There's definitely gonna be a Deathwatch tutorial/opening mission. It would be interesting to see Titus interacting with marines from other chapters, especially with him as a Blackshield.
@@Damnedlegion40kTitus was wiped from the chapter records so he became a blackshield bc he thought the chapter didn’t want him. It wasn’t until Tigurius told him why he had been wiped did he go back.
Don't forget they wrote the new lore on Titus in the board game and in White Dwarf. Titus is a Blackshield in the Deathwatch. He gets seriously injured when the Deathwatch deploy to a world with the tyranids and an Ultramarines Apothecary finds him and he's near death. When the apothecary is healing him he realises his DNA profile matches the one they have on record for Titus and then he eventually gets reinducted into the chapter. So this will just be an intro mission which covers that.
would have honestly been cool if the pauldron was part of his default design. having a chain with an inquisition symbol on it isnt really a common thing to see on marines who served under the deathwatch
Probably gonna be a deathwatch intro mission, where you ‘die’ at the end of and that’s when he crosses the rubicon primaris, that’s maybe where the armouring cutscene comes from?
you aint gotta tell me to strap in val, i always have a strap on also, lieutenant is from french origin. its not an american thing, and the british adopted it from france. often the spelling "left" and "lieu" which is the word for place are interchangable because lieu can also be spelled "leuf". its more of a case on synonyms. there ya go val, youre speaking french
Nah, dog, when you are getting your cheeks clapped in a world war, I'm not using your language or way of speaking, especially when talking about the military. No thanks bro. Btw I'm kidding
Deathwatch is cool and all, BUT it’d be cool if WE were in the deathwatch and was able to customize with deathwatch accessories (THAT SILVER ARM WILL BE MINE)
I agree really not a fan of ultramarines at all I will enjoy it nonetheless but if it was a squad of deathwatch marines you could customise which chapters they were from that would be way more interesting.
Basically any interaction with the Mechanicus in the lore. -Random Tech Priest “Ah! Praise the Omnissiah it’s (Insert imperium faction here)” -imperium faction “Shut Up.”
Hmmm, so my theory: We start as Deathwatch, Titus gets a wee bit messed up (maybe from that fall?) and is made into a primaris to make him survive. Then he's returning to the Ultramarines (maybe he is found by them on the ground injured, and they are the ones that save him). Titus is recognized, gets reintroduced to the chapter - hence the armouring ritual in this trailer, that's the first time he'll wear the blue again. He has to be a "new arrival" to the Ultramarines in the campaign, there were multiple voice lines that kinda confirm this from the previous 6min trailer: Captain Scottish says: You're a lieutenant now. - most likely meaning Titus has just been assigned a rank. The two squadmembers remark at some point that how many service studs Titus has - that to me means that most likely noone/barely anyone in the second company knows him.
There should be some firstborn who recognize him. After all its just been 100 years since Titus was captain of 2nd company, hell maybe even Leandros is still alive and atleast Calgar, Tigurius and and his successor Cato Sicarius knew him personally.
Hopefully its not JUST the Ultramarines dealing with the tyranid threat in the current campaign, cuz im pretty sure your gonna need 2 Chapters of marines if your gonna keep 3 planets(that is if they can successfully tack back tge chaos one). But hey, a sort of tutorial that serves as Titus' flashback in the deathwatch would be awesome. Hopefully we get to see what happened to Inquisitor Thrax too
The lore from the White Dwarf says he’s a Blackshield and is injured on a mission. Tigurius recognizes him and the ultramarine recover him and he crosses the rubicon. I think we see that as the intro and then the scene of him talking to the captain with the beard in command room about being a LT.
I'm surprised Valrak hasn't played World War Z just for the sake of getting his hands on the engine. Gameplay, UI, and A LOT of other details shown are very very similar if not the same.
I don't know if this has been mentioned before but the chainsword titus had in the deathwatch scene is the exact same one he had in the first space marine!
I forget which book in the new dominus crusade era books with Guilliman, but he himself says he that he sees kinship with the primaris ultramarines because they are technically from the 30k era and remind him more of his legion of old in temperment compared to the marines born of the 41st millennium who are born into this age of hopelessness and dispair.
I am just going to say this from few months ago when a white dwarf came out an article of Titus that going be the start of SM 2! We be seeing chief librarian Tigris saving Titus and rendezvous with the first company captain to begin Titus transformation into a primaris marine.
Would like to see the game keep extending its co op beyond just aiding the Ultra Marines with a down the line with a DEATH WATCH CHRONICLES mode. Then you take your chapter of choice colors like we see for at least the PvP and bring it further onward. Granted would limit everyone to black armor. Be nice for a season. Either way im kind of hoping to be able to customize Chapter colors and the likes that we know is for the PvP and have it for a co op mode. Cuz with the way things have gone with PvP, kinda leaning more into Co Op these days and Helldivers 2 just proved my point of thinking that more of what we could ue and it being quite profitable.
all the material they've released for this game looks so promising. the different game modes each look like fun and the new engine is impressive. the customizability of your kit and unlockable bits looks like tons of fun and will give me a chance to play as my favorites or just make something wild.
