Man, I would be pissed if somebody set those metal braces on top of my engine cover. Nobody takes care of your car like it’s theirs anymore. This is why I do all the work myself dealers don’t give a crap about your car. I took mine to the dealer a while back and got it back and they were keeping it in a parking lot that was rock and dirt, and my windows were rolled down on a windy day and there was dirt/sand everywhere inside my car. Then the dealer said I will detail it. Yeah, like I would do that. They would scratch the crap out of it with all that dirt/ sand inside my car absolutely pitiful. If they can’t check the filters and treat the car nicely and not set metal brackets on a plastic engine cover do you think they know how to detail a car without scratching it nope. And the dude knocked the door as well. Dealers really suck!
I opened the door very careful but when I tried to fit myself in, the outside door handle hit the lift frame, luckily no dent/damage. Thanks for watching.
@@WrenchingRyan I’m glad no dent. Good service over all tho. 👍🏼 Also I’m shocked that the Genesis G80 has access panels for the oil and filter. I thought it was a universal thing for the same power plant between the brands.
I will he upgrading the brake disc's soon on ours. Horrible braking on my wife's Stinger. Drove it today & was reminded how shitty it is. Good video, maybe try & watch that door swing into the lift tho.
Upgrading brake disc is a great idea. Yeah I did gently hit the outside door handle when I swing it and trying to get in to check the cabin filter. No ding/dent tho. Thanks for watching.
That was cool. I just took my Stinger to a Hyundai dealership and they didn't button up the splash guard and it ended up dragging down the freeway. Hella irritated 😤
Dragging something down after service is not acceptable, I always told my apprentice to double check their work first before returning vehicle to customers, thank you for checking out my channel.
@CAR Laws Channel etc. you do realize you have video evidence there is literally no foam. Can pause it clear as day. Thats all painted steel you hit the door with.

First of all thank you for watching my video, 2nd I appreciate you sharing your experience on other dealerships, 3rd kudos for doing-it-yourself 👊👊👊
You did it and recorded everything perfectly, thanks a lot!👍👍👍
Thanks, you’re welcome!
Thanks for this, I’ve read the stinger needs a service every 6 months so this will help people. If you ever do a spark plug change please upload it.
I’m glad this video helped out, I will upload spark plug change soon. Thanks for watching.
Appreciate the videos. Keep them coming.
I will, thanks for watching.

Nice car! Good video.
It sure is!
Love how he opened the door and bonked the door against the lift frame.

Maybe good idea to remove scuff plate so oil doesnt mess it up. Dealers in Australia do.
Good idea, thanks for sharing.
So, with a Kia V6 there’s no need to remove the dipstick and oil filler cap, nor warm the engine before draining the oil?
when the engine is warm, dipstick and oil cap are both off the oil will drain a lot faster, it’s just gonna speed up the process.

What were you using to clean the underside of the engine?
Brake cleaner…
What size socket is used on oil filter ? Please and thank you
@@HalfEvil-lj4ru it’s 27mm socket. Thanks for watching.
@@WrenchingRyan Thank You

@@WrenchingRyan Bet. Thanks a lot!
@@yok3nny no problem, thanks for watching.

No problem. Thanks for watching.

Great work, where are you guys located?
Thanks, we are in Oregon.
Except for the part where he dented the customer’s door on the lift.

I will never take my stingergt2 to dealership.
@@donbaird3826 your car your rules and your choice.
Did you just hit the door on the lift when you opened it? Not very careful with customers cars I see.
I did, sounds hard but not really and I had foam installed each side. Thanks for watching.
I came down here to see if anyone else noticed the door slam 😂

Now I know why dents and scratches magically appear on my car after it's serviced. I blamed my wife for years. I owe her an apology 😂
That’s why I do all the work on my Stinger…
Lol starts to almost be safe opening passenger door, then door dings it. Pffff
Camera pick it up pretty well but no ding/dent on the door.
