Really enjoying watching your vids mate! Very clear very informative and very genuine! I may even post a vid of mine tomorrow once ive given it a full run down of issues.... its definitely got suspension/ steering rack issues. Theres a few cosmetic issues too and she would definitely benefit from a service. I am officially your new apprentice 🙏
If you didnt use a genuine PCV, I highly recommend to replace it again with a genuine one. All the non genuine ones end up sticking. I replaced mine with a Febi Bilstein one and it failed 3months later. Didnt know it had failed but the car was running crap. R-tech sorted it with a new PCV and injectors. Then I had it remapped and it made 290BHP.
@@day_dobbie I should say that Febi Bilstein do make great high quality parts, but apparently non of the aftermarket PCV's are pressure tested which is why they all fail. When I replaced mine back in feb 2023, the one that I took off the car was the original one with a 2006 date code. So a new genuine one should be good for at least a decade if not more.
Very good video and informative. I have though a couple of issues: replaced rusty clips with jubilee clips maybe ok in this instance but are not recommended for lines carrying fuel. Better to use fuel line clips as they tighten concentrically which jubilee clips don't. Secondly going to the bother of renewing parts and then coating them in old congealed oil? Really. Much better if you coat them in clean fresh oil to give them a better chance. That's my opinion and is shared with lots of others. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. The lines I replaced the clips on carry vacuum, not fuel, and because the stock clips are a different style of jubilee clips, it's all good. I get your point, but the oil will circulate around the engine and the follower will have become covered in used oil anyway, even if I used fresh oil when installing. I'm going to do an engine flush and full service soon to clean and replace all the oil/fluids👍🏻 I appreciate the advice and ill be sure to use fresh oil in the future👌🏻
Shops are cool. I've always heard how great they are and how awesome they are. So I'm going to have a shop one day. I never wanted one before but now I do. It's going to be Attached to my castle . It's going to have so much space I'm not even going to know what to do with it all.
Hi there, when I pressed the release valve on the high pressure pump there was no pressure and no fuel sprayed out. Is this an issue? I’d just had a run in the car prior to installing the new cam follower.
@@day_dobbie looking forward to more videos of the mk 2 TT I’ve owned 3 Mk1 TT’s all the 3 engines, my son had a Mark 2 which is nice but has got its issues the spoiler staying up is one which appears to be a common issue and the brake light earth. Keep up the great work 👍🏻
Unfortunately it did… I think I may be because I didn’t fit a genuine purge valve. I also realised afterwards that I was calling it the PCV but that was wrong🙃 I’m looking into PCV deletes and how the effect the engine, so when I’ve done my research, I’ll make a video on it and the pros and cons. I’m also investigating the bank 1 lean fault and when I have a solution, I’ll make a video👍🏻
Nice video! I have a strange noise coming from my engine. Maybe the pcv? I dont know. I have posted a video on my channel. Maybe you know what it could be?

Unfortunately not, but I'll get a genuine one ordered and swap it out. Thanks for the heads up👍🏻

If the securing bolts are stretch bolts they should be torque up in order to generate the design clamping load.
You're dead right! I have torqued the bolts up to 10NM because that's what Audi says the torque spec is👌🏻
Subbed because I was looking for MK2 TT repair videos. Keep up the great work. Getting ready to replace the radiator.
Thanks! Good luck with the rad replacement👍🏻

Go for it! Getting my little unit was one of the of the best decisions I ever made!

Sorry but I couldn't say exactly. If the car runs fine then I wouldn't worry too much👍🏻
Cheers for reply David. Yes it runs fine mate. I’ll do the coils and plugs next.
Nice job it’s nice when things improve the car’s performance 👍🏻
Thanks! It certainly is👌🏻 There's still many more improvements I'm going to make on the TT!

I did think, “he’s probably connected the hardline that he forgot at the start and just not mentioned it. Couldn’t happen twice could it?” 😁
Yep... I forgot it the first time, and the second!🤦🏻♂️😂
LOOK forward to hearing from you
Also have you experience limp mode I changed flushed out my DPF SENSOR BUT oil pump saying issue would that need filter change I hope???
If you have a DPF then I assume yours is the TDI? (Diesel). Mines the TFSI (Petrol), so the engines are different.
Can you also add links to the products? Would be extremely helpful man!!
Ill throw them in the description👍🏻
So they put these maintenance items where you actually can see and reach them.
Must be a well designed engine.
It definitely makes life a lot easier!😅
Iike this will be doing mine asap lol
The newer ea888 engines dont have this problem with cam follower.
Video quality is 💯 👌
Thanks!👍🏻👌🏻
Another great vlog dave
Thank you!👌🏻
Hi, did your bank 1 running lean ever come back or did this fix the problem, and you changed the purge valve, did you change the pcv valve to?

You got some good videos! Wich year you got?
Thanks! It's a 2007
Nice video!

Thanks! Shoot me a message on my instagram (In my Bio) and ill get some more info off you and see what I can find out👍🏻
