Having that info would be very helpful yes! I want to see which is cheaper, my local hobby store? Or this male order business? Shopping around is a wise decision.👍👌
The idea of having a sharps disposal in the packaging of the blades is a great idea, if you tossed a blade in the trash and stabbed yourself when you take it out you could really mess your hand up. I usually tape mine to a piece of cardboard and then tape a second piece of cardboard on top of it, but that seems a lot more convenient.
@@ZakuAurelius Yeah, at work we have Olfa blades (highly recommended) and their spare blades also come in these plastic containers, with which you can break off the dull blade and it falls into the little compartment, as well as having new blades in another next to it. Pretty useful imho.
I got both the 0.3mm & 0.2mm precision airbrushes last month. Tried the 0.3mm recently and its quite good. The build quality is nice too. Not like the cheap ones u get. And they're my first airbrushes that are not in stainless steel appearance (pink and blue) hehe. Lets hope the finish is durable.
I can assure you they were durable enough, but beware of using tool wash for the airbrush, mine internal seal has broke so better invest in using hobby grade tool wash rather industrial thinner
I live in Taiwan and we have a decent amount of Hobby Mio distributors on online stores. My experiences with these products are hit and miss. The sanding papers were really great that I tend to buy them over Tamiya now. On the other hand the portable vacuum cleaner is basically useless now because the metal film that connects to the battery snapped after less than a week of use.
@@MrJhound4 I don't really want to get into the whole political discussion here on a model kit review channel, but basically "someone" gets really salty whenever Taiwan is stated as a country rather than as that someone's territory
a portable compressor is handy at a met up with other modelers, at my place we have a mall that has a model kit building area complete with its own cafe.
The nipper is good for the price, cuts almost like Godhand SPN120 due to the thin blade ... although build quality wise SPN120 is far far better. The paint is less smelly than Alchemy and their sanding sandpaper is very durable ... hobby mio will be my 2nd choice if i couldnt find godhands kamiyasu supplies
Hey!! great video, I found their website to try some stuff, like the nippers, (please review those), decals and other things I saw. But their website is all in Chinease, If you are in contact with them, please suggest them to have a web page in English. Thanks.
Hey Zak, really enjoyed this video. Really excited to see more of this brand of products. I have seen your replies down in the comments saying that USAGS will start carrying this brand. Do you think you can talk to Adam about bringing the airbrushes over? Would be interested to see what the prices are for them and could be a good starter airbrush if the price is right.
@@ZakuAurelius sounds great! I would love to try out the nippers and see how they stack up against usags' and that little tool holder looks real nice too
i am from china and i have been in this hobby for ten years . most of mio's products are unnecessary or replaceable . so i have had never bought any from mio . and until today still none of their product touch me .
No need to apologize for a long video. I watched it all the way.
Thanks!
I would’ve liked to hear some price points to be able to compare while watching.

Yep that’s why I love Tamiya refill cartridges. These work a little different but do the same thing

I wish Mio (or even DSPIAE) would make a guillotine-style cutter for pla plate (Evergreen Chopper II for reference).
A rivet/circular punch would also be nice.
@@WilliamHatton0 dspiae does have a circular cutter, not sure if thats something similar
Just sooner or later,as you know the modelling market is quite big in china
@@WilliamHatton0 you should check DSPIAE MT-C 2.0 or MT-EC.
Good news: DSPIAE took a screenshot of my comment and confirmed that they have been working on a prototype of pla plate cutter.

Quick question: Is Taiwan still a country?
@@MrJhound4 yes
@@flamestoyershadowkill What's the deal with that being a bad thing to say?
@@MrJhound4 I don't really want to get into the whole political discussion here on a model kit review channel, but basically "someone" gets really salty whenever Taiwan is stated as a country rather than as that someone's territory
@@KrisHomemadeBaking Thanks for that short and sweet answer. I was just curious and the opportunity presented itself to ask the question.
I use some of their products. Their's paints and thinners actually not bad.
Sanding products and table vacuum are actually nice get.
14:13 wet palette def looks nice. Cool stuff and good to have new choices. Hoping we see them in the States in the future. Great overview review thx!
Anyone know the best way to get a hold of HM products in the US? I really want to try their airbrush/compressor. Maybe even the hand vacuum, too.
The hammer is for the metal rods that are used to hold resin kits together. Not 100% necessary but a convenient tool when building large resin kits.
Ah that’s true! Forgot about that
For paint shaking I highly recommend a vortex mixer. Since I got one my elbos have been doing better.

Hmm interesting i will deff check these guys out. I like that dust vacuum. I have been working with resin. So that would come in handy
Hi Zak i think most of anti static tweezers are made of ceramic Tip.
love the Gunpla Builders Association tee.
Honestly curious about that more cube like compressor, if it works just as a well as a normal one id definitely consider it.
24:00 safety first bro
I have the nippers and they are actually good
Wonder if one can fit #11 blades into this....
This is a lot of fun! Thank you for sharing!
Mio nipper is one of my wishlist. Please review it soon
Antistatic tweezers, those should be ceramic. I have a similar set for small electrical jobs.
Its red so its faster , they have some thing like that printed on it
already buy hobbymio nipper , dust cleaner , sand papper n beginner penbrush
its very good n not killing my wallet 👍
Wow nice cutting pen
I love how the Dark Knight has a Mech fohawk!
It's kinda dumb, but, there's worse out there.
Like the EVAs! Lol!!!
I might pickup that desk vacuum cleaner cause I'm lazy
I wish these raising chinese hobby brands' products became properly available in europe
Most of this stuff looks quite neat

btw ... i've bought the airbrush ... not so good better invest in Procon or Iwata
It's not thin blade but single edge
I am curious how good are those UV decals
Planning to use some soon 👌
@@ZakuAurelius I just bought the regular ones, it still on shipping. might buy the UV after your review

that intro though!
Hmm i could actually use a waterslide book.
Hey Zaku, any chance that USAgundamstore is going to pick these up?
Yes! Working on it

I’ll mention that!
"Ho___" and "Mio" made me do a double-take...
These tools look awesome, and that kit looks awesome. Also very nice shirt! Will USAGS be carrying any of these Hobby Mio tools?
Yes we will! Working that out and hopefully gonna start receiving stock soon

I'm using this brand and got to say I love it. Hope they make more nipper tho😅
Anyone know where I can buy?
USA Gundam store soon!
This gives an urge to eat Jollibee for some reason.
no promo code? hehe
We don’t carry this stuff yet but will soon!
Those nippers look a lot like the DSPIAE 3.0
Given the fact that both brands are from China, there is a chance that they use the same OEM.
👍

F*CK! That's why I cant find them in Google. It's HobbyMIO not Hobby MiE. The O looks like an E.
lol. Made in China. WTF ?
Yeah most hobby tools are 🤷♂️
