Trail cam video from Tucson, Arizona

- These are some of the visitors to the small water pond I have maintained in my desert yard in Tucson for more than 30 years. The video was recorded on a Bushnell trail cam during June 2014, and features javelina, deer, coyotes, screech owls and (spoiler alert) a bobcat! I just knew there had to be a bobcat around, but I haven't seen one in years. Sweet.
2018 update: First, thanks for all the nice comments. Second, although I am completely baffled by the need to stipulate this, there are no Bigfoots in this or any other of my videos. - Животные
Life if hard for any wildlife today. Thx for providing this act of kindness for them. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful creatures.
Today? Actually easier today.
It's much easier to find wild animals near human habitation than it is far out away from towns.
More food, more fresh water, more places to make a home, more chances to find a mate etc.
@@porkchopspapi5757 The thing is humans have got rid of most natural predators, brought invasive precies into the land and pushed the rest to smaller and smaller areas. It's all about how to define "hard life". For some species it's definitely much easier to go by, but so many have gone nearly or completely extinct. It's all about balance that we now have to control, like without hunting certain animal populations would just go nuts and destroy everything. In some areas it's better and in some much worse.
True, loss of habitat and other situations are making it difficult for wild animals, that's why extinction is increasing even faster.
Keeping the scene natural without music or voice is great. Loved watching it.
This is amazing! Look how important that little watering hole is to the wildlife. Well done!
i take my hat off to you for such a termendous act of kindness by providing precious water to these animals. we often forget how valuable water really is, especially in the desert. for me the nature sounds and watching them was worth it. Lord bless you for your kindness.
This is so wonderful...a place where all critters can come, cool their feet, quench their thirst...making them feel better to go about their day not fearing where they can find such an important live giving resource. How so fantastic you did this for them... And they in return grace you with their presents ... hope others will build such things... perhaps put out a salt lick too?
I simply loved and appreciated the serenity of this footage!!! Thank you!!!! BEAUTIFUL!!!
What a wonderful place to live your life. Able to enjoy such tranquility and not screw it up with crazy music.
So I guess I appreciate you most for leaving it natural. And sharing such wonderful views that most people never get to see.
That was one very big Bobcat! They all know where the waterhole is. We should build more of these in the desert.
"We" have built them. That is, hunters have helped BLM via constructing guzzlers on public lands in order to collect precipitation which aids wildlife.
@@daveybernard1056 Yeah, hunters do it so they can get an easy shot.

How do you keep water in the pond
Great that you maintain this water source for all of them, thank you; thank you also for sharing the videos!!!!
After watching mostly creepy footage on cam, this video is so refreshing. Thanks
As I was watching your video I couldn’t help but think how nice it was for all these creatures to have this oasis in such a harsh environment. Then I saw all the comments from all the folks that feel the same way. God bless you.
You are an awesome human being for having this on your property...such a beautiful thing to do!
Oh, Mmmyy, how peaceful & relaxed I feel after a long hard day of work, in Phx.. Thank You, Mr Foster, for sharing such beauty with us & providing clean drinkable water for the wildlife. ; )
I am sitting here in -34c snowy Canada, enjoying this amazing video of the wildlife in your back yard. Thank you so much for providing a continuous clean water supply for these animals. What a treasure. Thanks 🇨🇦

I'm from Barbados, I live in Tucson now, I moved here this last April, this place rocks, this here is my new home!
Koolist thing I've ever heard of and seen!!
Shows how precious water is🙂, nice video
God bless u u at a great person taking care of God's animals
I grew up in Tucson and forgot how beautiful the sounds of the desert could be.
My mother lived in Tucson for many years in the Catalina foothills and she tended to this same suburban menagerie with food and water. It was fun to visit and see the desert wildlife. Roadrunners were a favorite. They would come take ground beef from my hand! She volunteered at the Desert Museum and was a great interpreter for the easterners visiting. Nice memories thanks.
I love nature... this was really wonderful to watch!
Thank You! 💖
The Sonoran Desert at night! How wonderful that you help us see in the dark like this!
Thank you for the water hole, very kind of you! Enjoyed the video but appreciated what you did for the animals more.
Miranda Brooks they may be hunting over it
Brings back a lot of memories from when I lived in Marana and worked in the Orr Valley at Sierra Tucson. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your amazing video of wild life. I think it's wonderful that you maintain drinking water for all these animals in the dessert where water is scarce. Enjoyed it very much.

