  • In this video I will show you how I draw fur with just default brushes in Procreate, so no need to purchase all the fur brushes.
I made this tail as my very first RUclips video some time ago, so I thought it would be nice to do it better. You can still find it here:
    • A realistic animal fur...
I will leave that old video public for a while. It's kind of embarrassing to see it, but it's also an inspiration because I feel like my videos are better now. If you doubt yourself about posting something - just start where you are. Don't wait for a better time.
You can find my brushes on Etsy here:
    www.etsy.com/shop/DuneDigital...
    My gear:
Apple iPad Pro 2020 11'' with Apple Pencil and iPhone SE 2nd gen 2020 for filming.

Thanks for this tutorial, to use the smudge tool with the inking brush…is so helpful and a great step forward for me. Thanks for sharing

This was such a quick and easy tutorial on how to do it. I’ve tried various methods to get fur but haven’t looked as good as this. 👍

Thank you! 🧡 I have another video on my channel about fur (dog’s ear) and I think it’s a better one! 😀

Ngl, you might have just saved me from missing a comission due date XD
First comission ever and someone looked at my portfolio without any animals and asked me to draw their dog. Boy has it been a rushed learning curve.

I’m happy this video helped you! I have another one on my channel about painting fur and a new video about editing an existing pet photo for portraits 🙂

Thank you! I started painting cats in procreate and kinda figured out on my own but these tips really help, the studio pen is really nice to use for blending. 😊

Your tutorial popped up and I had to see it. I so appreciate that you only used provided brushes in Procreate. I just subscribed as I believe there will be a lot you can help me with - thank you for your channel.

Thanks a lot, your fur looks so natural, good idea to make use of the existing standard brushes, usual we are too lazy to try that out, but I’m sure it works fine for many applications, as you have shown in this video - have a nice day ☺️

Thank you, Hans, for your feedback. With the default brush it still looks a bit too smooth maybe.

I just found your channel. This tutorial was excellent! Question: I see you have fur brushes on Etsy. Would it be easier to buy and use your fur brushes? Thanks in advance.👍🏽

You can watch my other tutorial where I draw my dog’s ear with the default brushes. It’s a bit better video.
I’m not gonna say that you need my brushes just so you would purchase them. They’re different than the default ones, but you can definitely get by without my brushes 🤗

The point of the specialized brushes is to save time, this is nice but takes too long I would rather use a fur brush

    • @dunedigitaldesigns
      @dunedigitaldesigns  Год назад +8

Sure! This is just to show how I did it with the default brushes 😊 one way out of many

Also, sometimes people can’t afford to buy specialty brushes right away, but still want to play around, and practice their art, and then eventually get specialty brushes

Yes, and there are SO MANY brushes for sale. It’s good to know how to work with default brushes ☺️
