setup together with the X100V.
Great video Benj. Very informative. I would had the addition of the internal ND filter in the X100V that is now accessible in Video mode as well is HUGE!!!! Finally!!!
Did you have a chance to compare the tracking autofocus function? I own x100v and I found it not that good when it comes to tracing autofocus (small square tracing functionality)
Benj, your videos have been really helpful in my move to Fuji. I have been using canon for many years & wanted something more convenient for everyday / casual use. Decided on Fuji for the colour simulations as i want to spend the least amount of time on a computer in post and went for X100v. I added a WCL-X100ii last month and now very happy with platform, digital 35 & 55mm crop + wide lens options. I looked long and hard at xpro3 but concluded i would wait until xpro4 before deciding if i want to invest heavily. My main problem is now wanting to hire & trial Leica...... ;)
A wise move to make holding off on the XPRO. I have no crystal ball. My guess is you will get the new 40MP sensor BSI? I am hoping for IBIS. Then watch out! Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
I get the sense that a lot of shooters have never shot a camera that TRULY gets out of their way so they can focus on creating. Most of what I've seen said about the XE4 is like getting ANY new camera --> the "new camera blues". I also think that "you get used to it", and then it's your new normal. Then shortly after that you wonder how you ever survived your entire life w/out having an XE4. :) I take my GRii out a lot for the simple reason that it's less "in my way" than my A7iii and A6500. My prediction is... history will rate the XE4 much higher than it's being rated today. (someone screenshot that so they can call me out later). LOL I think another issue is people "thinking" the that XE4 is the "new XE3" and that's totally gonna lead to disappointment. But I think Fuji's is the blame for this because of the naming convention used. As far as "less functional" controls than the x100v I disagree. The xe4 is just designed to be shot differently. I also find it interesting that Fuji users say they want something more like Leica but as soon as you reduce the physical buttons people lose their minds. If you set your camera up to win you lose nothing functionally between the 2. You will outgrow the x100v if you ever wake up and don't want to use a teleconverter (every added piece of glass you put between the subject and the sensor degrades quality). If that happens you have to buy a new body. If you outgrow the xe4 you're only a lens purchase away not a new body. The Xe4 is future-proof in that way. :) IG: freshouttafocus
Appreciate the input! I do wish the X-E4 had a few more consistent controls to how things are placed on the X100V when I use them together, but oh well. Still a fantastic little camera.
@@benjhaisch oh. I forgot to say. You absolutely KILLED this presentation and explanation for those on the fence. Bravo!! I should've lead with that! Subscribed!
Nice Benji! I own the Olympus OMD EM1 Mk II with a handful of primes and the the wonderful Pro 12-40mm f/2.8 (24-80 equivalent). I also have the Panny/Leica LX-100 Mk I,which I love. Just ordered the Fuji X-E4 as I wanted a world class travel/street camera. Deliberated between the X100V and the X-E4. Love the X100V viewfinder, ND filter, leaf shutter and 23mm lens, but ultimately the lens interchangeability, ability to use OIS lenses, slightly more flexible video won out for me. I ordered it in silver kit with the 23mm f/2.8 pancake. Also picked up the nice 18-55 f/2.8-4.0 WR OIS lens for all around shooting. Wanted to ask you where you got your nice camera straps
How does the build quality compare? The feel. I remember being a little disappointed when I first picked up the xt20. Just tapping on it, it felt a little plasticky and toy like compared to my x100t.
Thank you for this comparison. This is my first camera so still looking around. I’m enjoying some of your other videos too. Unrelated question… what shirt are you wearing in this video?
Really considering using your link to get that X100V sometime in the next week - had the F and loved it, but I’ve been so torn between the X-E4 and this as the 56mm f1.2 is the greatest lens I have ever shot with in my life - even though I no longer use Fuji as my main system anymore and have been through the ringer with flagship cameras from Sony, Canon, and now Nikon…that lens will always create magic for me. So I’m genuinely torn
I mean, the most fun version would be both the X-E4 with the 56/1.2 and the X100V 😂 But if it’s a one camera thing, you could do the X-E4 with the 23/2 + 56/1.2 and have a pretty killer kit.
