The BMS intake is typically designed for BMWs, I had one on my 235 and the noise it made was incredible!

I do have a link, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this. It's just an awkward fit which I really don't like. There are better options which are tailored specifically to the TT rather than a general one for this engine (which is also used in the Golf GTI etc) Head over to mlperformance.co.uk - there's a few options there 👌🏾

I got a stage 1 ecu/tcu APR tune on my 2016 TT and it’s making 325 hp and 390 tq ! Such a great “bang for your buck” mod
I like that but is it pulling in warmer, engine-bay air now and is that better or worse than stock for HP?
Potentially yeah, I am looking for an enclosed intake instead, like an R600 or something

Can this be done on the 1.8 tfsi or just the 2.0? All of the induction kits seem to say 2.0l and never mention 1.8
If your engine bay looks the same as mine, I cant see why not

I can only speak from the 'butt dyno' - it feels faster but no evidence to support. A remap is pending so hopefully we'll know more soon!
Would a ram air intake be a good choice?
Yeah I’ve heard this is a better choice as it has a proper shield to protect against engine heat. The R600 is also a good one

Sounds like my grandma struggling to get air. I have a TT and would never make it sound like that. Fair play tho.
😂😂😂😂 that's a very odd description - I think people go for these to hear more of the turbo flutter. Now that the car is remapped you can hear it even more, you'd hate it hahaha

@@owenboggis2457 supposedly it does as it sucks more air into the turbo. More air (especially cold air = more power. These open instakes are more for the noise and they can just increase the amount of warm air being sucked in if they're not fitted in the right place. The enclosed ones with bigger pipes & hoses are the way forward if you want some gains though

@@JamesCF10 I don’t need google, you simple can’t drift or race with front wheel drive also why pick front wheel drive while Audi Quattro is the best driving system there is and is four wheel drive

Also, people don't just tune their cars to go drifting or racing, otherwise I might as well put a rollcage and 4 point seat belts in there just for a remap.
