    It would be nice for a list of the stuff your putting in! Or links or something. For us the diy'ers! Like those NGK spark plugs what model are they?

      I’ll dig through my emails, find the receipt for them and update when I find the info👍🏻

    You do know that's a drain plug on the oil filter housing, so you don't get oil everywhere lol

    • @day_dobbie
      @day_dobbie  6 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I realised that afterwards🤣 oh well, either way works I suppose

    You DONT need to take the glovebox out to do the cabin filter!!!! Just go into the footwell with a torch, and its back behind where the bottom bolts are. You can see it from there, slide cover off and replace. There is no need at all to take out the glovebox.

    • @day_dobbie
      @day_dobbie  5 месяцев назад

      Right you are👍🏻 You don't NEED to remove the glove box, but i'm a large fellow and removing it made things easier, rather than squeezing into the footwell. It also made it easy to record and show what to do.

      @@day_dobbie Fair enough. Once you know where it is now though, you can do it by feel. Its easy to find the cover plate and slide it off and the filter only goes back one way. I have had some success taking mine out and washing it etc. Then replaced it eventually...I just wanted to see if it was possible to get it clean and it is.

    Good video pal. Do the spark plugs not need any adjustment or setting? Secondly are you intending on doing the CAM follower any time soon? Thanks

      Thanks! I’ve done a video on the cam follower already, have a look through the channel and you’ll find it👍🏻

    Thanks for the vid! Thinking of chaning spark plugs + coils in my TT Mk2 2012 as well 😎😎 My TT seems to judder/jerk when I pull away in first gear - any idea what that could be?

      Might even be your injectors going bad slowly. Common issue on these cars 2.0t. Join the "audi tt mk2 uk owners" group it really helped me with nearly all issues with mk2 it's a life saver

      These TTs suffer terribly with carbon build up in the engines (2.0 TFSI direct injection) so that could be a cause, maybe blocked fuel injectors too as that's common due to the carbon build up. There are a few things it could be to be quite honest. Im getting a similar issue, so ill try and do a video outlining everything I'd check/do to try and fix it

    How did the car feel/perform after the R8 coil pack upgrade? Looking to do the same on my facelift 2011 S Line 👍

    • @day_dobbie
      @day_dobbie  6 месяцев назад +3

      After changing the plugs and the coils, the car idles a lot smoother! I’ve noticed that it’s more responsive throughout the rev range as well, so no matter the RPM, when you put your foot down it picks up. Feels like a much smoother drive as well.

      Nice video. I've heard conflicting views on the R8 coil packs. A lot of people say they're just cosmetic.

    • @day_dobbie
      @day_dobbie  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks. I don't know if it's just a placebo because I changed the plugs as well but either way, the car definitely drives a lot better now.

      @@day_dobbie I'm not surprised after looking at that tar that came out of the sump and filter. Your plugs definitely needed doing. Keep knocking these videos out because they're great.

      @@day_dobbiewhen you are changing the engine oil filter you will find there is a little screw you can undo (in the middle of the hex) this will let that excess oil oil out so it doesn’t go everywhere when you unscrew the filter. Also, is it possible you could show us how to get the mk2 TT up on 4 jacks (level) and where all the good jacking points are? I have a manual v6 and need to change the gearbox oil, but not really sure how to go about lifting it all level? Cheers