@@benjhaisch haha you’re so right 😂 if only my pockets were that fat. That is true, I’m just wondering if the XE-4 body itself wouldn’t inspire me like the X100 series did. Or if the pretty big 56mm mounted on the front would take away from its daily driver ability, lugging around my Nikon Z6ii with an adapter, and heavy Sigma lens doesn’t do very well for just a quick pop in to a coffee shop. If you could only choose one, what would you do? I also watched your video on the X100V as a travel camera, and I think I’m 60/40 leaning towards it because at this point it’s the compactness and fun of the X100V vs the image and versatility of basically the 56mm 😂 whatever you decide, I’ll use your link to order
No doubt that the XE-4 is receiving a reinvigorated boost in sales in light of the X100V being almost unobtainable at the moment. EVF comparison aside, the XE-4 really is the better buy if you want to explore either end of the focal length spectrum, the 23mm f2 length comparison here does no wrong, but I sold my copy because it was a bit of a Golden Retriever- perfectly nice, suitable and....meh. Go wider or longer I say..
Absolutely. It has all of the features of the higher end cameras at a fraction of the price while keeping a tiny form factor. You’ll get some upgrades by getting an X-T4 or X-Pro3, but depending on what you’re using this for, they may or may not be needed.
Are you serious? I've been waiting for this since launch day! I really hope they fix the android app function too. It only works 10% of the time (remote view finder, auto transfer photos.)
Hi! New to Fuji - I’ve been considering the x100v for a while and right when I was about to pull the trigger, Fuji dropped the x-e4. One aspect that I’m super excited about is the built in film presets. I have read that on other Fuji cameras you can save custom presets (outside of the built in).... is this also the case for the x- e4? I haven’t been able to find anything on that subject!
@Annie If custom recipes is a primary concern, then the X-E4 is the one for you. While previous models can save custom settings there are some limitations in the firmware, mainly not being able to save White Balance shifts as part of the custom setting. This is can be quite a frustrating limitation and the later cameras such as the X-E4 fix it. The additional film simulations and improvements of saving custom recipes It is one of the reasons I am upgrading my X-E3 to the X-E4. As well as better Autofocus etc. of course. Fuji X Weekly is the place to start for custom settings, for the X-E4 you will choose the X-Trans IV ones.
@@fredbloggs545 awesome, thank you! You answered my question perfectly. Good to know there have been some updates. And thank you so much for the tip about where to go for custom settings. Can’t wait until it comes in!
I have the x100V i love it although not tested in rain as such yet - i just wonder how the case itself would hold up to the rainy conditions i mean the leather type look cAsing
Superb video, clearly explained the strengths & differences! BTW, do you think the S10 makes a better buy as an all rounder for casual photography and content creation?
Hey, I think if you're considering doing any mobile video work, then yes because of the IBIS in the S10, if you're only doing video on a tripod though, they basically end up being the same camera. Sort of just depends on what you prefer in terms of ergonomics and if you want/need that IBIS.
Thanks for a great review! I'm wanting a one camera kit, so I'm just waiting for image stabilization in the x100 line, then I will get it. I gather they can't do that with a firmware upgrade, so I will probably have to wait for the next model.
Fuji have no reason to do that, it’s not the purpose of this line of cameras. Also, if IBIS doesn’t fit in the xe and xt line I don’t know how it would in an X100. I’m not the most steady shooter and honestly I never felt like my x100v needed stabilization.
The X-S10 has the same image quality but adds IBIS making it the clear winner over the X-E4. The X100V is also made from Unobtanium, hence only obtainable on Pandora.
What camera straps are you using in this video? Thanks. Both nice cameras. Thinking to switch to Fuji from Olympus. Still don't know which camera though.
You didn't talk about the built-in neutral density filter in the X100 series cameras. I have it on the custom function button and use it all the time. One big reason I keep buying X100's.
