I want to say that I appreciate the time you took to make this video on how to build your own battery pack and also giving us the information where to get everything we need to build one. You're a blessing my man. Keep up the good work!
Wow I have been waiting for a step by step lithium how to for so long never really understood how to build these but after watching this video you made it look so simple! Keep up the good work!!
Was about to drop over $1000 on some lithium but reconsidering after watching this. Alway love building my own stuff and saving money, so thanks Parker! Keep it up!
Wow I've been waiting for this one..im.innthe middle of building me a daily budget build..and you did an amazing job at breaking it all down..I've been following for while so keep these good vids coming..
I went to coventry buss bars and ordered a set of their 105ah buss bars. Holds 52 headway cells, 13 cells per bank. Little pricey, about $310 but really thick machined aluminum. They have different sizes too. Thanks for the ideas Parker!
Badass man thank you for making the video and sharing it. I don't know why there are 5 thumbs down but I guess when you are doing things it always comes with a few haters!
Probably because he linked the wrong balancer and it burnt up on them like mine. He linked a 1volt balancer and it appears he used a 2.7 in the vid. Probably didn't do more research and ar mad at him. Lol
Thanks for this vid bro.. I'm on the bench tryna figure out if these are worth it.. the vids I've seen on them are a big yes compared to agms.. very helpful vid
Bruh, no comparison without a doubt lol I have a juice box 20ah (it would be around half of this I believe) on my test bench with two xs power agm's a d3400 and a d3100 and I'm able to play my soundqubed Q4500.1 all day long without it ever dropping below 12v and I just top em off with a Schumacher smart charger that is 2/6/100amp and there is atleast twice the capacity that it had before I added the juice box... juice box claims their 20ah alone can support 5k watts on a 200amp alt
Hey Parker. Man I've been watching your videos for a now and have learned a lot. So keep doin what you're doin. So with that being said. I'm fairly new to car audio and have a question i hope you can answer. Can one of those headway banks be used under the hood if they're in the plastic case. Again I love the way you're going with your channel. So i will definitely keep watching and learning. Thanks
What an absolutely PERFECT video man! Thank you. This had me in the dark for so long and you explained it all perfectly. I see this is an older video. Is this still the go to tech? I’ve been hearing about CMAX cells and something called “SCIB.”
that is a great idea I will suggest using a 1/8" ticker material aluminum sheet so the amperage will be always strong but bro awesome I see potential here 😊
Awesome videos Parker. I was looking forward to seeing you put together bank #2. I'm really looking forward to seeing how well the bank does with your MD 12K at fault tilt! Good luck, Man!! Good news for me as well, I just ordered 240 (A123 systems - 26650 cells) to build a 150 amp hour LiFePO4 battery. It should be capable of supporting 3000 amps @ 12+ volts, so 38,000 watts. Let's hope she does as well as the math says she will do.
I just bought a "beast module" from battery hookup for $341. It comes with 32 headway cells in a steel box but once you ditch the enclosure you have module with the spacer ends and copper buss bars covered with acrilic or lexan all assembled can install it in a box or not.. It's a 24v pack but they said on one side cut the center busses in half and you have 2 12 v modules. So I ordered 2 of the balancers you list on the info.
Amazing video. I really need help understanding sizing on these and series/parallel considerations. If I want to support a 10,000 watt system, should I add 3 runs of 1/0 on the inside terminals? Also, what should I get in terms of mah and other considerations for a battery bank that will support such watts. Because a Salt8k wants 3 runs of 1/0, that means 900 possible amps of flow!! Can I make a battery sized up enough to support such discharge? I really am struggling to understand required amps from a bank of LIFEPO4 cells. How many amps can this one you demonstrated support? Am I going about this the wrong way in my thought process? Just want to understand how to scale up to 10,000 watts supported by cells. Thanks for any of your time!!
This was amazing to watch! Really gotta try this out. Btw, how does charging this bank work? Is it crucial upgrading the alternator or will it "work" like with normal batteries even if not upgrading it? Ur killing it man 👌🏼
Great video as usual great info but, the link for the balancer is dead. What brand and size balancer is it 3s, 4s or what? Thanks and keep the great content coming
I built this same bank according to your video. Just curious as to how thick your busbars are. I order 1/8” thick aluminum and made my own. I want to be sure this is thick enough to handle 3000w rms for my audio system before I put it to use. I also order a 1/4” thick piece as well
I just bought 52 of these headway lithium supercell. I'm using it for my taramps md8k and excessive amperage 340a alternator. I'm hoping its enough power for it Haha.
Thanks for the info and the links, I just placed my order to build 128 ah pack. Curious though, I really don't want to spend another $60 for a specific charger so how did you handle the issue? Again thanks for the info
Yeah you should definitely build them and sell them. Still wondering can you have a lithium second battery with a factory battery or die one have to be agm and one lithium?
great video, I went a different route and purchased 4 105ah cells, and I think I need a balancer, 1 of the cells is retaining more voltage over the rest, I paid $255, now they are a little more expensive and even going up higher then $400, btw that link for the balancer doesn't work anymore!
