Daikin Air Conditioner not heating with no fault code present. I end up diagnosing the outdoor printed circuit board to be faulty. I have ordered a new board which is getting shipped to me from Western Australia.

Hey mate, another good thing to check when splits outdoor boards are faulty is the EEV coil. It’s caught me out before and it was down to to earth. Cooked the new board I put in within a day.
    Keep it up 👍

I’m enjoying hearing how you go about the business side of things Mitch 👍🏼… im employed so don’t really see much of that side, I’m not sure I have the ability to deal with those stresses but you seem to be fairly laid back, these vids your putting out are awesome mate, really am learning heaps, I watch a few channels from the states (hvacr videos is a good one) but good to see an Aussie (I understand our power system more than the US 😂) keep on truckin mate

Thanks bro, I appreciate the support! I watch a few American channels as well. They don’t seem to work on Inverters as much over there though which i thought was interesting. In regards to running a business, it’s harder now then ever. This outdoor board in the video, I got the last one in Australia sent over from WA. The next video coming out next week, I go to a 2 year old Daikin ducted that I installed that now has a faulty PCB due to a power surge and they literally don’t have any spare parts in the country. So yeah it can get stressful 😂😂
      Cheers mate

If it is just not heating two things I would check would be pressure and the reversing valve? Was it cooling fine?

Unit is cooling before owner said problem is no heating...so in reality both cooling & heating function are fucked up...I thought this is one of those videos where unit is cooling but not heating...could be more interesting if that is the case...

Mitch are you seeing any leak issues with the “ white” line sets? We have had a lot of problems after the 3-5 year mark. We are being told the adhesive in the material reacts with the condensation and forms a s it that attacks the copper.

Do you ever disconnect the compressor wiring plug and test the comp that way instead of removing the terminals at the comp. Some comps are a prick to get the lugs off. And not all units have a plug that disconnects obviously

I personally don’t do that. I want a true reading of the compressor. The cable can absolutely manipulate the true compressor readings.

I had T Shirts and Hoodies made up a while back and had a give away. So to answer your question, I had them made as a custom order 👍🏻

hey mitch what model of air con is that just out of curiosity

Hey mate, unfortunately I can’t remember off the top of my head. It wasn’t a standard unit though, it was a project model given to builders who have a big project on and order a bulk order. Wasn’t a normal brand you’d see out in the field. They’re all pretty much the same though to be honest.

if the shaft is rusty... wtf, those are not protected is normal to rust. In this way, you could replace the whole unit, same price and longer life.

I got told at Daikin training that you should replace the fan motor when ever you replace the outdoor pcb especially if the shaft is rusty. It’s to prevent the system from cutting out on an E7 fault in the near future.
Daikin fan motors stop working even when the fans still work (if the revolutions of the fan is slower then what it should be). So their reasoning is, if you’re doing a major repair then just replace an old fan motor at the same time. Replacing the fan motor and board is definitely cheaper then replacing the entire unit.

I don't understand why people use this problematical junk brand that costs us so much to repair all the time....> there are so many other brands out there such as LG, and Samsung....