Awesome video Benj! I'm in a struggle... If money was no issue, would you choose either a X-E4 vs. X-T30 vs. X100V for multi purpose photography? (i'll be shooting with a 30-50mm lens, street/landscapes). Cheers!
I mean, if money was no issue, I’d probably get an X-Pro3 or an X-T4 ;) That being said, if you want the 50mm perspective, I’d avoid the X100V and then you’re basically choosing ergonomics between the X-T30 and X-E4.
E4 needs Fuji's expensive grip which then makes the same price as the V. As a glasses wearer I'm surprised you didn't mention the recessed and much poorer resolution eyepiece. Supposedly it's even poor for non glasses wearers. It may have interchangeable lenses and a selfie screen but it loses so much over the V. This sort of complex screen mechanism is an accident waiting to happen. Not one of Fuji's best efforts. Not so bad for owners who already have lenses.
For me, I do like my X-E3 so much and this updated X-E4 is very disappointed. I don't know why they didn't just make the body of X100V in interchangeable lens series that will be awesome.
Great video! Thanks for the comprehensive comparison. But may I ask whether x100v has only leaf shutter or also has the normal shutter sound like xe4? The xe4 shutter sounds really nice
@@benjhaisch The point is that it is perfectly possibly to have the X-E similar in size to the X100V when choosing the ILC. 23mm vs. 27mm is up to the user. I could equally argue, what if you don't want the 23mm f2.
@@benjhaisch the 5mm difference matters to some, not to others. In fact, some ppl may prefer the roughly 40mm full frame equivalent field of view of the 27mm, particularly for street. It's worth mentioning, particularly considering the whole marketing push of this camera along with that pancake lens. Not sure you can just not mention that lens and talk about size issues between the two cameras...
@@floetic " In fact, some ppl may prefer the roughly 40mm full frame equivalent field of view of the 27mm" Correct, I didn't get along with the 23mm on the X100T. On discovering the 27mm I immediately swapped to the X-E3/27 combo since my primary aim was compactness in the Fujifilm system. Since the X-E4 is being sold with the 27mm it is odd not compare relative sizes of these two EDC cameras.
I saw this video pop up in my YT queue and as I opened it to watch, I wondered why I hadn't subscribed to it yet. Now I know why. Talking ad nauseam about the features but not a word about the quality of the images each produced. Incredulous.
Like I mentioned in the other comment thread, the image quality produced is identical as they both share the same sensor. No need to compare something to itself.
I thought the X100V shares the XT3 sensor, not the XT4? I think I'm in for the new XE4/new 27mm combo. I was already contemplating adding a used XE3. I think it's just too hard of a deal to pass up.
@@benjhaisch I'm asking you! I am honestly not sure! I sprung for the XT4 only because I knew I wanted ibis. But I *think* I remember reading the XT3/4 share the same sensor.
If ill be shooting at a concert, low light-ish and id need a bit of zooming. My Iphone did a horrible job last time. Would you recommend the XE4 with the 27mm pancake or the X100v? I'm very new to photography and If im not mistaken the 35mm on the x100v should be able to capture further subjects than the 27mm? I'm really looking for a compact one, and the 35mm on the xe4 is a bit big for me. So in short im looking for a compact camera for concerts since bulky ones arent allowed. I was considering the Sony RXVII but im really digging the fuji film simulations. Thank you!
I tried to get an x100v but its out stock and for some time, so i went for the xe4, im not too concerned about the lack of buttons or weather proofing , i would probably set it up to what i like and keep it as it is and im not likely to take photos in the rain or whilst surfing . Just switch on and shoot. My question is though, are the picture qualities the same? I've heard fuji make very sharp sensors. You'd think the xe4 would be lesser as its much cheaper? And is there an option on the xe4 in the menu to do silent shooting?
they have the same exact sensor so image quality is the same. also, if you switch to electronic shutter and turn off the electronic sound you will have a silent shutter. that’s exactly what i do.