I have the same cells in the same orientation but I don't know what I did wrong I hooked up my balancer the same as you I thought and my balancer went up in smoke as soon as I plugged it in.... Other than the black on the negitive does it matter which color goes where on the positives... I didnt put any particular colors on certain positives...
Thanks again bro lots of information I just have 3000 watt system so what would u recommend for me agm or a bank also do u have to charge them all the time that’s my biggest concern????
Very informative video Parker. I’m planning on running one of these batteries. Could I do a battery delete up front and just run the car and my system off of just this battery?
You didnt use a BMS for this battery? How is a balancer sufficient? And when you hook it up to your alternator, will you need a dc to dc charger to limit the amperage draw to the pack?
Great video! Can I do this with 16 instead of 32? I would assume so but will be researching it. Still putting system together. Thanks for your videos !!
Parker I add this lituim bank in my car and when I first turned the amp on a pop came through subs.now amp comes on but no sound before that bank my system stayed in the 14 volt now the bank its in the 13 volt. I also changed my ground location that the only thing .
What alternator do you guys run with these? I’m not building a sounds system I’m doing a dual battery setup for a overland 91 suburban and I’m also going to hook a solar system to it as well.
Hey Parker, this is Rodney what site did you order your battery box from. I watch your video constantly your pretty cool dude, I like what your doing keep it up..
Hey Parker! Love your videos. I just built a headway bank and i want to use it in parallel with my agm batteries as you did here and i would use an isolater but i there is alot of people that say not to do it, or that the agms wont even add any extra power unless the lipo4 bank drops to 12.6 at which point the lipo would be close to dead. I would think that the agm would help power a system with no issues while using an isolater. How was your experience running lipo4 with agm?
I just got s nice taramps bass8k for 420$ shipped, i have a 270a js alt and currently havent got into my batterys yet. 950cca jnder the hood, and double runs of 0 gauge into my trunk. My box is a 4th order for an 18 inch sub and takes up 95% of the space in my hatchback. Ive removed the spare tire but it has large hump in the middle pf the well, and as such i only have about 6 inches of wifth between walls to hump all arpund to place batteries. I was going to just buy 4 smaller 35ah agms but would it be possible to jerry rig up 16 or 32 of these in a circular formation so i could fitmitnin my spare tire cavity?
The links don't work anymore. And now they have better and different shape (square) cells. Can you update the links? I want to power a 6000watt system with as much ah asi can afford. I also want the height to be as low as possible so it can fit in the tire well in the trunk. Thank you for your help and great video!
I want to say that I appreciate the time you took to make this video on how to build your own battery pack and also giving us the information where to get everything we need to build one. You're a blessing my man. Keep up the good work!
I will need one to run a system of 2200 watts
Wow I have been waiting for a step by step lithium how to for so long never really understood how to build these but after watching this video you made it look so simple! Keep up the good work!!
Thanks man glad it helped!
Was about to drop over $1000 on some lithium but reconsidering after watching this. Alway love building my own stuff and saving money, so thanks Parker! Keep it up!
Yep.... Definitely going to have to build my own lithium soon. Thanks for the in depth video. Killing it man
Thanks man!! It’s definitely the way to go
Wow I've been waiting for this one..im.innthe middle of building me a daily budget build..and you did an amazing job at breaking it all down..I've been following for while so keep these good vids coming..
Ive been waiting on some money to add Lithium Parker you are getting better and better at this keep it up
Thanks so much man!
I second that emotion
This is really exciting. I will be doing this for my van conversion. Thank you
Thank you for this tutorial!! I have been wondering how to build these myself!!
You are very welcome!
Thanks bro definitely might build one.Great video explaining everything!
My dude thank you SSSOOOO MUCH!!! Been trying to figure this out you have helped me emmensly!!
I went to coventry buss bars and ordered a set of their 105ah buss bars. Holds 52 headway cells, 13 cells per bank. Little pricey, about $310 but really thick machined aluminum. They have different sizes too. Thanks for the ideas Parker!
I just ordered me a 40 ah set I'm just confused on what kind of bms
made mine outta scrap at work!
And now on Nov 11th 2022 I just got the cells at 5 bucks each I got 38 of them great video as usual
Been watching for a while but never subbed. Definately subscribed, and rung the notification bell after this vid. Thanks
I really appreciate you
I had a hammer crimper and didn't realize I'd be needing it until recently!
Very nice video, I'm a subscriber. Can't wait to build my own at some point.
Lol
Can’t wait to see the new alt and second lithium in. Let that 12k eat!
Me either!!
@@ParkerTheBasshead Can't wait, man! Looking awesome so far! That 12k is gonna love it. Now, all you need are some subs that can handle the power!
Thanks for this vid bro.. I'm on the bench tryna figure out if these are worth it.. the vids I've seen on them are a big yes compared to agms.. very helpful vid

