    I think Olson's just in his own head. Maybe we need to do a standing O for him, a la Trea Turner last year(remember last year when Arcia was better than Trea Turner for most of the year 😂).
    Whatever is wrong, we need to support him because we're stuck with him.

    Folks Grant & Jake (and many many of us) continue to "prop" up the Braves as some are saying, becauae thats what its all about...For fans by fans...its a simple concept, and they do point out the obvious problems...But if they're like myself... we've seen this team through the highs and lows....this is not the lowest or highest...and its certainly not over for all the instigators commenting multiple times, all negative, with nothing to offer...yall dont have to, but ya could just quit watching the braves like ya say your gonna do...oh yeah..
    Go Braves ⚾🔥💯

    I will say it again: unless the offensive output can become consistent and productive the season is in jeopardy. Despite all these injuries, we can plug in players to play those positions. But you must have offense that can score and produce. One good offensive effort out of three is not sufficient to carry a season.
    We need leadership: players and coaches alike to excite and encourage players to dig deep and really do done soul searching!
    It will not be easy but it can be done!

    I was pleasantly surprised to see Olson moved to 5th spot in lineup. He is the key to a resurgence for Braves.
    Snit needs to be much more flexible; nothing to lose so why not try different possibilities in placement in lineup???
    The key remains offensive output.

    I no longer believe the Braves should be buyers this deadline. Too many important pieces lost to injury. Albies bones are made of glass and Harris has a hamstring injury every year. Olson is just so bad this year I’m questioning him staying a starter. On any good hitting team he wouldn’t start.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 3 месяца назад +3

      But Harris has never had a hamstring injury before, so how does he have them every year? Last year he started the year off with a lower back strain, that's the only time he's been on the disabled list.

    • @JCPJCPJCP
      @JCPJCPJCP 3 месяца назад +3

      Your point is good.
      They shouldn't overspend trying to win this year.
      Acuna and Ozzie, both still young, seem prone to injury, as does Fried and, maybe, Harris.
      They should trade with next year in mind, as much as this year, unless "AA" happens to find a great deal. He gets the big bucks.
      This team seems lifeless unless one of their aces is pitching, and right now, they have only one.
      Edit: two.

    Now, does Alex have the guts to make a significant trade or is he just going to chalk this season up as a lost one and prepare for next year? hH cannot afford to be passive at this crucial time. So trade for a top line starter instead of continuing to throw young players into the fire.

    I wonder now if they will pay Ozzie after next year. He was near average over half the season as a hitter, is poor defensively, doesn't steal bases anymore, and is very injury prone. He will still command a lot on the open market I guess. Will he take another discount to stay with the Braves?

      @@josephalvarez6298 I will never say never after watching the Diamondbacks destroy the Dodgers and make the Phillies fans cry 😂 last year. San Diego upset the so called unbeatable Dodgers two years ago as well if I remember correct. The Dodgers are one of the most chokingest franchises in history, even more than the Braves. Plus they have a manager who Snit can actually manage circles around. I think the Phillies would be very nervous if they had to play us as the favorites. We just need to get in and let the chips fall.

    • @arzdiamondbacks

      @@howard2031 Snit can't manage circles around anybody. He's been exposed by Rob Thompson of the Phillies in the playoffs, last year especially. This is the same guy who tried to get Elder through 5 innings, in a playoff game, against a dangerous lineup.

      @@arzdiamondbacks I didn't say he could manage better than the Phillies mgr. He can definitely outmanage Roberts though. All you got to do is look at 2021 and ask dodger fans how they feel about Roberts. And Snit can certainly out manage the trash mgr the Cardinals put out there. Cardinals would have swept the Braves with a good manager.

    Travis D'arnaud was a real problem behind the plate. Spencer was shaking him alot. Did not like the pitch calling. Fasano was grilling Swhellenbach in the dugout because of that I'm assuming.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 3 месяца назад +3

      Problem? I don't know that was a problem? Schwellenbach's 21 Swing & Misses today are the 2nd most Swing & Misses out of all the Braves pitchers this year. The Goldschmidt homerun was a couple inches above the strike zone according to Statcast, and his 101.2 mph exit velocity on that hit was on the lower end velocity wise for a homerun (average is 104.3 mph), which made it over the fence only because he hit it around the perfect angle of 33 degrees. 9 times out of 10, that wouldn't even be a hit, but Goldschmidt was just lucky enough on that swing. Even the Alec Burleson homerun wasn't a bad pitch as it was on the very edge of the strike zone. Schwellenbach even had a sub 3 xFIP on the game at 2.97, and only 6 starting pitchers even carry that low of an xFIP on the year with Crochet, Flaherty, Glasnow, Sale, Gray, and Skubal being those 6. Sometimes you just caulk that up to great/lucky hitting, because what Schwellenbach did on the mound today wasn't bad, probably more unlucky than anything.
