- We need to clear out some more room in the shop to prep the Mazda RX7 for the rest of its paint. So anything that we have sitting around that we can throw on we need to. so let's get down and turn this thing into a car!

(imo) the Transmission, either pull apart to inspect and repair replace as necessary, or just get a '08-'11 RX8 6 spd. Way better ratios.

@@Smeedia Ship it to/ask Rob Dahm cause honestly its a complete crap shoot with any shop that knows rotaries well enough to trust to build the transmission, if you go off of the RX7 community posts. I wouldve recommended the Vargas brothers but I recently learned they are under lawsuit for bad work/incomplete cars.
@@Smeedia Not so much building, just making sure there the syncro are still good, etc. That stock transmissions in RX7 were so tall of gears. Great if you doing a 200mph club, but for daily/spirited driving, the RX8 had much better gear ratios.

Totally random. I went to the Subaru dealer in Tacoma looking to get rear wheel bearing/hub for my '05 Outback and they're discontinued for all '05-'09 Outbacks.... dealer went into panic mode.

Yup yup that's why the pats guy went into panic mode. My buddy said... well it is almost a 20 year old car. My response was yeah it is but there's also many millions of them still on the road.

White was the perfect color IMO. The black/white combo just looks mean. Also i haven't forgotten about the 2.5RS/ 2door, did you sell it or still on back burner? Edit: I like the mix of voice over and vlog style in a video together, but not all the time voice-over.
The 2.5 is happening after the RX7, doing mine and a customers around the same time 🎉

previous owner put a similar ABS delete kit in my supra. it does indeed go right by the turbo and downpipe. the black PTFE steel lines all these kits use are supposed to stand up to heat but they probably still heat up the fluid a little. i put some DEI heat sleeve on it, the high temp hook and loop stuff so i didn't have to remove anything to install. i'm considering re-installing hardlines in my car but it gives me a headache just thinking about it.
I’m just going to make one hardline for it, just seems lazy of chase bays to have it drape over the engine and trans like that 🥲

Hey I have a question. I’m planning to rebuild my 2007 sti. Can I put a 2018 sti short block in there and use my 2007 V25b heads?? I know they’re single on the 07 and the 2018 is dual. Is that possible to do?

Question Why did you choose to powder coat some parts and Cerakote others? Obviously the steering column is not a high heat area. Asking cause I’m trying to figure out if I want to Cerakote or 2K epoxy paint my window trims on my GD STI Concerned about the durability of Cerakote as it is supposed to be applied fairly thin
It was mainly dependent on what could or could not go in the oven. The ceramide is air cured so if something is sensitive to heat we don’t have to bake it 🫡

ABS delete kit from Eccentric motors is the best delete kit. Its also all hardlines and includes a brake bias valve. Fit is perfect, i have it on my FD.

Another amazing video!! The voice over is very nice! I am excited to see it completed!! The semigloss black accents the white very nicely! Seeing the subaru rs worked on will be amazing!!! I regrettably have to do what you just did as i have to catch some rust before it wrecks the car 😅 and while i have the car apart may as well throw some upgrades in.. and maybe build a whole body kit... i may have bit off more than i shouldve.

@@Smeedia so true. It started as "i need an ignition swapped to drive the car" now its on jack stands with no body, or wires, or a driveshaft which wasnt my fault

Hey, so look into a pilot bond brush, they go in a drill and make a nice uniform circle for grounds. They work awesome!!
Going to order one 🔥 will make life way easier for stripping paint when needed for grounds 😅
I had to make 2 brake lines on my gd and ordered a roll of stainless line to replace it with. Bends nice and the stainless looks nice as well

@@Smeedia Turns out the motor lives on. Sounded identical to rod knock but the flex plate is absolutely mangled. It's not allowing for rotation of motor to remove bolts. Any tips?
