very nice job my friend ... I made and got some time ago a new air intake for my own audi tt MK2 but I put an aluminum air intake is much more resistant to pressure and of course intercoolers and exhausts

@@BodyByP2015 that's a good mod i got the maxton design front splitter on a pre facelift bumper which I'm putting a new one on and doing a vid of that if you want to fit one of them 👍

Nice. I sel these oversized kits also in NL for the 2.0 tfsi engines. Did you remap the car? If not mount a gfb dv+ then remap it. Stage 1 can go up to 270hp then.👌

Nice build mate, I'm pissed off they made the freaking filter tru the engine cover, so you have to remove it.
I know what you mean mate its a bad design,I'm going to try and fit the later engine cover on it
Are the MOT tyrants going to fail this in the UK? I'm new to the UK and will have to get my car inspected in early October. Will I have to refit the original air box/engine cover before inspection?
No not a problem for mot at all
Late to the party but what kind of power increase did you get? Also, after something like this would you suggest a remap to maximize gain?
I had a custom remap done before the filter but once I done some more power mods I go and get another map done 👍🏻
Hey Chris, can you confirm whether or not this kit came with the 2 bracket risers that you installed into the chassis for the high side of the air box's mounting bracket frame? I don't see them included in any pics or description of this same kit from any retailer. If not in the kit, do you have links or description to that/those parts?

Most retailer websites are telling me that this model doesn't fit my vehicle, but your install video tells me otherwise--I will just need to use a different turbo inlet tube (I don't have a MAF) and the heat shield may require minor customization. Appreciate the detail in your video. Cheers!

my has a stage one remap so I'm running more boost than standard and get a nice sound through the induction kit

yes mate the tts engine cover works as its a ea113 engine as well but i think you need to change some fixing positions I have just left mine off

hey will this fit on a 2015 model? ive been looking everywhere and it only says 2014 but the engines are the same
No it won't fit yours they stopped fitting this engine into tt in 2009-2010 so your engine will be different

I'm stage 2 + so I need one butvi did have this fitted when I was stage 1 with no ill effect
My small plastic cap felt off from that small pipe, is it ok to drive like that?
You mean the plastic cap that goes into the new metal intake pipe? If so yeah but a cap back in or block off with something
where did you get those upstands? im like missing those in my kit haha

hello friend after having mapped the car with this aspiration how are you doing? Have you gained power, have I lost especially at low revs?
I fitted this after the map mate so can't compare but a friend of mine who is mapped aswell couldn't keep up on the top end so definitely helps the engine breathe

I wanted to put this direct intake on my TT stage 2 with oversized intercooler and direct exhaust.
Only thing my TET is driving on the left. But always with battery in the boot and BWA EA113 engine.

Not sure on filter for v6 I don't think ram Air do a induction kit for v6 but I have seen panel filters.have a look on the ttfourm there will be some answers on there if not just start a thread 👍

I heard they do fit lhd as engine is the same lay out but never tried myself

What is the dimension of the air filter that comes with the kit? I'm looking at going with the PRORAM version of their filter instead of the foam filter. Their website doesn't indicate the pipe size. Thanks!

@@CarChris82 Yeah the part that connects to the filter itself. I went ahead and bought the RAMAIR kit with the foam filter anyway though. I suppose I could now take the measurement myself. Cheers!
I have a proram on my mk1 which is 80mm so if its 80mm should be a straight swap
I installed the ramair intake and I got check engine light...
Thats strange many people have fitted without problems I've fitted 4 one on mine and 3 on other peoples cars with no eml light on after,have you plugged the maf back in ? What codes you getting and might be worth checking its all fitted correctly and clamps all done up 👍🏻

You won't want it it has a crack underneath but does have a pipercross air filter in it
i want those headlights but they are hard to come by in the US apparently.
These are the lights that the car came with from the factory how come you can't get them in the US?
@@CarChris82 I think he is referring to the internal bulb housings of your particular headlight units--behind the lens they appear to be darker-clad/black components and accents where ours only/mostly come with silver/chrome looking ones.
@@scgray05 yeah these are how it came from the factory I've not modded them I even had to replace one light and went to Audi to get a replacement these are stock i didn't know they were different to US SPEC
@@CarChris82 Not sure what the deal is--I googled some European/UK Audis and I see both types, so it looks like the dark ones are used on some but not others. Definitely a curiosity now...

Overheating is nothing to do with fitting a induction kit
