Sydney Sweeney was SO good in the psychological horror she starred in back in 2020! It’s called Nocturne. The storyline itself wasn’t the most original but her acting was really amazing so I ended up really liking it. I think after euphoria she fell victim to typecasting so I’m really excited for immaculate. I think she’s amazing for the genre.
Yes i recently saw a video (forgetting who made it though) who said she would really benefit and showcase her acting chops if she takes on "ugly roles" it woukd really force hollywood to pay attention to her acting and not her body

Even if Maxine is not AS good, this has the potential to be one of the greatest trilogies, let's hope it gets that crown. I am scared about Nosferatu; I want this to be awesome, having Eggers helming it is promising and hope Lily-Rose can deliver - I want that for her, the film and the fans.

Imaginary looks very very intriguing and interesting to me. I don’t find the teddy bear scary but the reveal of the creepy distorted “real life” gigantic bear monster actually had me intrigued. Because it reminded of that absolutely horrifying scene from Annihilation where that bear monster thing comes in the house mimicking the screams and cries of the girls’ friend(s) it just killed.
Some interesting stuff ahead. Not sure we need an English remake of Speak No Evil. The original barely a year old and is fantastic

We don’t see outside our own horror community… most people didn’t see that incredible film last year cause no one wants to look away from their phones to read during a That they’re barely watching. Our Community sees the incredible value in foreign films… most of the normies, don’t! BTW… i loved the shot to shot remake of Funny Games better… than the original. Because of the actors and performances. And the fact that i didn’t even know the originally existed until the release of the remake. I want people to see “See No Evil” so why wait a decade to release it?

I think the backrooms movie is set to release next year, if so I'm most excited to see that, otherwise I'm excited for Silent Hill, Maxxxine, and Nosferatu but honestly I can't wait to see all the foreign horror that we'll get next year that we have no idea about. When Evil Lurks was probably my favorite horror release this year and I'm gonna be paying more attention to foreign releases from now on.
American Horror Stories is doing a Backrooms episode next year as well
The trailer for "Night Swim" is indeed showing in theaters, I saw it before "Thanksgiving" (which is a 4/5 stars movie for me).
I’m looking forward mostly to the untitled Jordan peele movie.. I’ve read that he’s possibly going to remake the people under the stairs which would be awesome

I love his movies! Get Out is chilling and Nope! Was not scary but sooo fun I loved the concept.
I really like his aproach to horror movies, is just either psicological horror or a super cool horror idea that's no scary but very fun to watch.
I would looove to see his aproach of people under the stairs this is so cool I really hope is true I love Jordan Peele

I am with you on Speak No Evil. There is no reason for it to be remade.
Sounds like Nosferatu is a remake. It was the original Dracula film, which came out in 1922. It was remade in the '70s with Klaus Kinski. The vampire had to be named Count Orlok, due to lawsuits brought up by Stoker's relatives. If this new film is a remake, I definitely want to see it. The 1922 film is one of my favorite films.

I find it interesting that Willem Dafoe is in the upcoming remake, as he played Count Orlok in "Shadow of the Vampire" (2000). He was even nominated for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his performance. A great film, if you haven't already seen it.
I'm new to your channel so i don't know what it is about the 80s that you dislike so much. The shining, poltergeist, Friday the 13th, Day of the Dead, the nightmare on elm street franchise, the lost boys, Hellraiser, the fog, Christine, the howling, an American werewolf in London... So much of the genre was created in the 80s.
I'm a bit obsessed with the 80s in general lmao so it's hard for me to understand. The 80s is so so amazing for horror!
If I remember correctly, Sydney Sweeney had played a devout character in the past - in The Handmaid's Tale! So it's not that new for her, I'm excited for the movie.
Excited for Nosferatu, The Watchers, The Strangers trio, the Jordan Peele flick, and Witchboard (loved those as a kid in the 80s, so it's nostalgia talking). Looks like it could be a pretty good year for horror next year. Just hope they don't go too safe with them.

