This is not the mag-stick plus because the mag-stick plus is switchable between 4-way and 8-way by lifting and rotating the stick from the top of the panel and this joystick uses a lever in order to switch between 8 and 4-way.
I have a Question for you. I am a fan of the game Gyrus and the play field is a spaceship that goes in circles. I do have an arcade Joystick configured in a 8 way mode but even when I rotate the Joystick all the way around the spaceship stops at the vertical or the horizontal position and won't go around in a smooth movement. does that Game originally had a special joystick or I do need a different one? Thanks

I recently purchased an arcademodup Arcade1up kit bundle and at the time they did not have any magstik controller in stock so they send me the unit with regular controllers. purchased a magstik controller and it did not come with install instructions. Any help will be appreciated.

If you play fighting games get a Sanwa or Seimitsu ... not this stick. While this stick is useful, you should not get it unless you play a lot of 4-way games (pac-man) but still want the option to at least play 8-way games and can't afford two sticks.

thats exactly what this is. but the mechanism has to be mounted to work. hence the demo. shm
When in 8 way mode, is it like a suzo happ where it's freely circular, or does it turn into a square gate?

You need a joystick that allows you to replace the restrictor plate, like a Sanwa, and then you need to use a round restrictor plate...

The throw is short. Installing it is a pain as if you don't put all the parts properly, it doesn't work.
