I watch a lot of Procreate tutorials...a LOT. So I can confidently say that your tuts are THE best! You are a natural "teacher" - you make the content and skills easy to understand, and I always feel empowered to create after watching your lessons! Thank you!
This is about the 5th video I watch on how to make your own brushes and by far it was the most helpful! It really clicked for me. I made a heart shape star and next a kitten head star 🌟 😅 I’m thankful for your content!! ❤
This is so helpful. I’ve been trying to find ways to create brushes that glow. I’ve found tutorials that show how to make glitter brushes, but they don’t really explain the blend modes. Your tutorials are very well done, and easy to follow and understand. Thank you.
Thank you for the easy-to-understand tutorial - now I'm not so intimidated by brushes! When you can fit it in, could you please share how you add little graphics to the names of your brush sets? I think this might help me organize my brushes better! Thanks Lisa!
Oh my word! That's so helpful, thank you so much. I'm obsessed with rainbows, galaxies / space so I can see Procreate being the perfect tool - so much faster than painting on watercolour paper etc. I am looking forward to making floral watercolours too x
Thank you Lisa - I loved doing this tutorial. Your enthusiasm is wonderful and fun - it was great to create both art and brushes - your instructions are very clear. How about a tutorial for making a shooting star brush? :)
I couldn’t seem to keep it from looking like the edge of the square piece of paper on the final piece, and I did that twice two times in a row, and I watched the video through and through, and through I guess I can watch it one more time to find out what I’m doing wrong when we are creating this particular brush. I love the brush both of them by the way love them and I love the way you showed how to do a nebula that’s exactly what I’ve been trying to do for ages and just couldn’t even paint it free hand, even using all the techniques in the world that I watched you on RUclips so thank you for this but I really need to figure out how to keep it from looking each star has a straight line underneath it or around it to the sides. Wherever my brush when I was making it part of the white line was showing and so it shows here. So frustrating.
Thanks for this!! I’ve downloaded and paid for A LOT of brushes but they never seem to be quite right for what I need when I need a certain one. This looks a lot easier than I thought it was going to be!
🙏🙏🙏Ma’am y do I get the star in a square could u help me plz I tried the whole tutorial exactly as u told 10-15 times but still this is happening it always happens with me whenever I try to make a brush Tnq
I am confused on how to colour using layers and how to keep the colour within the lines and I was wondering if u could make a tutorial on it if you don't mind :)
I have two coloring page tutorials that should help: bardotbrush.com/how-to-make-a-coloring-page-in-procreate/ and bardotbrush.com/how-to-color-in-procreate-coloring-pages-in-procreate/ Using a reference layer is helpful when using color drop to color which is what I use in those videos.
I admire your talent with brushes , you seems very experienced with which brushes to use to create which kind of picture / scene / atmosphere. Could you share your experience how you become so good ? There are thousands of brushes and i have no clue what to use when i dont watch your videos.. sadly :(
Love your tutorials - they are how I have learned Procreate. I do have a question ... on this tutorial when making the new brushes when I hit shape/edit/import/paste it did not paste what I had copied. I know it was copied because I could add a layer and paste it to it. Any idea what I needed to do differently? Edited - after reading a comment below I checked the color profile on my canvas which was CMYK. When I changed to an RGB canvas the problem was solved.
Hello, your tutorial is very nice. Even though it wasn't really what i was looking for ;; I want to make a brush what randomizes color itself and makes work look somewhat rainbow But still glittery But again thank you for tutorial
I noticed you had streamline as an option in the brush settings, my iPad/procreate doesn’t have that option at all (iPad air 4th gen). Any reason why? I know when I draw it’s very shaky is this a setting I’m missing to help with my lines?
It is a great tutorial but I have two problems here. One is that when I create a brush of the star I get it on a square of slightly lighter black that background which results in a Square around each brush stroke when I eventually use it Second is that I get a stamp if a star which is double when I use a stroke. I would appreciate some advice.
I can’t seem to get the star to paste into the shape. I can do it if I save it as a jpeg and import a picture but the copy and paste just won’t work. Any advice as to what I might be doing wrong? Thanks! Edit: after much frustration, I discovered that my canvas was set to CMYK and not RGB. That was the problem. So if anyone else has this issue, learn from my mistake 😁
#BardotBrush Hi! I love your tutorials! They help me a lot! But i cant figure out when you used Gaussian blur there was an option between layer or pencil, and i cant figure out how to do that. it doesn’t have that option for me.
When I try to hit paste in the shapes section of making the brush, nothing happens. I tried going back and following your copy layers directions exactly but still nothing happens. Hmm...

Great tutorial, just like all your tuts. I always learn so much from them. You are a natural born teacher!
Wow, thank you!

Tap the name of the brush set, tap rename, then insert an emoji! 😊👍
Awesome! I've been wondering how to do this, and you just opened a whole new world for me! Thanks so much!

Same here! A whole new galaxy 🌌 for me!

This was very insightful! Could you please make a video where you show us how you create brushset thumbnail and market it?
Cool thanks for doing this.
No problem!

You bet!
is it always wise to have the DPI set at 300 for when making brushes?
Thankyou for sharing! But How to show brush sample under the titled of the brush?
If you can't see the preview, try adjusting the Preview slider under Properties in the Brush Studio settings.
i like your presentation
I appreciate that!
Hello, your tutorial is very nice. Even though it wasn't really what i was looking for ;;

Thanks Julianna, that was the problem I was having. After reading your comment I checked and changed to an RGB canvas and problem solved.
What brushes did you use for the background of the galaxy?
#BardotBrush Hi! I love your tutorials! They help me a lot! But i cant figure out when you used Gaussian blur there was an option between layer or pencil, and i cant figure out how to do that. it doesn’t have that option for me.
You might have an older version of Procreate before they introduced that feature.
@@BardotBrush is there a way to get the new version? Or do i need the newer iPads?
I can’t get my brushes to taper when drawing how can I do that?
how do I get to my brush studio? It didn't pop up.
I got it.
When I try to hit paste in the shapes section of making the brush, nothing happens. I tried going back and following your copy layers directions exactly but still nothing happens. Hmm...
💎💎💎If you hold down at the end of the line or shape, it will automatically adjust it more in line💯
Now I know what I’m spending my money on
For making awesome arts like you I should buy a ipad first which I couldn't afford my mom doesn't buy it 😞
Do you know how to make a glue gun brush?
