- is 30 days too aggressive to get this 1993 Mazda RX7 done? It might be but I'm going to do everything within my power to get this thing as close as possible! We have a ton of work ahead but I think we can do it.

I put my blaster on a rolling cart so I can bring it outside or wherever. Bottom of the cart holds different blasting mediums.

They key to getting it done in a timely manner is: blood + sweat + tears + a bit of good planning and organization. (PS - Label everything as you take it apart. Bring lotsa ziploc and permanent marker and masking tape.)

I understand the stresses. You can work on a cer or group of cars but a new one? And then having to reassemble it? Give me a GD any day of the week. Or s14. Or in my case a ek hatch or Rx8 s2. But like rx7? Or even supra? Eh.... 😅 Man I'd be lost too

Would you consider adding water/meth injection for your engine? I have yet to see any content for it on RUclips and it would help with reliability since it will clean all the carbon buildup and help boost. Sakebomb has a truck reservoir for something like it.
I won’t be, typically math is a good alternative for those who do not have access to ethanol. Since I typically keep. Barrels of E on hand I normally use that. Water meth works wonders though 🙌

It might cost you a pretty penny, but it's probably worth reaching out to Tommyfyeah for those rx-7 parts like the cluster shroud. If he doesn't have one, he probably knows where to get one.
Yeah 750hp in that chassis is kind of pushing past the limit of what it excels at, 500ish is a lot more fitting for that platform.
I haven't watched the full video yet, but I'll offer some feedback, based on my experience restoring dirt bikes:
Don't rush. Take your time and get everything the way you want it. Restorations tend to have far longer timelines, because there are so many opportunities for unplanned events.
Is that the factory location for the fuse box? Seems like it's just dying to collect water at the plugs.
It’s where Freddy has you relocate it. I’m going to re pot the back side to make it weather proof or cut it and get another relay box. Already have had issues with water getting in that thing
@@Smeedia if you could angle the plugs down towards the ground, it will definitely help with water pooling in them. Loving the build!
I saw that! You looked up and to the left while saying "we're gonna keep it between 450 and 500 HP". I've seen that look before, on each and every "mild" daily driver build in the last 3 years 😉. At this rate, you're gonna crush that self imposed deadline. Until the giant turbo and massive fuel pumps are delayed in shipping after mild get's bypassed for wild 3/4's of the way through reassembly, that is. 😏

What's the difference between Kill Mat, Dyna mat and Amazon branded sound deadening?
For the most part I think just brand name or not, some may keep sound down a bit more. My neighbor gave me the box of kill mat so I’ve been using that 😅

You're going to love all the sound deadening you did, I put sound deading on my car (front and rear doors, under the rear seats, the trunk, spare tire well, the rear windshield brace/shelf) it's basically made the interior dead quite and super comfortable it also improved the sound quality of my sound system there's no tinniness at all and sounds much fuller. I can still hear intake and exhaust noises with basically no road noise I can only really hear the tires going over bumps it's definitely made it a much more enjoyable and premium feeling ride. Probably one of the most worthwhile OEM+ mods you can do well worth the investment.
I’m glad to hear, I was skeptical to install some of it at first but glad I did 🥳 while everything’s already apart it really doesn’t take much more time to toss in either
@@Smeedia they way I did it was installed a few pieces then tap around and listen to the sound if it still sounded tinny I would just apply more pieces until the area had a solid Hallow sound. I literally don't hear a single rock hit the underside of my car, with the doors I would apply a few sheets and then check the sound by closing the door once it had a nice solid thud then they're perfect
@@Smeedia I definitely suggest since all the interior prices and liners are out to do your roof, also doing your wheel arches wouldn't hurt depending on how quiet you want the interior to be. I didn't do my roof because I didn't feel like removing and reinstalling the headliner so still here some rain on the roof but it's still quite enough for me and the sound on my roof is still quite muffled I might still do the roof some where down the line if I decide to put in all black interior peices
