- So big modifications have started on my Audi S5 V8. The RS5 bodykit arrived and i tackled fitting it. It was difficult in some places but overall the end result was worth it! Looking alot better now it has been lowered on BC Racing coilovers with the RS5 B8 Body Kit.

My first comment, I’ve been following you since you got the S5 and have to say your doing a grand job, definitely not worried about getting stuck in and getting over problems, I’ve been a mechanic for 30 years now and you are doing a good job, I wouldn’t worry about the armchair mechanics, none of them have a clue what they are on about, just think they do

Great point, its one of the things I love about his channel. Shows you what you would really have to deal with if you did it yourself.

I've given up changing my oil in a garage at home, Mat is over here doing a retro-fit on this thing outside in the driveway! Love watching this series.

Hi, I have S6 black edition and purchased aftermarket front black rings to replace stock chrome - size and keyway weren't exact but I got them on my car OK. When looking vertically down on installation, small gaps can be seen but from front on, mod looks fine and is a good 'un. Bear in mind audi are continually changing their keyway pattern precisely to deter aftermarket mods, so keep persevering with your purchased rings, Really enjoying your vids and your can-do attitude shines through beautifully, cheers !

Keep forgetting MucOff is such a good product. Used it on my BMX and MTB's for years, and it never occurred to me to use it on my car.

Mat, the car is coming together very nicely! It is really starting to look pretty wicked! When you are finished with the car you should do a video that outlines the cost of it and how much you end up having in the car.

I like how you just sawed the tailpipes away without hesitation. Anyway, saw it all the way in .... then weld the new joints to the muffler. It should line up then

Surprising how many sizes of Audi grill rings there are. Swapped my TT to black, didn't order the right size first time, it was a few mms too small, great videos Matt
Hey Mat, really enjoying the build. If you’re looking for any additional ideas for the S5, I’d love to see a steering wheel update. The 1st gen wheel is really looking dated on Audis and I think a contemporary wheel would look great on this car. Keep up the good work!

You're right about the rear lights and the fitment. Worth the upgrade and get the pre-led to facelift led adapter from eBay and you're all good 👍

I had the same issue with the rings on the front of my a6 i had to remove 2 clips from the rings.
Really enjoyed watching this video Mat! Regarding your problem with the exhaust tips not lining up, I would just use it as an opportunity to do a muffler delete and have someone weld a new rear section of the exhaust. Anyways, loving the content you are giving us nowadays.

Hi question what cleaning products du u use to clean all inside the wheel arches and clean your breaks and disks
With the front fog lights not able to fit into the new bumper. Wouldn't you need to upgrade the front headlights with ones which incorporate the fog lights too? Just thinking wouldn't it be a MOT failure?

Would the misaligned exhaust cause damage to the bumper long term if not changed? With it pumping those hot gases etc at the bumper rather than through where it should?

where did you place the jack stands in the front? did you remove belly pan shielding to spot secure point?
I know I'd have lost my shit if I was modding this. Fair play to you for having the patience to see it through. I think you're going to need a new exhaust system to meet that bodykit. I used to have a side exit exhaust on my Renault 5 Turbo and got pulled all the time for having "no exhaust" lol

Had the same problem with replacing the badge on my s5 when I did the grille swap the other day! It was slightly too big bit annoying when you pay $70 for it!
