A group of friends go to a restaurant, get fortune cookie fortunes that are innuendos to their deaths, then die one by one FD style. I wanna say some of the kills were pretty decent for the budget? Something in the dirt is supposed to be attached to the endless and resolution films as well, but I didn't feel like something in the dirt fit in as well? Still worth the watch. But resolution and the endless were for sure the best. Some people say their movie spring is also supposed to be attached, but that one I feel like meshes with the others the least. This was such a great vid and idea ❤️
I would love to see similar recommendations for The Menu! Obviously it’s comedy horror, but so gooood and would be cool to see similar movies!

I’d have to say Ready or Not, Midsommar, Fresh, You’re Next, Bodies Bodies Bodies. And the composer from The Menu also worked on Hereditary if you liked the score

Enjoyed the recommendations and will check them out. When you were explaining Barbarian-alikes, talking about shift in tone part way thru, surprising reveals, etc. I thought you were going to suggest Psycho (my personal favorite).

I always get the best recs from your videos !! it’d be cool if you did a horror book version of this video , or one where you group them by apps so like all movies on netflix / hulu / etc

I didn't like Cabin in the Woods the first time I watched it. I didn't understand it. I have rewatched it since then and now I kinda understand it. I like it now

I'm so glad you mentioned Perfect Blue! It's actually one of my first horror movies, and generally very different from what I normally like, but I think it's a great movie. As for something kind of like Misery in terms of one person basically being at someone else's mercy, I would also recommend The Loved Ones and Guinea Pig 6: Mermaid in a Manhole (each movie follows a different character, so ignore the '6' there heh)

For that Final Destination like recommendations, I'll also recommend Stay Alive movie, where there is a horror video game that characters play, and they have to stay alive, because the way they will in the game is the sane way they'll die in real life. Not a masterpiece, but enjoyable.

Love this new video idea. I would definitely recommend Hard Candy if you liked Barbarian. Not really horror, and definitely not for everyone (check for trigger warnings), but definitely takes a hard right turn just when you think it’s going in one direction.

Oooh! I love the idea of this video! Awesome recommendations! For the next "If You Liked That Movie, Watch This Movie" video, could you do recommendations for these films?
Carrie (either the 1976 version or the 2013 version, whichever one you watched)
    The Shining
Get Out (Directed by Jordan Peele)
    Cabin Fever
    The Ruins
    Thirteen Ghosts

Also totally get what you mean when referring to a horror "comfort" movie. 😆 It's like when you know what you're getting and it delivers!