I’m a photographer that does wedding portraits and freelance work. But I want a nice EDC camera that I’m not fiddling with too much and not making every shot a photoshoot aka changin lenses and such. Currently can purchase an x100v at a higher price than msrp. Doesn’t bother me too much but I just wanna make the right choice. Already own a 5D mark IV with a 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8 and 35mm 1.4. So I don’t need the whole switching lens thing just wanna go outside with a cam and shoot. So should I pull the trigger or wait for a newer one ?
Would love to know as far as feel if the x100v feels nicer? Or do they both feel the same as far as the body. Currently own the xpro2 and leaning towards the x100v, but the xe4 is tempting
The X-E4 is going to be much more versatile. But if you want just an easy to bring camera on hikes, the X100V might be the better bet with it’s weather sealing
XE4 should be the 110V...but with posibility for more lenses and image stabilisation. Dont understand why they did not do that....otherwise it would be the perfect camera
So, the Xe4 has the better screen, better video options, and interchangeable lenses, but the x100v has ever so slightly better ergonomics, is weather sealed, better viewfinder.... Wish there was an option that combined the pro's of both (while remaining more compact than the xt4). Maybe I must wait for the Xe5?
@@benjhaisch honestly, quite tempting, but I feel that's "a little much" already. I've got a high end apsc DSLR with a few lenses, and been thinking if I should get the x100v as secondary/everyday carry, or maybe get a pancake for my DSLR - also consider moving all over to a xt4 (would also allow me to shoot "proper" video), but with 2-3 lenses that'd be way more expensive than I can justify atm

If this was a beauty pageant of cameras. The x100v would take the prize.
The X-E4 looks interesting, but for me my X100V with it's OVF, leaf shutter and ND filter make it for me... Plus it's so damn sexy!!!
Portland: rain. X100V it is if choosing between the two for use here. That being said, the X-E4 and 27mm V.2 would be a pocketable street monster on better weather days.
This. Shot mine in the rain yesterday for an hour with no issues
Also in Portland, also rocking the x100v. Best camera I've ever owned!
The x100v 23mm lens is so much sharper than Fuji’s interchangeable 23mm f2 lens. That’s a fact!
I believe that the X100V can already be used as a webcam via an HDMI capture card (which is better quality and control than the Fuji webcam software). I personally am leaning towards the X100V for the quieter shutter and the built-in ND (and soon a firmware update to enable the built-in ND for video).
I know this is a camera gear channel but please show a couple of photos or your experience comparing this two cameras in real life situations🙏🙏🙏
I have specific videos with both cameras where you can see more specifically:)
showing photos doesn't accomplish Anything.
That's what tickles me. Talking about edc cameras and not a squeak about the most important part of photography - the images these two cameras produce.
The sensor is identical between the two?
I own a x100v and just pre ordered the xe4. I'll still keep my x100v, but I'm looking forward to the xe4.
How have you found the two cameras over the past year?
Great comparison! I learn somethings about the 100V that I might not have given the comparison. BTW, what camera straps are you using with the PD clips? Thanks!
The X-E4 viewfinder (EVF) magnification is 0.62x (in 35mm equiv)
The X100V OVF is 0.52x, EVF is 0.66x
thank you so much, this is literally the first video with useful informations about these two cameras in comparison.
But, I want both 🥲
Lol, great video brother.
i have the 100v, never looked back
The kit with the 27mm at $1050 is going to be a steal.
Finally!!!
It is! Wasn’t available at the time of filming, but it’s a great addition
amazing video, cant wait to get that x-e4
Appreciate it, Vuh! 🙌🏼
Did you end up getting it? How is it? Unfortunately, they're hard to find these days.
My main problem is now wanting to hire & trial Leica...... ;)
\
A wise move to make holding off on the XPRO.
I have no crystal ball. My guess is you will get the new 40MP sensor BSI? I am hoping for IBIS. Then watch out!

Thanks! I managed to decide to get the X100v cause of your video.
Dude, your content makes me wonder if you’re READING MY MIND!!! Currently weighing the pros/cons of these 2 cameras. Soon, one shall be mine
LOL
I think another issue is people "thinking" the that XE4 is the "new XE3" and that's totally gonna lead to disappointment.
