    My fuse box is not laid out the same way it seems. I noticed there is a 15 fuse being used. Does that need to match what the fuse box diagram (on the cover) says each port is?

      Danny Udina hey Danny, this particular color changing brand isn't out yet, we showed it as a general installation video. The color changing headlights that are on the market hook up very similar to this. These hook up via Bluetooth. We've found that newer Jeeps don't need the anti flicker, but some have. We sell them on our website. Check us out!

    I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or if defective. I have the RGB halos. I used the H13 adapter and also tapped into the signal lights. The headlights work great and also signal as required. I then plugged the cables that go from the Bluetooth module to each headlight. And the connected the red to positive and black to negative on battery posts. As soon as I plug in the halo cables, they light up and circle through various colors, non stop. I connected the app successfully but I could not control or do anything. The halo just keeps cycling through colors even if I turn engine on or put it in drive. Can anyone help?

    Hi guys I just got these lights in today from y'all. After I plug in and turn on the lights and install the BLEDim app, will the app pick up the headlights automatically via bluetooth?

    • @altitudejeep3846
      @altitudejeep3846  7 лет назад

      David Sullivan hey David, yes scan the QR code to download the correct app. Make sure lights are installed correctly, then Bluetooth on and open the app. Make sure you are standing in front of your grill and turn the jeep on as well as the app and make sure Bluetooth is on and on discoverable. They should auto connect and say "successful connection". If not, click the upper left spy glass to find the device, then select the device and connect!

      They bluetooth never worked and the lights didn't line up on the housing. Also they flickered a lot even with the anti flicker harnesses. Not y'alls fault, just a set of defective lights.

    If your jeep already has DRLs, where do they get wired in?

    • @altitudejeep3846
      @altitudejeep3846  7 лет назад

      Ben Bourcier Is yours a 2017? It should hook up just the same, if not you would hook them up to a powered fuse that's activated when your Jeep is turned. A lot of customers use the brake light fuse.

    • @terrypete
      @terrypete 7 лет назад

      Altitude Jeep it's a 2010..the drls specific wire on the new lights isn't hooked up to anything, but I do get daytime running lights as soon as I put the hand brake down, but they are super bright and flicker

    • @altitudejeep3846
      @altitudejeep3846  7 лет назад

      Ben Bourcier follow the instructions on the video. The DRL wire should be hooked up to either the accessory fuse or via a fuse tap how we show. If you're lights are flickering you need an anti flicker harness. You can get one here: www.altitudejeep.com/products/h4-to-h13-anti-flicker-decoder-harness-2x

    • @terrypete
      @terrypete 7 лет назад

      Canadian Jeeps have DRLs stock, which sends half power to the headlights when you disengage the parking brake. This causes the flicker while they are on, despite an anti-flicker harness or not (I have one installed BTW) High/Low beams do not flicker, and the DRLs come on whether or not you run the DRL wire on the new lights to a fuse tap or not. Does that make sense now? So the only option for Canadian Jeeps wanting LEDs like this, is to buy a programmer which will allow you to disable factory DRLs, then run the DRLs from new lights to fuse tap like you show in video.

    • @altitudejeep3846
      @altitudejeep3846  7 лет назад

      Is there a way you can disengage your stock DRLs? Or are they on all the time? You can also hook the DRL of your headlight to the Accessory fuse, that is another option instead of the fuse tap.

    Where i am suppose to plug the fuse tap if i have fuse in that area that has a 20 on it

    • @bgriff2517
      @bgriff2517 6 лет назад

      Brandon Alves I had the 20 in the same spot as well. It still works. I also tried a couple of the other spots next to the 20. It works where the 10 and where the 15 amp is. My only complaint with my halos is that they stay on when I turn my low beam on. My other set of halos the DRL would go out when my low beam was turned on. I may have to keep searching for the amp that allows for the DRL to go out when the low beam is on.

  • @MrAnimefox

    I wish the fuse tap was $1.50 at autozone, I just bought one, and it's $8.41 also people, look at your fuse box diagram, my 2011 acc. fuse is in a different spot. For my he put the fuse tape in the heated seat/heated steering wheel.

  • @RitchieMonroe

    Thanks, your DRL solution is so simple (slap forehead with hand and grab another beer).

  • @ingram4793
    @ingram4793 6 лет назад +1

    why didn't you just splice the DRL into the power for the blinkers? What you have done is take the water proofing of the fuse box in jeopardy by cutting a gouge out for the wire to the fuse box. No need to do that as you can tap right into the blinker hot wire (middle wire) OR if you feel the need to run into the fuse box there is actually a small hole in the bottom of the fuse box that 18 ga. wire will fit through and no need to cut fuse box.

    • @bgriff2517
      @bgriff2517 6 лет назад

      ingram4793 splicing into the blinker wire requires the headlight switch to be turned to ACC to turn on the DRL. If the DRL wire is connected to the fuse, it receives power from the point the ignition switch is on and does not require the headlight switch to be on ACC. I like my DRL to turn on the second I start my Jeep. The DRL will then go out when lights are turned on when wired like this video. When wired to the blinker the DRL stays on even when lights are on.

    • @pprotory
      @pprotory 4 года назад +1

      @@Dpix1990 Yeah wiring is one of those things that lots of people can wire something to “work” but few can actually do it right. Videos like this and millions of others is why I think most automotive videos on RUclips should just be taken for entertainment purposes and never as a how to. When I was a mechanic at a performance shop 98% of all the troubleshooting was electrical wiring work. 100% of those cases the owner always defensively said “well I watched this is vided on RUclips that everyone on X forum recommended”. As if actually was a defense.

  • @bojk13
    @bojk13 5 лет назад

    How come nobody that ever does any of these videos have the proper tools SMH. Drives me crazy. Like trim clip pliers... pretty sure you can get them almost anywhere fur around 10 bucks. Then you don't gouge and brake clips when removing them.

    Can you remove your fog lights without removing that bumper?

    • @ingram4793
      @ingram4793 6 лет назад

      Yes just pop off the plastic plate right behind the bumper and in front of the radiator. You will most likely have to drill out the 2 little screws that hold the plastic stops in place but they are easily replaced with expansion plugs and better for any future work as you can actually get them out without drilling. Once you drill out the plastic screws simply remove the old plugs and the plastic plate will come right out and you can then remove and replace the fog lamps.
