David, I keep saying your presentation is extremely good. You’re clear and confident in your narration and the videos are super high quality compared to others.
Stick in with these as I feel you could easily move on to bigger and better things.
These videos are invaluable to people like me who can change like for like if the video ls and explanations are clear such as yours.

Thanks 🙏 update..it’s the head gasket blowing the coolant out the head unit when it’s upto pressure and temp 😢

Sorry to hear that… could be a case of head lift or a failed head gasket. Are you going to get it repaired?

Yeah mate only just baught the car as well it’s a failed head gasket only in its early stage as pushing the coolant to the engine past the gasket and burning off at temp and pressure. Don’t know what it’s gonna cost what’s a rough guess mate?? 1k?

David, I'm seriously considering a mk2 TTS (2015) and your invaluable content has provided me with the confidence knowing I can easily fix any little electrical issues that these vehicles are notorious for. Thank you so much for your time and effort.
I do have one question (so far)...
What code reader device do you use for diagnosing?
Thanks again, mate. Sending good vibes from Alberta, Canada. Cheers!

Got everything out apart from the hose connect to the bottom of the stat I can’t seem to pull it apart it seems to have bonded together, any ideas?

If it’s the hose that has the temp sensor on it, mine was very tight when getting it out. There’s a clip that holds them together so that needs to be pulled out first before you can remove the pipe.

I'd say it took me around 6 hours in total. That was including letting the car cool down enough to do the work. Recording adds time too, so It'd probably take less time if you were just cracking on with it.
