Old guys kicking ass never gets old.
Gran Torino (Clint Eastwood)
Beware old men in professions where most men die young.
You've got there dunebuggy!!
Now that's deep. 👍
@@robertgibson6872 its an old saying among warriors.
Those who hide and run away live longer
@@soempaing2436 That ain't living. That's the death of the soul. The surrendering of spirit. The end of manhood and the birth of cowardice and shame. Do not pity a coward. Shun and shame them at every opportunity.
I've played enough Yakuza to know this doesn't end well for the thugs.

What movies man ? Pls i need to watch some good movies
@@arnonvon The Yakuza video game series.
lmao I thought these men were going to form a new Yakuza and get young members to fight the gang. Not a bunch of old geezers patrolling the neighborhood 😂
I’m a simple man - I see Takeshi Kitano, I click like
I’d label this film genre as an outright farcical comedy. Almost a slapstick comedy in the spirit of The Three Stooges.
It's obviously got kabuki influences, not all films are intended to be gratuitously violent and that alone...the Japanese film palette is a complex one
The old school criminal group are unperfected aggressive larger than life heroic but in their younger days pure villains
I've really enjoyed watching this movie. It took me back to the old days
Takeshi Kitano is the best japan mafia movie maker.
0:28 It is not a "toy bamboo sword" it is a "bokken" and is usually made out of Japanese Oak which unlike European Oak floats in water, is moderately hard and more resilient to shocks, making it an ideal wood for manufacturing this practice weapon used in Kenjutsu and Aikido.
Bokken are safer for sparring and practice than a katana, they are still lethal weapons in the hands of trained users. A famous legend to this effect exists involves Miyamoto Musashi, a ronin known to fight fully armed foes with only one or two bokken.
I think about that Musashi legend whenever I pick up my copy of his "The Book of Five Rings".
clark you are so correct brother!
Miyamoto Musashi fashioned a long Bokken from a boat oar and beat Sasaki Kojirō to death with it. This was to prevent Sasaki's range from being an advantage in the duel since Sasaki's sword was longer and he was taller. Sasaki's students found it to be a dishonor to their teacher.
@@kacklerot Thanks for the extra information, I practiced Aikido for about 2 years when I was much younger. I have a Bokken and a Katana (modern replica) and spent some time reading about iaijutsu, kenjutsu and the history of related martial arts.
That was soon after I discovered Aikido movements are derived from sword techniques. I saw some very impressive demonstrations including a 4th Dan who trapped a live katana strike to the head with his hands, right in front of his face. The practitioner inflicting the blow didn't seem to be holding back either.
@@MissionaryForMexico Getting hit with a Bokken during practice is not a pleasant experience :-)
Just subbed, cheers, I love these kind of movies.
I appreciate this video !!!🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Always good to see Beat Takeshi get work, the man is a treasure.
But nobody should watch this movie without seeing Juzo Itami's A Taxing Woman first. The ultimate yakuza movie is an anti-yakuza movie.
Takeshi contextualizes and humanizes yakuza; Itami, murdered by those pigs, has the last word on why those pigs shouldn't exist.
It's crazy that Itami was probably murdered by the Yakuza
Is this a movie
@@punkses1591 Yes 'A Taxing Woman' is a movie about a Japanese female tax inspector who goes after a Yakuza boss. The penalties for hiding from paying taxes in Japan is no joke. Maybe even more strict than the U.S. I still have the VHS videotape of this movie that was bought like 20 years ago.
This is like the Japanese version of Cohen the Barbarian from Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld...
Cohen is a 90+ year old Barbarian Hero, an old, old man he is still absolutely deadly, he calls his gang "the Silver Horde" as none of them are under 80 years of age, but they are all death on wheels(one, Hamish, I think, LITERALLY Death on wheels!) one character explains to another that killing, rescuing maidens and winning against ridiculous odds against MUCH bigger Armies is all they've done, all their lives, and remarks that "Cohen DID get old, but only harder, like Oak"
Just like Indian movies. The law enforcement officers always appears at the end of the show when everything is settled already.
The only thing missing from this movie is the final sequence where half a dozen bikini clad models start running around the park to Benny Hill music.
My only regret is that I didn’t watch the full movie and spoiled it for myself cause this seems AMAZING
10 seconds in and i thought this was the case, coming down to the comments now. thank you for confirming. will be watching the full movie unspoiled.
Youth ALWAYS underestimates Old.
“Age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill,” I don’t remember who said this…
Everyone underestimates everyone. I've watched the old get stomped on after trying to defend themselves for doing perverted shit.
@@troubledcourier8795 I've watched the youth totally ruin their futures by placing old man Joe Biden in charge of spending...he has saddled them with more debt over his 50+ year career than they will ever be able to pay off...sucks for them....lol
@@troubledcourier8795 don't ever question youth underestimating age...age will beat youth every way to Sunday...
The theme of this movie is classic entertaining intense loyal unlikely friendship between criminal and cops with everyday family and people feel with funny and love for other people movie
Very nice, I like it.
This movie was honestly the best Japanese movie I’ve seen ever and it was wholesome and made sense!! It was great from an American stand point 💯💯
Imagine being so bad Yakuza leader that a bunch of old men gets you arrested.
I must watch this film, it looks class
“Toy bamboo sword”? Not quiet. That’s a boken. It’s wood, and it will kill you.
