I've been SCOWERING the internet looking for a tutorial on the Procreate Brush Studio that actually made sense, but couldn't find one... Until today! Thank you so much! (BTW, your art and lettering are amazing!)
Awesome lessons.....ILOVE MY NEW IPAD PRO.... but I really love watching videos like this. I'm 56 years old I feel like a kid again at Christmas time :-) imagining all of the great things I am about to create this year. Thanks so much for the guidance and inspiration:-) isn't procreate the best thing ever?😜
I learned handlettering on the ipad from you 4 years ago and the Perfect Drills Brush has always been my favorite. I'm in awe of you! Thanks for creating to share - I admire that so much!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🏼 Ahh yes - the Perfect Drills brush has been a fan favorite!! Have you got the updated version of it? I've amended it a bit for Procreate 5 😄🤗
Such a helpful video, I have been searching for watercolor brushes tutorials from so many days, thanks for this video. Please make some more videos like this.
I've always been curious how brushes are created, so thank you for the explanation. But, if nothing else, it has convinced me to buy your brushes already made rather than make my own :-)
I have a few of your brushes. The fancy stippling lettering is my fave. Also your free lettering brush. I have dabbled with making brushes, but haven’t gotten obsessed with it. Thanks for the video!
@@iPadLettering I decided to use it for March instead of Feb since Feb is done and looking good. I am going to have a dark background with some doodles and stickers in spring colors. Then I will do some headers with the stippling brush in white. I can add some extra dots in one or two other spring colors either using the extra stippling brush or manually. I have it all mapped out in my head and it is indeed super cute!
Will explore your brushes. But as a long-time Photoshop User, who has picked-up Procreate as it is one of the best Apps for the iPad Pro, even if it doesn’t have the built-in features of Photoshop. It still has features that allow you to duplicate many of those features. So I have been making Brushes as well, but usually by just altering an existing Brush (uploading a new Brush Template).
I'M STILL TOTALLY NEW TO IPAD & PROCREATE, SO I THINK THIS IS TOO ADVANCED FOR ME RIGHT NOW, BUT I'LL DEFINITELY KEEP THE VIDEO FOR LATER ON WHEN I HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF EXPERIENCE. I LOVE CALLIGRAPHY, SO I KNOW I'M GONNA L♡VE THIS CHANNEL.
Ok I know there’s a way to test brushes on a white background like you did but my preview is always on black- I can’t figure out how to adjust that in the brush editor 🙈 help!
Hi! This is such an informative video and I learnt so much thank you! But when creating a new brush when I select import to import a texture or something I don't get options like you show. It can only be used for the bushes I downloaded and not for like pictures. How can I get options like you? Thank you very much !
Thanks so much I’ve always wanted to make my own brushes on procreate and you explained it so nice and simple! I’ve been looking for a tutorial on how to make brushes and this helped soooooooooo much thanks agin.
Thanks for such a wonderful video! Perfect starting point for making my own brushes and loved seeing your iteration process that you showed at the end. My fav brush of yours is the letter together august watercolor brush lettering :)
Excellent, thanks. I will start to upload my logo to my brushes. How do you get your IPL brush name / image icon to appear at the side of each brush in the brush library/studio please? I use 'preview' which shows a picture of the brush on the right, but I can't work out how to get the extra information to display on the left of each brush section / folder...x
Hi Karin! I've watched this video now 3 times and created the brush 3 times with you. Mine doesn't look / behave like yours. Is there a chance we could get this brush as a freebie download, pretty please?
After clicking on Shape, you will see above the image (big white circle) the button edit. Click on that, from the you will see the import button, click on it and a menu will appear, with source library.
Is there a way to emulate a brush you see someone using? Say it's one they're selling but you don't have the money for it, but really want to have a similar brush..
When I click import It takes me to my files and doesn’t give me the option to use lit takes me to my files and doesn’t give me the option to use the source library.

Hi Karin, I love all of your videos, but is there a possible way to get procreate for free? I’m a 9-year old and obviously I don’t have any money, and my parents don’t want to waste money on ‘something that isn’t worth their time’, so could you like do a tutorial about that if possible? Almost all of your videos include this app and I would love to try it out. Thanks ❤️
I don’t she would, as she is almost affiliated with Procreate, being in the all star brush set and having access to the beta of updates. Some people have probably done a video on it, but be careful as they could be showing viruses. Hope this helps 💕
The app costs less than 10 USD. Ask your parents if you can do chores for this amount and then get the app. The REAL investment is the ipad anyway, the app itself is VERY affordable.
Hiya! I'm so sorry to hear your parents don't want to get the Procreate app for you 😭 Do you think you could ask for an iTunes gift voucher so that you can get the app? The app is not very expensive (at least not compared to the iPad 😅) - and I really think you would benefit a lot from having the app. Right now is the time for you to explore your creativity - I wish I was able to do this on the iPad when I was your age! Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼🤗
I’ll leave it to the pros, I like the mystery. But it’s too bad that no ones making good brushes anymore, Lisa Bardot and Retro Supply have stopped, so I’m frustrated, I don’t want to keep buying junky brushes just to get that- new brush -hit of dopamine! Someone good could make a mint, right now.
I’ve also made a complete Procreate tutorial where I’m showing all the other features - and I highly recommend it! The link is here: ruclips.net/video/vXG-Un_9BHw/видео.html
