Genuinely it was so amazing to see Nico and Amadeus on the screen, the kind of the first time. I have been a long time fan of Runaways & Champions (and of Rainbow Rowells books & comics in general) that two of my favorite characters finally start getting the attention. They deserve in an animated show was just amazing..

in 1991 my parents gave me for Christmas a stack of Marvel comics that were all single issues from of the titles sold in a month in a big bundle. While i knew who Spider-Man, Captain America and the Hulk were, it was my first exposure to Iron Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Thor, the Fantastic Four. amongst these was the first issue of NFL Superpro's series. even my young ten year old brain saw that cover, proudly declaring itself a collector's item! and said "yeah, this guy ain't going to stick around." also, i love the other obscure characters you showed, Golden Age Red Tornado Ma Hunkel, Tri-D Man, and CC Beck's Fatman the Human Flying Saucer!

That sudden smash cut to Riverdale caught me so off guard. I couldn’t stop laughing!

I have vague memories from the early 90s of a Superpro issue being my first comic, along with another mystery book that had both Nova and Jack of Hearts.

I remember one of my neighbours growing up had a stack of 80s/90s comics that included the first 4 issues of NFL Superpro.

I think with a little reinvention he would be great for a Marvel D+ Special like Werewolf By Night

I'm glad for Pearl Pangan make her Marvel Animation debut in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man as Peter Parker's High School Crush. As a Filipino longtime Marvel Fan, I hope Pearl Pangan aka Wave will make her MCU Debut in Live Action in the Main MCU Sacred Timeline. Also, I dig it with Luna Snow (first appeared in Marvel Future Fight, then in Marvel Super War, then in Marvel Comics in War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1 and Marvel Rivals), Nico Minoru, Harry Osborn and Peter Parker aka Spider-Man himself.

I swear to God, every new adaptation they try to make it as Spider-Man-less as possible. Even Danny Phantom feel more a real Spider-Man show that this thing.

I liked the first two episodes overall. I love the art style, but I'm still getting used to the animation style. I'm surprised you didn't mention Dr. Connors, though.

To be completely honest i'm not excited about most of the things in this new DCU right now. I am excited for Sergeant Rock because it's gonna be a R-rated WW2 movie that has the potential to have a young Alfred Pennyworth in it and i am excited for Clayface because it has Mike Flanagan involved and it's gonna be a tragic body horror DC film. Maybe James Mangold's Swamp Thing and ofcourse The Batman Part 2 but that's about it. I was just a much bigger fan of Sasha Calle as Supergirl and i think it's a mistake that James Gunn didn't keep her. And i'm a Snyderverse//Henry Cavil Superman defender. I hope James Gunn announces a RED SON (in which Cavil could return for a one off) or a GOTHAM BY GASLIGHT because those are movies i would actually be hyped for.

I really enjoyed it way more than I thought I would I'm confused as to why they would change Dr Connors. I don't care about changing the race at all that doesn't matter but the character sex seems kind of needless? I mean she could still have a son and go through the original arc but I was thrown off. Also making Lonnie not albino is kind of weird. It feels like the kind of show that would want that kind of representation. I remember making a concept for the character that had large patches of vitiligo and I think that would have been more interesting than just having him turn via a science project

I've seen a LOT of hate for this show online which is really disappointing. So many people saying "just bring back older shows for new seasons", but why? Why reject a new direction? Are we truly wanting TV to follow along with Movies where there are just continuations over and over and nothing new? Excited to try the show, love the videos!

Love seeing Amadeus Cho, but I've got to say the development of Lonnie Lincoln becoming Tombstone makes him for me the most interesting character. Thanks for confirming the identity of Jeanne Foucault, when she said she was sure she wouldn't remember Peter, my mind immediately flashed on her comic character Finesse.

This is the second time I've heard a "Please add Big Wheel" for Rivals. I have no idea who this guy is, but I'm already on board cause that can be a fun addition to the Vanguard roster

I just watched ep.1. The animation isn't really my thing and the dialogue is a little cringe at times. But it's bether than i thought it would be. See what i was afraid of was the story to be predictable. When a character with a well known origin gets adapted they will hit certain story beats but to not make it predictable, repetitive or too generic they will have to do something different. Well the moment that portal opened and Dr. Strange fell through it fighting a symbiote creature i did not see that coming. So to my relief not predictable. Also the little moment with the girl that stole that money, Spider-Man and the man from the pizzeria was quitte sweet.

She looks like Magik from Rivals.

1st 2 episodes were great I love this version of different characters interacting with Peter. Animation style is good really dies feel like a comic book.

The episodes were great and I’m glad we’re finally getting quips again . A staple of Peter being more confident with he mask then in his everyday life . The writers also cooked showing how Lonnie doesn’t have everything , his arc to becoming tombstone is gonna be insane .

As much as I love the representation of lesser known characters like this, it pains me that most modern adaptations of Spider-Man are so averse to adapting Mary Jane. Would it kill them to adapt everyone's favourite redhead?