Subscribed!
Thank you!
If you're going to compare size, then take the lens hoods off both cameras.
...and show the X-E4 with both the 23mm f2 and the 27mm f2.8 pancake on it. I much prefer the 27mm focal length.
The X-E4 is very well made and feels more sturdy and solid as one might think. Go for it!
Thank you for this comparison. This is my first camera so still looking around. I’m enjoying some of your other videos too. Unrelated question… what shirt are you wearing in this video?
haha I'm pretty sure it's an old jacket I got from Target forever ago
Really considering using your link to get that X100V sometime in the next week - had the F and loved it, but I’ve been so torn between the X-E4 and this as the 56mm f1.2 is the greatest lens I have ever shot with in my life - even though I no longer use Fuji as my main system anymore and have been through the ringer with flagship cameras from Sony, Canon, and now Nikon…that lens will always create magic for me. So I’m genuinely torn
I mean, the most fun version would be both the X-E4 with the 56/1.2 and the X100V 😂
But if it’s a one camera thing, you could do the X-E4 with the 23/2 + 56/1.2 and have a pretty killer kit.
If it was earlier available, I would go without hesitation for the X100V. It would complete my X-T1.
So when do you finally switch from your Leicas and use two X-Pro3s? ;)
I’ll reevaluate when the X-Pro4 comes out 😉
sorry if i missed it, but does the XE4 have the same film character that everyone is raving about with the 100V?
Yep!
Brilliantly informing video. Still undecided which to buy, but much better informed ….. thanks Ben.
Do you think this is a good camera for a starting professional photographer?
You Made me fall in love With the X-E4 ;)
It most definitely would be, I owned the X-E3 and I loved it!
Absolutely. It has all of the features of the higher end cameras at a fraction of the price while keeping a tiny form factor. You’ll get some upgrades by getting an X-T4 or X-Pro3, but depending on what you’re using this for, they may or may not be needed.
X100v getting webcam support and the ability to use ND filter in video! Woohoo!
So stoked!
Are you serious? I've been waiting for this since launch day! I really hope they fix the android app function too. It only works 10% of the time (remote view finder, auto transfer photos.)
Thanks for the excellent video! Helped to make my decision. Keep going!
Hey yeah, Annie! All of the same film simulations seem to be acting the same on the X-E4 as the X100V so you should be good there :)
@@benjhaisch thank you!
@Annie
If custom recipes is a primary concern, then the X-E4 is the one for you.
Hi Benj. Would it be a stupid idea to do travel/landscape photography with the XE-4 using a wide manual Leica lens on it?
Thanks for a great review! I'm wanting a one camera kit, so I'm just waiting for image stabilization in the x100 line, then I will get it. I gather they can't do that with a firmware upgrade, so I will probably have to wait for the next model.
You will have a long wait, Fujifilm can't fit their IBIS into such a small body. If you aren't doing video you don't need IBIS anyway.
Fuji have no reason to do that, it’s not the purpose of this line of cameras. Also, if IBIS doesn’t fit in the xe and xt line I don’t know how it would in an X100. I’m not the most steady shooter and honestly I never felt like my x100v needed stabilization.
thanks for sharing, really a greatest comparison video for these two! helps a lot
The X-S10 has the same image quality but adds IBIS making it the clear winner over the X-E4. The X100V is also made from Unobtanium, hence only obtainable on Pandora.
Excellent comparison - thank you very much for this vide
6:20 Damn I just noticed where the sensor is on the X100V. So that's how they made the lens so compact. The more you know!
What camera straps are you using in this video? Thanks. Both nice cameras. Thinking to switch to Fuji from Olympus. Still don't know which camera though.
Great video! I think I’ll go for x100v. My ocd ass is triggered by your leather straps always in the way 😅 I so wanted to take them off 😂
I’m after a second camera to go with my x pro 3 and the xe4 sound great as I have a number of lenses already.
Cheers!