Do you put water in it yourself or let the rain do it?
Also, thank you for taking care of all the animals.
Needs to be cleaned and refilled regularly.
@@bobfoster2395 Wonderful job. Thank you!
Thank you for the waterhole your a angel in disguise.
Very beautiful much better then tv
This is an amazing video, no sound but the wildlife. This must be heaven for them, being in the desert 🌵 and to hear them lapping up that water is extra special. Thanks for what you do. 🦋💜
That is great you place water out for the less fortunate. My wife put out water and food for birds, every where. Takes extra with her. We have taken their habitat, only right.
Who says animals are ugly?
They're just beautiful, big or small they're just beautiful!
And thanks for giving water to them!
That owl was so cute! Must be nice people to take time out to put a pond in there property for the wildlife, chear's guys! love the variation of wildlife.
Thank you so much for sharing the natural beauty of Az. I grew up in Tucson and spent the majority of my free time hiking the foothills back in the 70's.. I sure miss those days. Thanks again !!
Well, the 60's and 70's were just the best for growing up in.
So kind that you think of the animals in the desert, what a great guy
Thank you for taking care of these beautiful animals and for sharing!
God bless you..
Can just hear the animals talking about this great water hole they know about .lol what a variety!
To my own astonishment I have maintained the pond for 40 years. That's a lot of generations of critters.
Kathy Myers I know right!!! I was thinking too that the different animals have a schedule.Like they know when it's their turn to drink, unmolested.
How long after you first began filling the watering hole did you start seeing wildlife coming in your yard for a drink?
Merely curious and thank you for 40 plus years.
Bob it's clear you need a "no swimming" sign. 😉
Thanks Bob for sharing I will come back to watch in my time of need. I deal with a disability and not able to get out as much as I would like. So this helps to put the mind in the peaceful place i love going to in the mind. Thank you again
Those animals are counting on you Bob, hope you never let it go dry. Beautiful video.
The world needs more kind hearted people like this. God bless you.
The animals I've come across here in Tucson are .. The first one was a coyote on 6th ave and Pennsylvania. Javelinas on 44th and Palo Verde.. the last one was a couple years ago I saw a coyote at the corner of 2nd ave and palmdale . They are all beautiful creatures .
Loved your video thank you for taking care of our wildlife.
WE CAN NEVER GIVE ANYTHING AWAY,I am sure you have been rewarded many times over for your kindness to these craters.
Thank you for water for the animals.
Man its nice to see someone taking care of this state for once and not trashing it, thank you
Thanks for not adding music or commentary. Nice video.
Would not have been able to hear the drinking or natural sounds. So glad no music.
E S; yeah, I sat perfectly still and didn't hardly blink! Reminds me of when I used to live out in the woods in Washington! Times like this put one's mind in a different state ....... really relaxing, peaceful and one with GOD.
Happy it's almost silent.
Agree with all here. So lovely and calm with all sounds coming from nature. Thank you.
Right! Thanks. I didn't even think about that, & I hate music or jibber over natural sounds. So many You Tubers think they need to ruin the vid they spent so much time putting up.
I’m in snowing Cleveland Ohio and your video just made my day! Beautiful wildlife!
Makes me happy that there’s so many animals out there
Awesome and caring. I often water when I probably shouldn’t but there are so many animals that need it.
Awesome footage ....that pond gets it’s share of visitors !! Look at the bobcat what a variety ! I envy. You 🤠😮
That's very kind of you to offer water to the wildlife! You are blessed!
I love watching wildlife. thanks for sharing.
This is a good video WE gotta APPRECIATE what we got LEFT. MAGA.
I was mesmerized at all the different animals. How kind of you to maintain such a vital part of their survival with fresh water! Thank you for sharing!
This is a beautiful sight that most people don`t ever get a chance to see. I really wish more people were appreciative of our animal neighbors like you obviously are. My husband and I passed by a large family(12 or so) of wild pigs on the side of I-75 in Florida where we live, which started a conversation about how the development of land here is out of control there is hardly any undeveloped land around for all the different species we have. Yet there are soo many buildings lying vacant. Your video will hopefully trigger something in the right people to help fight to set aside land everywhere for our voiceless neighbors, this planet is their home also. Thank you soo much for providing them this oasis, by the way very impressed with how clean you are able to keep the water !
How could you not enjoy this...Great job..Everyone should follow your lead..I also have a deer feeder and i have learned so much by watching all the moves .Very relaxing..Always give back when you can.
This is a really cool upload. As I'm in Australia its extremely interesting to see all your furry visitors. Thanks.
I am a Native of Tucson, missing the magical desert of Arizona more than ever while watching this. Good times. Thank you for posting this footage.
Many thank-yous you for keeping a small pond
Love seeing the animals in their native habitat. I think they are blessed to have your little pond and you are blessed to have this property. How nice of you to share it! Thanks.
Absolutely beautiful! Enjoyed the tranquility of it!
It's lovely of you to give the animals a place to drink. And enjoy water.
I really enjoyed watching, thank you.
Me too .
Love the watering hole is it natural or did you make it...thanks alot
Barbara Montoya no doubt
Thank you for posting this video. Very peaceful. We have about 30 mule deer frequenting our place, several Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, dozens of Harrison Hawks, Grey Owls, Ravens, Crows, Pheasants, Ducks, Geese and it's a delight to watch them.
It's wonderful. Thanks again for sharing.
Yes, I live in Tucson. I enjoyed the owls splashing around.
I really miss Arizona!!! I love the desert and all the wild life. One day I wish to live there again. Thanks for not ruining the video with music, it was very nice to watch.
That kitty was really thirsty! This is an awesome video. Well done!