Maxxxine, terrifier 3 and smile 2 are my top 3 most anticipated horror movies of 2024. With quiet place day one, imaginary, and night swim also have some excitement for.
Honestly I forgot about the first omen I didn’t even know it was coming out next year so maybe I’ll check it out I like the original.
Maxxxine is the more anticipated. Hopefully it’s found footage film while she is an actress doing her “films” 😀

8:50 It's not a horror movie, but you should really see Sydney in Reality. She really carries that movie with her performance and kinda elevated her in my eyes. Excited to see how she handles a horror movie.

As for the games, Silent Hill 1+3 are the complete main origin story of Silent Hill, how the power of Silent Hill as a town is released, whereas 2 is sort of a continuation that interprets the power to tell a great story. Makes me a little sad that with 2 being most popular and the original movies taking a different direction, the whole point of Alessa and Cheryl and Harry's story gets forgotten.
You forgot about Heather. Silent Hill 4 is part of the complete story as well.
@@lainiwakura1776 Heather reclaims Cheryl at the end of 3. And I've grown to really enjoy 4 as a horror game as an adult, but 4 is like... an anthology addition to the world of 1-3, pretending it's more than that is a bit silly imo.

The funniest thing about the Night Swim movie: the moment i saw the trailer, i had horror flashbacks from my childhood. I am also a floridian (lol, what a coinkidink) and i was DEATHYL afraid of my swimming pool at night. My nana made me watch Poltergeist--so the dead bodies in the pool always came to mind--and she made me watch alligator and jaws, so i was always afraid there was a giant gator in the pool or, otherwise, a shark. Nice to know that I'm not the only floridian with these weird, horrifying swimming pool fears

I'm surprised you did not mention Chris Stuckmann doing his directorial debut with Shelby Oaks next year (it also got pushed back because of the writers strike). Other than that, I have to say I'm not super hyped for most of this lineup, except maybe the Untitled Jordan Peele movie and the Nosferatu movie because I quite liked The Witch. I love the Alien and Silent Hill Franchise a LOT, but considering the last entries both of these franchises got, my expectations are floor level, so crossing my fingers these won't suck as bad as their predecessors. 🤞

Besides the fact that it's made by a beloved RUclipsr, everything that has been released about it doesn't make it look any special from the other generic horror movies (it also lowkey doesn't look very good)
"Alien: Romulus" is being directed by Fede Alvarez, so I'm all in one that one. I LOVE his 2013 remake of "Evil Dead." I'm also a fan of "Don't Breathe."
I'm honestly looking forward to both Imaginary and Nosferatu. As for the sequel/prequel horror films, i'm most excited for is Terrifier 3. As for Alien 9 and Omen 6, honestly I feel like I need to see a trailer for those especially first Omen because the question running through my mind on that film is how do you do a prequel to the Omen.
I didn't know they were doing another Silent Hill! I'm happy to hear that, since the second one is just... ya. Not a great way to end the movies. Loved the first one, so hopefully he'll be able to bring the vibes back!

I’ve been hearing about a new Conjuring movie coming out next year but have also heard it might not be until 2025. I hope it’s not that far out as I want to see it so bad. I didn’t know Smile had a sequel coming. I’ll definitely be watching when it comes out! The first one was definitely weird and creepy. Night Swim sounds interesting and I might be checking that out. Witchboard seems interesting too.

Sydney Sweeney was in Nocturne which I actually quite enjoyed. I love that Alex Wolff is in both Pig and the Quiet Place movie. I absolutely love him, he’s actually an old friend of mine, I always say this lol and it’s true and I will forever talk about it lol. He’s genuinely the greatest person, so sweet and obviously very talented. I cannot WAIT for MaXXXine!! X and Pearl were phenomenal.

Although I rarely agree with your opinions, I always love hearing your opinions and takes on things anyway! Because they are so often different from my own.
(for example saying a lot of these sound cheesy but then loving found footage ghost movies which in my opinion are just about the most cheesy a horror film can physically get, not found footage in general. But specifically the ghost ones. Though I still enjoy them anyway 😅)

For me my most hyped film is Nosferatu, I love the 1922 and 1979 movies to pieces, and Shadow of the Vampire is great. Plus I love the directors other films.