I mean, if money was no issue, I’d probably get an X-Pro3 or an X-T4 ;)
That being said, if you want the 50mm perspective, I’d avoid the X100V and then you’re basically choosing ergonomics between the X-T30 and X-E4.
Do you have the chestnut or english tan leather straps? I love the way yours look 👍🏼
Now I don't know what to pick, one of these two or the Rebel T8i
Very nice video. How would you compare the build quality between the two cameras?
Great video. What camera straps are you using?
benjhais.ch/clever they’re great! I have a discount code in the description as well if you want 🙌🏼
Bc U wouldnt have a reason to buy both
Great video! Thanks for the comprehensive comparison. But may I ask whether x100v has only leaf shutter or also has the normal shutter sound like xe4? The xe4 shutter sounds really nice
Only the leaf shutter
@@benjhaisch okay. Thanks for the reply. 😃
The 27mm pancake lens (which can also come kitted with the x-e4) negates your whole section about size issues between the two.
Unless you don’t want that pancake lens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@benjhaisch
The point is that it is perfectly possibly to have the X-E similar in size to the X100V when choosing the ILC.
@@floetic sure that’s makes sense.

" In fact, some ppl may prefer the roughly 40mm full frame equivalent field of view of the 27mm"
Correct, I didn't get along with the 23mm on the X100T. On discovering the 27mm I immediately swapped to the X-E3/27 combo since my primary aim was compactness in the Fujifilm system. Since the X-E4 is being sold with the 27mm it is odd not compare relative sizes of these two EDC cameras.
Hi Benj . How do you find the eye relief on the viewfinder as a specs wearer? Cheers.
Cool video! Really luv the camera straps...where are they from? Cheers

@@benjhaisch Thank you 👌
I saw this video pop up in my YT queue and as I opened it to watch, I wondered why I hadn't subscribed to it yet.
The XT3 and XT4 actually share the same sensor, right?
@@benjhaisch I'm asking you! I am honestly not sure! I sprung for the XT4 only because I knew I wanted ibis. But I *think* I remember reading the XT3/4 share the same sensor.
@@milktoastgregg yeah, I’m no Fujifilm expert, but I think that’s the case. I thought the difference was the ergonomics and IBIS changes
Thank you!
the x-e4 can use the much shorter 27mm lens making the two about the same size at the x100v
Thanks for the great overview and comparison!
These cameras are really neat, I like the film camera style controls. Benj, what drew you to Fuji over other brands or SLR style cameras?
The X100V probably feels about 10% better or so. Slightly more but it’s not a massive difference
I dont know what the xe4 feels like obviously but I can tell you that the x100v feels premium. Really feels so good in your hands with looks to match
Best advice so Far !
Thank you so much for the information Benj! Just got a question, if I want to use them for landscape photography, which would be better?
The X-E4 is going to be much more versatile. But if you want just an easy to bring camera on hikes, the X100V might be the better bet with it’s weather sealing
@@benjhaisch thanks!
Benj - I struggle with the AF on this camera. It’s really unreliable. Do you have issues with it?
Who makes those straps Ben?
excellent video. solved my problems
XE4 should be the 110V...but with posibility for more lenses and image stabilisation. Dont understand why they did not do that....otherwise it would be the perfect camera
Great Compo vid, thkz Ben
So, the Xe4 has the better screen, better video options, and interchangeable lenses, but the x100v has ever so slightly better ergonomics, is weather sealed, better viewfinder.... Wish there was an option that combined the pro's of both (while remaining more compact than the xt4). Maybe I must wait for the Xe5?
X-S10?
@@benjhaisch honestly, quite tempting, but I feel that's "a little much" already. I've got a high end apsc DSLR with a few lenses, and been thinking if I should get the x100v as secondary/everyday carry, or maybe get a pancake for my DSLR - also consider moving all over to a xt4 (would also allow me to shoot "proper" video), but with 2-3 lenses that'd be way more expensive than I can justify atm
Sadly you dont get ibis on the xe4
Love the straps what are they?