Great video again wow where do you learning all this stuff. Keep up the good work and great content.
Learn from watching tons of other videos!
passion for creating content💪
Nicely done 💪🏼

Thanks man will do!
It would be cool to have the referenced "previous video" either in the description or ideally with an overhead link
Yeah Parker your the Man......appreciate you..
that is a great idea I will suggest using a 1/8" ticker material aluminum sheet so the amperage will be always strong but bro awesome I see potential here 😊
Thanks!! Yeah I’ll be upgrading these plates if I find I need to
@@ParkerTheBassheaddid you upgrade?

Quick question so what if the dimensions of the box is too big for the lithium batteries would there be another alternative to geth them to fit?
Your job is awesome
Yeah you should definitely build them and sell them. Still wondering can you have a lithium second battery with a factory battery or die one have to be agm and one lithium?

Good video bud!
How do the headway cells manage cold weather? I live in Canada and -20C is common but can get as cold as -35 where I live.
Any new links to cells that are decently priced? Im trying to hook something up for around 5k watts and want to use my agm in the front still.
I’ve been told these are good at 14 volts compared to other banks would I do them x4 or x5
Sometime in the future can you maybe try the eminence lab 12 subwoofer.
Great work as usual,What's the price to build it for someone and shipped
I have a question what capacity should I buy on the website that sells the cells?
Very informative video Parker. I’m planning on running one of these batteries. Could I do a battery delete up front and just run the car and my system off of just this battery?
You can run 4 cells up front and whatever in the back
You didnt use a BMS for this battery? How is a balancer sufficient? And when you hook it up to your alternator, will you need a dc to dc charger to limit the amperage draw to the pack?
Great video! Can I do this with 16 instead of 32? I would assume so but will be researching it. Still putting system together. Thanks for your videos !!
You can.. Im building 2 32 cell and 1 16 cell.. Just habe to pack empty space in battery box
How did you balance the cells did you use a power supply to charge them?
Parker I add this lituim bank in my car and when I first turned the amp on a pop came through subs.now amp comes on but no sound before that bank my system stayed in the 14 volt now the bank its in the 13 volt. I also changed my ground location that the only thing .
This is great, can you charge them using a car alternator?
hell yea i would love to get one
I’ll make an update video or post when boxes come in and I start building them
So if I build a lithium bank for the trunk do I have to have a agm under the hood or is a lead battery ok and also will I need a isolater
Did you do anything else to your battery like charge it or just build it an toss it in and business as usual?
Awesome video
I appreciate you!
Any better balancers to use? I see nothing but bad reviews on Amazon for this one.
What alternator do you guys run with these? I’m not building a sounds system I’m doing a dual battery setup for a overland 91 suburban and I’m also going to hook a solar system to it as well.
Just checking how did the lithium did and also did you mixed with agm batt?
IF you decide to sale these I’ll definitely purchase one at a reasonable price, taking time and labor into consideration... sign me up....
Yeah, let me know too Parker
Question, this battery fine to use as an addition to existing battery or would I have to delete the stock battery?
This video on point thanks
what type of charger should you use?
amazing. thank you!
Hey Parker, this is Rodney what site did you order your battery box from.
I watch your video constantly your pretty cool dude, I like what your doing keep it up..
Awesome 👍. How many ah is your lithium battery bank?
What kind of charger will I need?? What did you use?
How high can you charge them and how reliable are they can these catch on fire
is heat not an issue inside the battery box?
If my charging voltage is 14.7 would i be able to use this bank for that? Or would the cells be damaged at that voltage?
How long do headway banks last if operated normal.
Do these handle okay in cooler weather??
Is this balancer not to small or slow to balance a pack this big?
How do u charge the battery while playing your car audio ?.

After the initial charge will the battery just charge with youre alternator?
NICE BRO!!!
Thanks dude!!
i like the video what would it cost to have you build one
So if I had an agm battery under the hood would this run fine in the back for the subs or would the two different batteries not be good?
Can you run this with a stock alt or a normal high output that charges at 14.5 ish
So why you didn't add a bms that balancer won't protect the battery while it charging
How big of a bms balancer do i need for 40ah headway?
You came along way
Can these be charged with an agm charger?
The links don't work anymore. And now they have better and different shape (square) cells. Can you update the links? I want to power a 6000watt system with as much ah asi can afford. I also want the height to be as low as possible so it can fit in the tire well in the trunk. Thank you for your help and great video!
I try to order those busbar plate but they're not available
i want to make one for 3500 watts, is there a way to make a smaller version? Might be a dumb question.
Is it better to build two of these or build one big one 120+ah
Won't you need a much larger BMS?
I ordered the same BMS, it went up in flames when connecting the 3rd +
Can you pair this back with your front agm battery ??
Have you sold the battery yet? If so how much?
How many cells will i need for a 48ah??
