The Hello Kitty drum kit was lacking in so many aspects. This guitar has all the capabilities as any other acoustic guitar, just a little less quality.

The sound of the pick hitting the strings is a giveaway that it's a cheap beginner guitar with nylon strings. A classical guitar (a guitar with nylon strings) doesn't sound like this either. It still sounded nice to me though.

Well Iommi played in a bunch of blues rock bands before sabbath, and sabbath is just blues tuned real low with a lot of distortion, but I agree - I never expected this level of bluesyness from an acoustic hello kitty guitar played by zakk wylde no less lmao
What we call musical genres (especially now that people seem to like creating ever finer distinctions between genres more than they like music) are differentiated more by arragment and production than anything. As Otis Redding showed us decades ago if you take the fuzz riff from "Satisfication" and play it on horns that rock song morphs into soul.
A lot of metal is just angry blues. Take a blues song and add distortion and suddenly you have metal.

I have a Hello Kitty guitar and I got it when I was like three. It's not a fancy Fender but it plays nicely and lasted through all my little kid abuse so I think they are decent. It's a Squire and the ( non Hello Kitty ) amp works just fine as well. I think it's mostly skill. Like I can draw with crayons but pencils and Copics or my tablet works better, but the skill is similar. That guy is obviously amazing.

It only sounds good because it's acoustic, a cheap electric will have cheap electronics and thus sound cheap. Also sound is one of the things in an instrument that barely changes with an increase in cost; things much more affected are quality, feel and longevity.

I always wanted to start a new genre called "Toy Metal" or "Jokercore" metal and rock music made with toys instruments and naive lyrics.
Videos like this are a stern reminder that talent/skill can overcome any inherent limitations. It makes me think of people buying 2500 dollar guitars just to play hot cross buns, or in my industry of art, that you need the absolute best pencils/markers and paper to make stellar artwork.

I disagree; I think it sounds like crap even with him playing it, relative to a decent instrument.
Do you not hear that shitty tinny ringing out on the thinner strings, or the thicker strings slowly pulling out of Harmony? Or the unclean pressing of frets?
None of that is on zakk, but it still sounds pretty shitty compared to what it should sound like. Saying otherwise is just ignoring what you're hearing. If he can't make it seem clean and sound good, not many can. But to say this sounds clean and good.... No. Sorry, but no. It sounds decent for what is being used; that is all.
This might sound crazy, but I honestly think that Zakk Wylde's true talent is best shown on acoustic guitar.

Gábor Demeter haha, Don’t listen to that knucklehead. Zakk was born in 1967 and black sabbath was formed in 1968. I’m sure he didn’t help form the quintessential heavy metal band in diapers. He did however play lead guitar for Ozzy Osbourne for a period of time though.
