@@cybercat3113 thing is i do really like alot of the turn based and RTS games but i do agree that at least with 40k the market is a bit oversaturated.
I’m not greedy, I’m content with 6v6, we already have 3 more classes and at least 3 game modes already announced. Plus PvE and slick customization, Saber go ahead and do your thing!
They've got us so starved for quality we're willing to worship the first company to pretend they care. Not to say that's them at all but we definitely tend to ask for the minimum atp

people thinking that less playing in a pvp game = bad
have never played any competitive games in their lives, there's a reason why most top shooter are mainly 5v5
more players = more balancing problems
more players = waaay more optimization problem
more players = bigger maps = more "dead zones" since people will always want to get stuck in lol
so imo, 6 players sounds perfect to me
hell halo as been 4v4 for so many years and the game is always packed with action all because of good map design (this is where they CANT fuck this up)

You bring up Halo being 4v4 but forget that it also has Big Team Battle which is just as popular, i agree with you on your points but i wouldnt say Space Marine 2 mp is gonna be stuck at 6v6 for those reasons alone.
I believe bigger gamemodes could come with Apothecary and Techmarine classes and Chaos equivalents later down the road with updates, along with 4 player PVE options as icing on the top. No one knows for sure but i think they can pull it off.
@@xS1D3SW1P3x Don't get me wrong im definitely not against the idea of big teams/maps, like you said, halo has it as well, but the game is definitely not balanced around this gamemode. So the ball is on their side, more balanced gameplay? or straight up epic fun? i would say im more in the favor of big epic fun, there's already other games around for competitive balanced gameplay..
But as someone that works in the video game industry (3d animator) I know for a fact that if they want to push out a "bigger gamemode/additional classes/etc, i hope it was scoped a long time ago, because this type of production requieres years.. so not a free update, but a standalone game
as somebody coming from the pseudo competitive side of shooters i 100% agree with you
if saber wants a healthy and competitive pvp scene 6v6 should be the absolute maximum
i wouldn't mind a fun mode that's complete over the top with like 30vs30 or some shenanigans like that, but the core pvp mode should be maximum 6vs6 for the all the reasons you mentioned and more
balancing is key for pvp and there's endless possibilities with a good pvp mode, ranks, seasons, ladder, rewards
this game has so much potential, let's hope they seize it and make this go down as one, or even the best, warhammer game for years to come
quite a few of those 5v5 are Hero shooters. Warhammer is about War........hard to get that war vibe with 4v4-6v6 teams.

I will laugh if he becomes accidentally half right and it's named that because a manufactorim in that sector makes rogal dorn tanks.
Only thing that's got me worried is the lack of faction classic weapons. No chainaxe, no power longsword, no power maul, no power claws. Really hoping those are revealed later. If i can't be a Black Templar Champion, or a World Eater Berserker, or a Night Lord Raptor, imma be miffed.
Would be kinda lame if you can wear world eaters armor but youre stuck with a bolter the whole time

@@lopesj6670 I'm going to assume they will have the same class customization as the loyalist.
Probably gonna stick with 4 or 5 standard loyalist legio and the same number of traitor then release new chapters and traitors behind pay wall. Such as a white scar upgrade kit for $20 get the colors, skulls, horse mane tails, curved chain sword. Basically an upgrade spur. Then wait to release heavy gravis interssesors and librarians in whole DLCs
If World War Z is anything to go by I think Saber's gonna be with this game for the long haul cuz WWZ wasn't that successful I believe but they stuck with the game and kept updating it consistently.. so there's hope that even if the faction specific weapons don't come during launch they might add it later on

Kind of reminds me of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. The Co-Op Campaign is happening congruent of the single player campaign. They are happening at the same time, but are parallel of each other with limited interactions.

The Macragge's Chosen is showing the three bonus items (Ultra themed) on an "unpainted" marine so they pop out.

Man...the Macragges Chosen thing is just having the character model in plain grey so the cosmetics in that pack stand out. It's a pauldron with the Crux Terminatus, a bolter skin, and a chainsword skin. The rest of the model is greyboxed so the cosmetics pop more.
I just hope I get to play as an 80s era noise marine with a murder guitar with the whammy bar activated underslung bolter 🎸.
A little worried that the Chaos Marines will be class locked by Legion

I could be wrong, but at 46:33 the DG guy looks like he doesn't have a shield, so that's hope there.
Definitely not gonna happen, it'll just be like choosing chapters for the loyal marines. Some of the displayed options are just thematic, not locked.
I’m sure you’ll be able to pick your colors and symbols. In one of the shots of the customization screen, when it’s showing the imperial fist and dark angel, they both still have ultramarine iconography on their shoulder pads. Plus, there are a few shots where a world eater is playing as tactical.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I know that I’m pretty worried about accessibility to new armors but we gotta have a little hope ;)

I was set on the Collector’s Edition, but as a PC player, it didn’t make sense as we don’t get a physical disc for the steelbook so it’s kinda pointless. Also not a big fan of the statue being just half of Titus. So I’m glad they have this Ultra Edition. Cannot wait

I'm a bit worried that the 2 armors with crests shown in character edition (one of them, with mohawk crest is used in the first shot of co-op) are from ultra edition. They are shown locked and both fit description of Ultramarine Champions.
The Macragge’s Chosen DLC is just the non-white items in the pic (Crux Terminatus, chain sword, bolter skins). They chose to do it that way to highlight the items, but clearly it didn’t work 😂
They HAVE to let us have full color control of our marines, how will everyone make their hombrew chapters, the coolest part of space marines.

The main thing i'd love to see is that we can equip the different armour marks to different classes for the effects. Would love to be a Gravis Blade Guard and just be the thickest tank for my team.

