Editing a comment I made earlier -- Sorry if I was rude. This comment was made when I was frustrated in trying to download the free brushes. Yes, I paid $2.00 for these free brushes, but that was my choice to help support this channel, not because it was required. My problem with the download was operator error, nothing to do with the process. Once I calmed down and took a breath, everything worked well when I went back to try again. Everything is hard when trying to learn something new, especially when you are 78 years old! Love your videos and I apologize for my blowing off steam at your expense. I also appreciate the fact that you posted my comment, even though it wasn’t, very complimentary.
Gloria Daniels I’m 40 haha I feel you here. God bless fellow artist.
Gloria Daniels you’re so sweet :)
This makes me happy to read. Fuck yeah Gloria, you rock.
I wish I would be learning new things like you when I come to 78!!!
@Gloria Daniels, youre a lovely woman. ❤️
i love that his apple pencil actually looks like a pencil
....thats why its called an apple pencil 🤯🤦♀️
@@laylaplaysonlinegames6088 I think he means the skin on the pencil makes the apple pencil look more like a traditional pencil

Pencil cost 5rs
Apple Pencil costs 8000rs
Wait I though it’s a pencil 0.o
For someone just trying to get into digital art from traditional art... i find this tips to be very helpful. Many thanks!

I also tried using "syrup" brush in the ink section when I shouldvr been switching between, "studio pen" and "dry ink" for the look I want. "syrup" is a very pixelated brush
STUDIO PEN GANG
Syrup is not that pixelated
Syrup depends on your canvas size
I use syrup to erase😂
This was possibly THE MOST helpful video for me. I definitely learned valuable lessons for quality in my art. Thank you so much for making this content!
Tap Water i like using a 2160p canvas
Honestly line tools should now just auto vector so up scaling isn’t necessary. It’s such an obvious and easy fix but things like adobe illustrator make it look way more complex than it has to be. Like companies just need to create vector brush packs #its2020
Or just use Clip Studio that has exactly that and is a full Photoshop replacement for $2/mo
So procreate has the ability to add vector lines? Why haven't they?

@@erikleypoldt8275 in spite of the assertion of the original poster, I'm not convinced it _is_ all that straightforward to add vector brushes to a raster-based app.
Vector capable software is wildly difficult to create from a development standpoint, and is largely limited by hardware. It's unfortunately not as simple as just "adding a tool", it often requires a ton of restructuring behind-the-scenes, sometimes to the point of creating a whole other copy of the software. Not to say that it's impossible or that other software is neccessarily better for having it, but changing and adding tools after the fact is very difficult.
I've been painting in Procreate and these tips clarified alot of brush stroke issues I was running into!
Thank you so much! Can’t wait to create with the starter kit. I didn’t understand about the different settings for scaling and now I know which one to choose! Wonderful and very clear instructions. 🙂
Top tips, thanks - especially drawing from the shoulder!
Wow! Very informative and SUPER easy to follow! I look up so many procreate tutorials and most of them tell you the basics instead of how to tackle little details and nuances like sizing and printing. THANK YOU!
This video is a godsend!!! I was just looking at the interpolation choices this week and wondering how to find out what they meant!!! Thank you for making this video. I had been struggling with resolution as I tried to make files work across several different sizes of print supports such as paper (for greeting cards), direct to garment, and printing on phone cases, etc. It addresses several issues I have as I learn to create digital art for these various forms of printing. You are a very good teacher.
Was super intimidated by my new pad and pencil combo and hadn't dont more than scribble. This is my first go at digital painting, and this video got the juices flowing due to my distaste for most standard brushes. Now I can experiment with my own. Def subscribed and look forward to more content from you. Cheers
Thank you for being so generous !!
Wow thank you so much! I’m new to procreate and found that my lines were looking pretty jagged, luckily i came across your video and it really helped! thanks so much!!
Why am I even watching this, I don't even have an ipad
Edit: i now have the m1 ipad pro
Same 😭😭 I am so depressed because I want the iPad now !!!!!

Just what I needed!! I have been struggling this for months! Thank you so much!
Mind blown!! this is a lot of the information I've been looking for (I'm new to procreate) and you explained it so clearly! Thank you!
You can also move layers over to another file before merging and being destructive.
Thanks for the tips! I’ve spent my entire digital art career using paint tool sai, and in the past year I switched to procreate, and honestly I haven’t been drawing as much because I knew sai like the back of my hand. It’s taking me a while to get used to how lineart and coloring works in procreate.
That’s a Chinese brush technique- to draw from the shoulder, freely.
Interestingly it’s also the same for piano playing - the movement comes from the shoulder & not the wrists. It helps with the flow also.
thx for the tips, I struggle with my hand positions also
This is the best information I obtained in this video.
This is an incredible resource to have! I had that pixel-y issue and this definitely helped with that. Thank you!
Basically a Technical Pensil brush with a sharp circle. I did it a couple of months ago, because I hated the blur on the regular Technical Pencil brush. Thanks for the bicubic tip!!
Thank you for giving us a chance to better our artwork with no fees needed bless you

Really good tutorial and thank you for the brushes. I just got Procreate and I want to get started but already the default brushes aren't good enough. If I get brave enough to get in and start messing around with the settings, you seem to explain it well.
