5:12 She-Hulk did more to expand the MCU than people realized. Love that show. I also love the idea that not every super powered person doesn't need to be a hero Code 8 did something like that.
One element of Bat-Mite that I adore is in Batman/Superman: World's Finest #29, where: It's revealed that he is a Fifth Dimension version of Clark, explaining why there never was a Superman imp and being a fun twist
Yes! I love that Jenna thought of Dr. Manhattan during his transfigure as well. Just an exterior shot of Gotham without having a location title and that little bit of Dark Noir music, speaks volumes to me. It's saying, we trust our audience to know where we are at. This episode dynamics with Nina and the Bride are full on Little and Big Sister vibes. Plus "Hey Clown" by Firewater has now been added to my playlist. Keep up the great art, Professor. 🤘🎬🎙
My wife and I are loving these videos. You've got a Geoff Johns/Grant Morrison level of encyclopedic DC knowledge. As for the episode, holy moly I've got some thoughts. - I'm incredibly curious about Flag Sr. going forward. James Gunn and Frank Grillo have confirmed his multiple future appearances, but he's in ROUGH shape right now. - Phosphorus' origin (you know which part) actually caused us to pause the episode and take a minute. We've got kids ourselves, and what they put on screen hit in such a visceral way that we were shaken. - I love the look of Gotham, but it could use police blimps. Lots of police blimps.😁 - BATMAN! Great way to tease him in the DCU. As soon as the lights kicked off in the club I just knew. With the Williams theme being celebrated as part of Superman's DNA, I would absolutely love if the DCU used not Elfman, but a new take on the Shirley Walker Batman theme from Mask of the Phantasm and later seasons of BTAS. - I love the Bride in this show. My previous favorite version was the Peter J. Tomasi Bride who appeared in his Superman Rebirth run. This version tops it. She's so fun. - I love the fleshing out of Bialya. Just a few lines of dialogue shed a lot of light on the upcoming Superman film.
0:40 it’s funny how they thought back then because a lot of experts now are saying nuclear is probably the best option and doesn’t pollute as much as oil does as long as the waste is properly disposed of
Phosphorus really made the show for me. Is his story wholly unique and original? No, we've had characters with similar backstories before, but Alan Tudyk does such an amazing job bringing the character to life. Love the content! Keep making more
The young lady on the magazine cover could be a call back to The Bulleteer from Morrisons Seven Soldiers. Which has both the Monster and The Bride appearing in.
I feel like in the episode 7 trailer that was lex in the scene of the school bullies picking on Nina also the school. Looks fancy and there wearing uniforms
I thought it was a great episode! I could do without so much graphic violence, but that's just a personal taste. It's still a great show! Thanks for terrific content, Jenna!
EPISODE 7 SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Phosphorous mentions "not being touched for 15 years" which seemingly implies that the DCU's Batman has been active for 15 years at least.
I've loved every episode so far, but this one felt a little too fast paced for me. I wish we got more time with Phosphorus and his family instead of just a quick exposition dump then BOOM. They're dead. Still really liked the episode, though. Just a small critique.
@mareleivanov I agree it's a runtime issue, but Gunn was in control of the runtime. I'm wondering if he felt it needed to be shorter because it's animation.
Yo, i randomly watched Superman vs the Elites movie today and imagine my surprise when i heard Pokolistan and Bialya not just being referenced but an actual integral part of the plot. It made me appreciate Creature commandos a lot more 🤌
The David Harbour line delivery in this episode had me crying 😂
If Weasel doesn't survive the end of this season I'll never recover...
This Rupert Thorne fella sounds like he might have a plan…
Involving Tahiti?
Phosphorus just needed to have faith.
Have some goddamn faith!
you'll never catch me in tahiti batman!
I think Young Justice is the closest we’ve gotten to a full Bat Family. Excited what JG will do!
I liked the interactions the woman that owned the brothel had with the Bride.

Not to mention the confirmation that the Sokovia Accords had been repealed after the events of Endgame.

Nuclear is the most reliable energy source but it shouldn't be the way forward. Clean, renewable energy is the way to go.

Not the Trap clip 😂
I wouldn’t say Bat-Mite is too much of a deep cut considering his frequent appearances in Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
The young lady on the magazine cover could be a call back to The Bulleteer from Morrisons Seven Soldiers. Which has both the Monster and The Bride appearing in.
Great video! I'm very excited to see how we will see characters in the live-action projects.
I love how i come back home at 3am to watch your videos
always look forward to a new Jenna
1:44 I was half expecting a Dr Manhattan reference while watching ngl

I agree another great episode not sure where we go from here with onlyn1 episode left

phosphorus' backstory is so hard to watch