I think the Macragge's Chosen white armour is just to show that it's the Crux Terminatus shoulder pad, the chainsword and bolter, not a whole armour (so here it's just a blank to not be confused what it includes).
Also I'm really bloody hyped for this game, especially the campaign and co-op modes. Hope we get some nice cosmetics so I can play either Black Templars or Dark Angels with lots of bling and cool weapons!

My only hope is all the classes are balanced enough that doesnt end up being jumpack spam . Hopefuly there would be a disable enable class funtion in the custom matches so freinds can have fun narrative games like a phobos squad vs a legionare kill team

I can't wait for this game. Most anticipated game in a longtime and looking like the best 40k game ever made. That said, would love if they follow this up with a Chaos story expansion or spin off. Playing a story as a Chaos Lord.

the items in the pre-order bonus are coloured, the marine they are on is not to make the specific items pop. its not a white skin for the marine
Now with the making of this game it could have the bones to create a literal battlefield style game but with titans and space marines

Also, Valrak, there is a slow motion mode for RUclips that makes it a lot easier to showcase and talk about videos like this. Would make it a lot easier than slowly tapping repeatedly back and forth.
15:08 I agree I hope we get this game with a bigger space marine fireteam or a future game/expansion with the same. Ideally I’d say 6 for the current classes they talk about, but with the option for multiple players to rock the same class if they want.

The macragge's chosen isn't a new chapter. If you look the marine is greyed out and the items you get in the dlc are coloured.
Sabre Interactive are just solid at cutscenes and animations, they did the cutscenes for the first Halo Wars game

He then left, taken essentially hostage by a rogue inquisitor and was then found by the deathwatch, interrogated and then allowed to serve as a black shield before being found and reintegrated into the ultramarines. In the start of the trailer he has black trim. That’s 5th company. He’s speaking to acheran 2nd company captain.
The heavy class is the gravis armour one. Hope we get aggressors gaunlets as weapon options. Not just melta gun, heavy bolt rifles, multimelta and melta rifles.
I want 3 player operations from a chaos perspective. If there was a death guard mission I would play that all the time. I love chaos and hope they get a lot of love too. I really want there to be good chaos marine customization for the 6v6, but It would he cool to have operations to use that stuff in coop too.
The "mohawk" just gave me a thought. I would pay real money for a classic noise marine (assuming I like and play the game enough to justify it)

I predict deathwatch and grey knights will be introduced through story dlcs and bring their own customization options with them. And obviously, terminator armor has to be in the game.
Hopefully carcharadon customization is there at launch
As far as my thoughts on 6v6, it depends on how big the maps will be. For example, I loved playing 4 player lan party with my friends in halo ce but when I played 4v4 or 5v5 online halo ce, it was miserable because everyone was too cramped and getting killed secs after respawning. More than anything, I hope they have a variety of pvp modes. Would love if they brought back the dreadnought game mode.
I swear they need to use this in game engine and then turn it into a warframe fashioned mmo. To start off, you start in a first founding chapter as a scout marine, and work your way up for an opportunity to become a captain. Then after that your own custom chapter. But instead of Dojo’s we have imperial ships, and instead of collecting dolls, we collect armors and weapons. Including ground vehicle. But leave out the stupid ninja lvl system. And to level up your status you have to solo survival. That would be epic!!!
Kids that pay you five dollars a month and then complain to pay another company five dollars a month is goofy. I’ll happily pay however much they want to charge me for blood angels armor. Happy to support them for making this game.
This looks EPIC! If it's as good as SM1 we will be in for a belter! PVP has to be upgraded and will be once they grasp how big the online actually is. We've needed this for so long. Now I just want a really good FPS call of duty style 40k game. Mass carnage!
Would love a destiny kind of armor system where you can buy armor skins of ones you really like, and then you can place them on-top of your really good armor that may not look the way you want it
How much customization for Titus in the campaign? Helmet in cutscenes, armor classes etc…?
I dont know if he says it later but I think the "Heavy" class is where all the gravis armoured stuff will go, the eradicater and the heavy bolt rifle

Adding this bit couse I think it would be neat.
While I was averse to playing pvp, I am starting to want to try.
+ I kind of want a game mode like what ubisoft did with "for honour". There is a central capture point where AI minion (guard for the imperials, cultist for chaos) charge and clash over. You can fight and easily kill the minons but have to also contend with players.
I wonder how will they balance the chaos side of the pvp.
Like loyalists has phobos and all of that but chaos only has the basic power armour.
I think i saw the death guard using sword and shield idk.
Or maybe this be the game where the chaos marines finally get some new gear.

Chains are a World Eater tradition adopted by Sigismund then later adopted by the Black Templars.
Hardware Limitations. 3 players with the amount of enemies they are going to throw at you is probably the most they could do and have the processing power to keep the game running smooth especially on console. Same goes for 6v6 in multiplayer. They probably could do 4 but then the amount of enemies it would take for the game not to be a cakewalk at that point would be so much that the game would be running at like 15 fps on consoles or mid-lower end PC’s.

Im almost certain the reason they went with only 6v6 pvp is because they have to put the game out on the xbox series S. Every other console can probably handle more but the S is limiting them and they had to decide between graphical quality or larger pvp. They also probably want the game to ve easier to balance and when you have a single game size that becomes easier. Also 6v6 is what most competitive games run (besides overwatch) so they may have added that to support possible competitive leagues
Getting imperial guard skins for hell divers 2 would be awesome!!!
Helldivers 2 isnt overdoing it with the Cosmetic DLCS either i think i paid like 20-30€ for cosmetics so with the games price im not even at a normal Triple A titles price. You can pick everything they made in the past you never miss out on anything and its not overpriced. I hope Spacemarine 2 will take a look at how Helldivers did it.
