  • You know what elevates my Highline Wristlet Crochet Keychain a little bit more - a coordinated lip balm holder! I'm telling you... summer or winter, it doesn't matter, my lips are always dry up here in the thin mountain air. Lip balm is an essential EDC item, for real! Bonus - having it conveniently clipped to my keychain means I don't have to dig through the abyss, AKA: my purse, to find it! Trust me, you need one of these and so do all of your friends and family!
In this tutorial I walk you through all the materials and steps needed to make your own quick and easy lip balm sleeve with a little D-ring attached so you can clip it really, anywhere! If you missed my Highline Wristlet Crochet Keychain tutorial, check out that video here: • Easy Crochet Keychain ... and get the full ad-free .pdf pattern with multiple color options as well as a leather wrap finishing option! Both items use the same yarn, so they coordinate perfectly!

Yay, love this! I’m always needing my lip balm, especially when walking my dog, so I’ll attach this to my doggie pouch 👏. Thank you so much for this clever idea!

That’s such a great idea! I try to remember to put some on before walking the dogs and forget half the time! I’m going to steal this idea! 🥰

Can you use double knit? Or worsted weight?

Absolutely! You might find you need to adjust your initial st count up a couple sts with Dk, but it would work great! I like my sts to be well defined for these, so you could play with hook size too! You’re going for about 8-9 inches of length before folding it.