That is so cool and very sweet of you to have maintained this small watering pool for the wildlife!
Everybody getting a drink.. So sweet. 😸😹🙈🙉🙊😺😽😻
The coyote ran back to tell his buddies "hey guys, found the perfect watering hole".
The wildlife are great full I am sure, and in turn we are graced with being able to see them, beautiful, thank you
God forever bless all the precious people who love animals and nature and are kind to them. Great footage.

Terrific video!!!!! I loved it! God Bless you for offering them water!!
This is such a great service you provide for your little (and big) friends! I feed the birds and enjoy seeing the variety that stop by, but I would REALLY enjoy this! Truly wonderful sir!
A window on the natural world and judging by the comments a lot of people feel the same as I do. Well done Bob Foster.
that's absolutely beautiful very cathartic to sit and watch it thanks for the posting and for watering the animals
thank you. Great to watch.
I live in Toronto, and I do this during the winter for wildlife in the area. So glad u do this, so important!! 💖👍
Very Nice, thanks for sharing.
Beauty and trust between man and nature
Ty Mr. Foster respect in nature as it should be I believe they are here to teach us many lessons you are one who listens thank you.
Just ran across your video. Love the trail cams although I only have coyotes, turkeys, possums and raccoons. Hopefully I will catch a bobcat because 2 have been spotted on my farm. Thanks from TN.
I really enjoyed this ty Bob love the little pool you made for them. good job
Bob, have you ever had the elusive jaguar come to the waterhole? I saw that some rancher's reported seeing or one or two in SE AZ a few years back.
As my Daddy might have said, wouldn't that be a kick in the butt. Not even cougar, though they are maybe 5 miles away on any given day. But jaguar have been seen in the mountains just south of Tucson. Solitary males on the edge of their range, up in the higher elevations.
Thanks---all God's critters gotta drink.
heidi Holiday 💜💜💜
Thank you for caring for our 4 legged friends
Wonderful video! No (C)rap imitation LOUD music. Amazed at the quantity of wildlife that shows up at the watering hole. Thanks.
Love. Love. Love your videos.. So relaxing watching the animals.. Tranquility.. Thank you for sharing..
I liked the owls.
This is such a great idea , there very lucky to have that water
Best video out there imo. God bless you
Really very nice of you to do this. TY
Thanks Bob, I'll bet your a "HOOT" to talk with!!!
This is a brilliant idea! Wildlife gets lifesaving water and you get awesome footage :) I love that it's not too deep for the smaller animals to fall in.
im living island of oahu no an when young lived tucson back 72 tru 74 i miss it an remembers abino cayyon an well forget alot
It has changed a lot. Some for the better, some not so much. The Tucson Greater Metro area and surrounding Pima County are pushing one million people. Come visit, you no longer have to de-plane on the tarmac!
What a beautiful environment you've created. I love the desert.
Totally awesome!! 👍🏼
I love it out there. My Uncle Jack lived out there near to Sabino Cyn. Loved going up. Handicapped so having the tram that goes up was a wonderful ride up, walk back or stay on the whole trip. I love the little owls at the end. very soothing video! thanks~~~
Looks like you are feeding a lot of the wildlife. At least, they've come to rely upon your keeping that water hole full for them. Good for you!!!!
Beautiful! I had property behind the Tucson Mountains with a pond that attracted so much wildlife as well. I miss it very much so thank you for this!
Thanks, Bob, this made my day...
A great thing Bob Foster to have maintained water for wildlife for 30 years. I wondered where and how the shallow pool kept water in the desert. Live long and prosper and may the pool of water never run dry. Was very glad to learn it is not in a park, or hunting area, and provided because of love. May your life/karma be rewarded for this good deed. Well done is always better than well said.
Peace and long life.
The ending was a hoot
That bobcat was really thirsty! So neat to watch! Very kind thing to do. Oh wow two owls!
watching from western australia, nice
What a great video! This was so peaceful to watch. It has inspired me to put a water hole on my place for the wildlife here in northern AZ.