I just added the same comment before finding yours.
Its a training sword but it will definitely kill
Never underestimate old people.
They have live long experience in everything.
Ok, thanks to seeing this on my recommended feed, I'll need to catch this movie and you just gained a new subscriber.
Thanks
That's why you don't mess with the Yakuza and the Triads
A wooden sword is not a toy, in the hands of an expert its lethal
Tommy Smothers at the end is hilarious!
I love Beat Takeshi movies.
I love it bro ❤
Thanks
@@USRecap you're welcome
Ojisan tachi just let your deceased friend rest in peace. Why are you dragging his corpse to everywhere. This way more scary than married vow. "Until death apart us" but yakuza "Even death apart us, we still one".
The plot here becomes very complex. I’ve watched other Japanese films and they do, indeed, become much more complicated than American films.
Looks good, and funny.
This is the best video to wake up
Damn aniki has ages still good to see him acting if you know you know
This sounds like a good movie
moral lesson of the story...never mess with the best ..
This movie is classic entertaining mishaps loyal faithful brave heroic unperfected family funny life lessons action adventure
HAHAHAHA, "twice, just to be sure." hahahahaha
I gotta see this.
Looks like a Japanese version of the "Keystone Cops" ... IN REVERSE!
They’re so inept and funny to the point that it’s painful to watch
Reminds me of We Still Kill the Old Way
It makes me think of the American movie Tough Guys. Burt Lancaster, Kirk Douglas, Eli Wallach. The plot is similar, though the characters are different and more of them in this Japanese movie. Aging criminals in a modern world trying to cope with the world around them, but still hanging on to the old ways within them. They don't take crap from anyone.
8:55 Wait a minute, an American carrier? Let me guess the Enterprise.....if so, that would be the best comedy bit so far.
The gentleman playing Ryuzu reminds me a lot of Kazushi Sakuraba
Reminds me of the Japanese version of 'Original Gangsters', the Black adventure from the 90's with Pam Grier, Fred Williamson, Richard Roundtree, Ron O'Neal and a bunch of 70's Black action movie actors. Always good to see Takeshi Kitano in antyhing these days
This joke is really good: Caesar = sees her...😂😂😂😂
Thanks
good
7 old grumpy Yakuza men
This is the funniest comedy film ive ever seen
As a seasoned Yakuza I can relate to this movie.
Where can this be seen
As someone would say "fear the old where the men die young"
The plot strongly resembles the 2014 British film "We Still Kill The Old Way" about a group of former British mobsters, the Archer Gang, all now in their 70's or older, who take on a gang of younger hoodlums in their old neighborhood of London after the hoods kill the brother of the Archer gang's leader.
The British version of this movie is called "We Still Kill The Old Way" and its a great movie.
“Flies over a U.S. carrier … and is forced to land ..”. lol. And the weekend at Bernie’s with the dead guy lol.
this is even better than getting football highlights on the evening news. cliff notes for movies lol. damn... this is like a japanese soap opera lol.
First rule of being a gangster is show respect, if they don't respect you make them fear you.
I stopped at 2:58
I want to watch the whole movie now!
Edit: I mean series.
Watching from Greece.hi everybody.
Make no mistake.there's no such thing as retired yakuza member.ones a yakuza always a yakuza.
The young have no respect for others
Predictable ending, but good Lord, it was hard to follow!
Sounds like the Seven Samurai by Aki Kurasowa. They are old and want to die with honor in battle.
The entire time my head was like "WTF is going on"
Old men on the block 😂
4:38 that’s the actor who was the model for Nanba in Yakuza 7
I like how this video blinks for me.
Cool
2:31 i think this guy is in yakuza song of life?
so....... this movie is the Asian version of the expendables........
They so over the top 😂😂😂
The plot is so Japanese,
Complicated but natural
Looks like a good movie. I want to check it out, because it looks like a good story. Fictional story.
Seems it would be easier just to watch the movie. . .Thanks for the cliff notes version, but it was a bit dry.
It's because it's an AI basically reading a wiki entry
They are going to learn today...
A toy bamboo sword ? A shinai is not a toy.It is a Kendo training weapon.Do your homework before posting disrespectful content.
0:04 i heard julius ceasar
"mack fired" is not a term. You completely made that up.
It’s hilarious that the elderly Yakuza members wear old people’s clothes
What’s the movie called
Lol, in the US this would be Michael Caine, Alan Arkin, and Morgan Freeman
"Oh" like in John Wick 1
This movie looks good is it in English or Japanese with English subs
O.M.G. - Old men grooving but in Japan way 😂 !!!!
Very strange tell?
Reminds me of weekend Bernie's. 😂
The Expendables of the East 😂😂
Is the guy with the gun blind? lol
Is it just me or does the leader of the Keihin gang look like Japanese Gus Fring😅
Bummer I thought this was real life thugs attacking a real life yakuza member like you see on the DC Short videos.
Alternate title, Grumpy Old Yen.
This was like all my 6th grade book reports. I just narrated the plot.
What’s the name of this movie, please????
It's the old men from tampopo and zaroichi!!!!
How about NO?
I have played through the Yakuza series on XB and I am convinced Japan is really a bunch of dudes fighting in the streets.Turns out I am right maybe?
another good reason to respect the elderly lol
So much hench.
