Mayer included
@@jClayT6 when I think "Mayer" I dont think "intensity".
@@jimq.customer4526 look at some the old performances. I get it, from the radio friendly persona...but he's a beast. He runs laps around Clapton. Can't say the same ab SRV and Hendrix, they are the GOATS. I get your point though
His vocals aren't at the level of those guys you mentioned.
Agreed. Zakk has always been about the song and the fans.
"What would like on your subway sub today?" "I'll take some lettuce, tomato and a double helping of metal"
Hmmm , yeah you wouldn't find much meat on their sandwiches anyway .
I've watched this about 48 times and can't get enough
Almost 29 years ago and the freaking tone!!! Wow, I like this version so much more than the original War Pigs. The energy and passion..this man was born to shred :)
The famous guys remember these types of gigs as the best days of their lives.
One thing you gotta love about this is that he gives no fu¢€ that he is only in a subway parking lot! He is playing his ever loving soul out!!! Freakin awesome!!!
that's why he is where he is today ! all about jamming to him !
Mad respect to James LoMenzo on bass here. Wylde and he were used to sold out stadiums and still did this to get Pride and Glory off the ground. Amazing humility.
Not James Lomenzo.
That’s Emery Sears. A local Detroit guitar player that offered to play bass for the clinic. He also worked at the store that sponsored the event Scanlan Music in Novi MI. Mike Brasic on drums. Recorded by Michael Christensen another guitarist/artist from the area. No rehearsals. Back when it was fun.
This is a man who obviously loves what he does. Legend. Period.
Best concert I ever saw in the Funcoland parking lot.
@Coin Hunter yes
🤣
I just keep losing my mind over the solo's in warpigs. I have watched it so many times. A timeless performance.
They dont call him Wylde for no reason rock the hell on!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Zakk had recorded 3 albums with Ozzy before this video was made. He was already a star
2.
Right, now look at his bad BLS ass!! Joined the Ozman at 20 years old. Been smoking ever since. And don't forget his P&J project. ( and no, not peanut butter & jelly!) 😂🤣😅😅🤣
I believe Zakk is doing exactly what he was meant to do on earth.
The Pantera tribute tour?
God bless the camera man for capturing this! Amazing
Probably one of the best guitar players of all time.
Probably 😂
No way dude 🤣
That's just an insult bro
Those pants prove that his playing was too much for the people of the 60's. So the worlds best scientists sent him to the appropriate decade via time travel.
Right by where I grew up. One of my dads stores are in the background. Lol.
This is Absolutely Amazing Zakk ❤I honestly love this and I’m glued to watching this video over and over!!! Thank you omg I’m in shock! Your Voice is so powerful and beautiful 💛💛💛! Regards, Maryalice Raven 🐦⬛ 🖤🐦⬛🖤🐦⬛
It's so funny to see old "hippie Zakk", as he's been biker Zakk for so long now.... ❤
This is a freakin Master Class of the Pentatonic scale! Shit man!!!
The volume roll offs during war pigs are killin me 😂 old skool cool man
love the old school vids like this
Think about how lucky youd have to be to see Zakk playing and singing for free infront of subway
I'd stop and watch for a minute like I'm doing now
How lucky are these people? Getting an impromptu gig by one of the greatest guitarists at that time. Zakk was a beast , and still is
America in 93 was something else man I wish I could go back and be 12 again
It’s almost unrecognizable now, give it another 15 years and it will be completely unrecognizable from the illegals flooding in masses and turning the country 3rd world
One of my best memory when I was a teenage, high school Era:Zakk playing "Losin'your mind" in their video... Zakk comes as he is!
By this time he'd been with Ozzy for nearly a decade so no one was gonna tell him that he can't sing.
Ozzy told him he COULD sing and encouraged the lynrd skynhed and pride&glory stuff
Lol , good one. Thanks for the laugh
In 93 it wouldn’t have been nearly a decade you puts. More like 5 years at best. Did you forget Rhodes and jake e Lee lol
Dude joined Ozzy in 87/88. So 5-6 years at best
He joined Ozzy in like 87 dude. It was like 5-6 years.
When you lose your gig with ozzy and end up playing at subway
Pick in the air to this
Lol
Ozzy Riped them all off!
@@shawnhill3482 I don't know the story and tried looking it up. I'm curious, did him and ozzy have bad blood at a point in time in the early 90s?
@@nicholaslittle6614 No. Ozzy intended to retire during this era, but at the end of 92 considered reuniting full time with Sabbath before heading back to the studio in the mid-early 90s with Geezer joining him in the studio. That album became Ozzmosis.
Zakk Wylde playing Mountain, awesome. Thank you 👍👍
