How the fuck have I been a fan since Cardboard Castles and never realized this was a thing? What a beautiful idea with wonderful implementation. I wish I was smart enough to have participated in this because I believe you’re genuinely one of the most creative artists out there and the way you interact with your community, I don’t know if anybody else is doing anything even remotely close to this.
I've been a silent listener and watcher of your work for over a decade, and although I felt a bit disappointed I didn't attempt to get into this treasure hunt, my only real regret was never seeing you live the one time I could have when you came to my hometown of Saskatoon. Your music has helped me through some tough times and although I don't listen to it all the time, it has continued to resurface every now and again and I'm always so happy when it does. You have truly created and accomplished things beyond (probably) 99% of other artists on this planet with how you've woven so many different mediums together into such elaborate, beautiful, and raw works through both your own talent but also with your many, many different collaborators. It's sad to see this video finally bringing a finality to the Watsky era for you, but I hope to see and hear what George does in the future. I don't put this lightly when I saw you're a truly one of a kind artist who seems fairly ahead of his time with his approach to his art. Much love and peace to you, George Watsky. ✌

@@Philtrip78I know I’m late to this, but I personally know the person who had to break it open. The box was waterlogged and none of the mechanisms worked anymore. I also worked on the puzzle we made for him, so in return we made a part of the puzzle where he had to smash it open to get his next clue. Sucks that it was broken, but it had to be done.
I did it!!! I smashed the box!!! Believe me, it hurt no one more than it hurt me 🙃 We spent a few hours trying to open it the correct way, but due to our group having limited time, we did what we had to. I’m happy to take the blame & be the infamous asshole who smashed the box because that meant we got to further the game 🤷🏼♀️
This was... Incredible. It was so much fun watching everyone figure things out in the FB Group and Discord. The amount of camaraderie and kindness and just pure excitement everyone showed was just absolutely contagious. George, you're a genius. ❤
Ending this with Dent in the Moon gave me goosebumps. That was the first "secret" of Watsky's I'd encountered as Cardboard Castle was my first Watsky album. What a wonderful bookend to everything.
