I wonder how the A-spec would do against a G70 2.0t since the numbers are similar. I was a little let down that the Acura wasn’t as quick as it’s Honda counterpart, there’s a pretty big difference between the two and even the Type-S isn’t all that much quicker than the Accord 2.0t. Are we just going to pretend they matched Kia K5 top trim against the lower TLX A spec and not the Type S ? it’s the same thing they all did with the Kia Stinger GT . They matched it against BMW 330 instead of the M340i …. And the Kia Stinger GT va the A5 but not the S5 . Match Top tier from each manufacturer and let’s see what happens . For everyone who is going to say “ but the Kia is cheaper” , Let’s see how much more you lose on trade in value . My in laws bought a Kia Soul EV 2020 and after 1 year it’s lost almost 70% trade in value . $48k CAD to purchase and it’s at $15k to trade in . I bought a 2020 Infiniti q50s for 46k and after a year I’m getting $30k trade if I wanted to trade it . So if you plan on keeping the Kia or Hyundai Korean crap until it dies then go ahead but if you plan on ever trading it in for the newer model stay away from Korean cars. Edit: they wanted to trade it in because the 2021 model has more range . They currently get 114 kms on a full charge . They said they bought a Kia electric to save on fuel but the top of the line Kia Soul gas powered was $25 K and the same car with electric motor was $48k . So they paid $23k extra for the same car to save on gas . Figure they spend $100 a month in gas but it would take close to 15 years to recover the extra they paid if you include fuel per month and oil changes lol .

KIA doesn't get it. The K5 GT desperately needs LSD (Limited Slip Differential), similar to the VW Jetta GLI. The Germans have enough sense to realize running a high powered FWD car with only traction control isn't the best way to get the most out of it! I understand they won't utilize AWD because it could take away from Stinger sales (their opinion), but you'd think they'd want to get all they could out of their present setup? My confidence meter scores LOW on KIA making any sensible changes, as they'd been reluctant to acknowledge their initial mistakes on the Stinger since 2018: Fake heat extractor hood vents, body colored 1/3 upper roof panel with sunroof (instead of gloss black) & no significant increase in power over the 365 in initial release year 2018.
They made software and "enhanced shift logic" changes to the 2020 stingers.I ran a 4.2 to 60 and a 12,7 in the quarter mile in my AWD 2020 Stinger. I did not even use launch control and that time is about 8 to 10% quicker then a 2018 that used launch control.I also have my videos on here. Every car i raced at public drag night had 500 or more HP and I beat everyone and have the videos on here.I also have a video of me in the staging area for 30 minutes that you can check out and look at all the cars near me that I was about to race--nothing but vettes--street mods--challengers--and other modified cars--a K5 or Acura would have been told to go park and watch the big boys race.I am already going again in sept with a group of Ford guys and every one of those guys also has 500 plus HP cars and I plan on racing and stinging them.My best race was against a 600 HP Kenny bell lightning that I also beat--K5 and acura are not going to run against muscle cars and the Stinger can--BTW my Stinger was 36k--same as this K5 and cheaper then the Acura and it would eat those cars lunch.

That came out as expected, and another good video as per usual 😊. This is one of the few channels that gets straight to the point without any bs and has real world races.
That K5 GT is damn quick for sure, the trap speed in the quarter mile is impressive and I’m happy that Kia/Hyundai finally made a solids 8 speed dct (unlike their previous dct transmissions).
That K5 would make for a good race with a Type-S too, considering their somewhat similar trap speeds (mid ~100mph or so)
I was surprised by the Kia until I googled the weight difference. And I see they've got a little power underrating going on. Kia is really coming up!

He knows what car manufacturer people are interested in today~
Korean cars are getting an attention from people today like Korean electronics, Samsung and LG 20 yrs ago over Japanese competitors, Sony and Panasonic.
In Asia, Korean things such as culture, drama, movie, music, fashion, food, cosmetics, language, games... are dominating today.
People in other continents will also like Korean things soon.
Don’t sleep on Kia lol! I have the K5 EX which has way less HP but I still smoke some cars on the road.

Those numbers are way down on any of its direct competition. Hopefully Acura realizes this and throws more boost at it or something later, because this ain't it.
@@ClubZlut Fact check. It's 0-60 in the mid 4s. I've seen Redline reviews do it 4.7 seconds. His first few runs were like low 5s but his best run was like 4.7. Still quicker than the K5 which last I checked wasn't that cheap either.
