Strap tip.
I have mine attached to the bottom of the camera. Manfrotto foot plate attaches to camera, strap attached to Manfrotto mount plate. Changes the pivot point and makes for a tension based stabilised platform.

For anything handheld, it would also really help if your camera has some sort of IBIS.
More often than not, with unstalized sensors, even with these techniques, you still have to add warp stabilizer in post except you're doing everything in slow-mo.
