For the record Ozzy introduced the world to Zakk, not the other way around. You can either love Ozzy with wild abandon like I have for almost 40 years or you can hate him. He has introduced many guitar players to the game but don't ever forget that they got where they are because of Ozzy.
He has to have electric strings on that acoustic!?..I can't imagine anyone being able to play on an acoustic in that manner or make an acoustic sound the way it does here, regardless of effects!...

It has an electric pick up on it that gives it the electric sound. I got an amplified acoustic and it doesn't make that sound no matter where I go lol. Then I noticed the pick up this guy had in the sound hole and everything made sense

This is a great representation of Zakks skills, he loved Frank Marino which was one of the all time great old school shredders, and was one of the most underrated rock guitarists of all time

If I am not mistaken that looks like the amazing Anton Fig on drums, who I believe is now Joe Bonamassa's full-time drummer. In my opinion he has to be one of THE greatest drummers in the world - EVER.
I bust off my White 1970 Lemans Sport. I put this on the stereo blasting through 4 Kickers and a big sub. I go rolling into my home town of Lubbock Texas and all the fast cars disappear. Young people avert their eyes out of some senses of primal fear. But the 80’s kids know what’s up! Then I proceed to tree the whole damn town! Love rocking out to Mississippi Queen by Zakk in a Pontiac at 6500 RpM. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To anyone attempting to disparage this performance. Yes it is a modded and distorted acoustic guitar. It was made for this kind of performance. Zakk as well as many other artists love the natural reverb and full sound associated with a hollow body guitar not to mention they are just comfortable to play.The second remark I wish to make is, if you look at someone playing an overdriven or “grainy” guitar and think that they are trying to cover up shoddy technique, please come back to reality. Gain increases volume and output. Period. It doesn’t pick what sounds to accentuate. It makes EVERYTHING more noticeable. Sure you could get away with a buzz or two but anyone truly listening could still hear them as well as any other mistake. Just enjoy a great player sitting in with a group of old pros having a good time playing a classic for an involved crowd. Don’t attempt to discredit a performer who has played the soundtrack of multiple generations and is regarded as one of the best by bringing up some nonsense you saw posted somewhere else by some other ignorant individual hating that they won’t ever try let alone work hard enough to have the ability to play half as well as the old man jamming in the back.

@@careystuart He does RIP! But he also has a softer side. His second album 'Book of Shadows' was a semi-acoustic affair (Zakk also plays piano very well) and shows his strength as a pure songwriter. BoS and 'Pride & Glory' are his 2 best albums. I saw him on both those tours and he was fantastic in each setting (even had a string quartet for some of the BoS songs). Zakk is a rare multi-faceted mega talent!

@@careystuart He does RIP! But he also has a softer side. His second album 'Book of Shadows' was a semi-acoustic affair (Zakk also plays piano very well) and shows his strength as a pure songwriter. BoS and 'Pride & Glory' are his 2 best albums. I saw him on both those tours and he was fantastic in each setting (even had a string quartet for some of the BoS songs). Zakk is a rare multi-faceted mega talent!
