Its time for some performance gains on the audi tt. First step was a dyno run then the stage 1 remap.. Find out what performance gains i got just from the Mallory Performance Self Tune.

Great vid - the only thing I'd like to see is a 0-60mph or 0-100kph time difference just to see if the hp gain is across the board or just a peak number. Real world speed is more important than being a horsepower hero to me. Thanks for putting this up.

When my mk7 golf was still under warranty I had a racechip ultimate connect,that thing was the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent,it kept sending my car into limp mode,epc light.this device is amazing gonna look into it myself
I fitted a racechip to my Audi TT mark 2 2.0 8j a few weeks ago and its great. No engine light and loads more power. Did you follow the fitting instructions to the latter?
The REVO stage one put my TTs from 268bhp to 333bhp But had a sports exhaust,RamAir induction kit and runs on V-power mate 🍻👍
Yeah the induction kit and downpipes will be next...

How many seconds 0-60mph? The BHP numbers are mathematically impossible due to injector flow rating

Impressive gain if the engine is stock.
I had my mk1 tuned to stage 1 last week, on the drive home the gear box blew a hole in the back 😂😂

It's exactly a generic map for that car/engine, a customised map would be an individual rolling road tuned session specific to your own car
I think the whole custom tune rolling is just generic, pretend to add abit extra fuel in there. Like there custom tuning to your car. They fully well know they need not do anything past an generic to start with just blow your car up. Basically I think it’s bollox they would need your car on and off the rolling road 20/30 times. I bet the average is 3 times… before and after.. 3 time ohh let’s add another milligram of Fuel so think your getting a custom tune and off you go. That the basis for these custom tunes these days

It strikes me that the later version TTs with 2.0 FSI engines and more power are just factory tweaked in a similar way.
You are completely wrong, audi tts stock 272 is not factory tweaked at all,quite the opposite.'Tweaked' with just bolt ons and still stock turbo its good for 370-380 bhp

Good vid. Sod 0 to 60 graphs and ''mm, yes were all formula team designers and know what torque is..' (somewhere in Cornwall I think).. if it makes you go 'feck, that's way faster..' then it works!

Had mine remapped with the German remap tunings. she was pushing 330 bhp with 440 torque shes quick for a TT 07 plate
Did you have an app to record a 0-60 and 30-60 comparing standard and stage 1
I do have an app I downloaded for 0-60 im not sure how accurate it is though. Maybe something I can test out soon

Yes no problem at all, we can set your car up at the Mallory HQ and supply you with different tunes for different purposes (fuel ron - switchable - pops n bangs - deletes etc) the selftune portal will be online shortly where you will also be able to request add ons!

@@andezdoes Hi Andrew, nope we dont need it to be here on the dyno, we can tune the car and adjust with you (benefits of being able to flash the car yourself) or you can pop into one of our dealers who will be more local to you. The ethos behind the lead is to enable the customer to have a tuner with them at all times.. allowing you to have adjustments made without needing to come in.

I don't think they have listed it for audi yet you would have to contact them for it. Haha I don't know why it looks like the wheels are not moving I have Litterally just noticed it. I posted the full rolling road run on my instagram

Next thing you will need is a new flywheel and clutch and the extra power will wear them out.
I see that your head unit the radio is an Android I would put the software in the and control it right from the radio I would get an OBD2 Y plug on one side put the tune control and on the other side put the OBD2 Bluetooth for torque on the radio
I'm trying to understand what exactly the software tune is doing and what the trade off is? I can't think there is any downside, otherwise VAG would have done this from the start... more stress on components?
Manufacturers build their vehicles to be supplied all over the world. And because of the different situations the vehicle could be permanently operating in, they have to tune the engine to cope with the worst of them, to minimise the chance of any problems and warranty claims.. So the engine management is de-tuned from its designed capabilities to cope with the worst scenarios of fuel quality, altitude, temperature, humidity, servicing standards, etc, etc. As we know the operating conditions are excellent for an engine in the UK, we can remove this de-tuning during our remapping process
There all under powered for emissions. A map just freese it all up

Had a superchips chip on my tts, was awful, kept overbooosting and cutting.. Went back 3-4 times and gave up in the end and went back to standard.
You recommend the TTS mate? Thinking of getting one.

Mat I’ve just bought a automatic Saab 9-3 2004 2.0 the guy I bought it from said it has had a stage 1 remap when he flooded it and it wheel spun at 40mph what I want to know is that possible and how do I find out if it is been remapped as this is the first automatic I’ve owned

if frame is touched/bent , take the money and shop for a new car. it will never be the same even after repairs, its only good for track cars if the frame has been affected and repaired.

The company that sells the obd for the remap are very limited that they don't have an upgrade for my car
highly unlikely, you should write to them. I've asked and got a quick reply saying they do my engine, even though it's not listed. It's all in the ECU, actually. If you have a common ECU, regardless of the car's brand, almost everyone can tune it, not just these guys.
